Ellen Harshman, Ph.D., J.D., Dean

of the John Cook School of Business, said having top ranked programs in the key fields of entrepreneurship, international business and supply chain management is a positive indicator that SLU is at the forefront of preparing students for the global marketplace.

"SLU's business programs provide the students of today

with the academic knowledge, hands-on learning and creative acumen needed to be successful leaders," Harshman said.

She also noted that all three academic programs are

Mr. Rick Brenner, a prominent writer in Product Safety highlighted our program in PromoMarketing column on March 19, 2012. He wrote about the importance of product safety awareness and training and suggests “appointing someone in a company as product safety lead and sending that person to product safety training such as a class offered by a major testing lab or the Certificate in Product Safety Management program offered by Saint Louis University.”

“The designee”, he said, “should develop and

implement a risk assessment process, maintain product safety documentation and act as the point person if the company is ever involved in a recall. Once these basic processes are in place, take the initiative to the next level. Develop a comprehensive quality manual for all of the supply chain standard operating procedures and also develop a recall preparedness plan”.
