Plas-Tech® 30º ScrewsMETRIC - Round Bodied Single Thread Screws

This screw for plastic has a 30º-thread angle and an 8º pitch angle which optimises performance in all types of thermoplastics.

The 30º-thread profile minimises radial expansion and stress in the boss. It also increases load-carrying capabilities through increased thread engagement and can be used in repeat assembly operations.

The optimum thread pitch allows deeper thread engagement and increases pull-out values. The recessed thread root allows optimal material flow, minimises installation torque, improves clamp load and minimises the potential of the boss cracking.

The round body of the screw evenly distributes the surface contact between the application and the screw, improving load ratio.

Polymate® 40º ScrewsMETRIC - Round Bodied Twin Thread Screws

Product Ranges from Stock

A metric series round bodied, twin-start thread forming screw with a high helix for plastic applications. This screw for plastic has a 40º-thread profile and is suitable for use in all thermoplastic materials.

The Polymate® screw has excellent resistance to thread stripping and therefore high pull-out loads. Twin-start threads reduce installation time and give a balanced driving action

The thread design captures the maximum amount of the anchor material giving a high differential between tapping and stripping torques. It can be used in pre-moulded or drilled holes and accommodate a wider variation of pilot holes.

It can be re-inserted many times without the risk of cross-threads: a major benefit in applications where the screw will need to be taken out and put back, to allow servicing for example.

A metric series (3-lobe bodied) thread rolling screw for plastic applications. This screw has a 45º-thread profile that allows deep thread penetration into the plastic material.

The thread form generates strong mating threads in the application and increases resistance to strip-out. The extra sharp and widely spaced threads produce a low bursting effect with a low driving torque.

The screw’s 3-lobe body allows displaced material to cold flow back into relief areas which minimises radial stress and reduces the possibility of boss failure.

The Plas-Fix® 45º is suitable for a wide range of thermoplastics, especially those that are stress sensitive and also some thermosets.

Thread Cutting Screws are designed to “cut” threads in (usually) hard or brittle plastics. Thread Cutting Screws minimise installation torque and maximise assembly performance.

The thread pitch achieves a deep thread engagement and the recessed thread root provides space for displaced material to go, minimising the risk of blocking-up the threads during installation.

An inch series (3-lobe bodied) thread rolling screw for plastic applications. This screw for plastic has a 60º-thread angle and has been especially developed for thermoplastic applications.

A low driving torque and a low bursting torque effect is produced due to the special shape of the threads.

The screw’s 3-lobe body allows displaced material to cold flow back into relief areas which minimises radial stress and reduces the possibility of boss failure.

The Plas-Fix® 60º is suitable for a wide range of thermoplastics and some thermosets and can also be used in soft metals such as aluminium castings and extrusions.

High-Low screws have two widely spaced threads which allows increased thread engagement in softer thermoplastics, increasing resistance to pull-out and improving product performance.

The high thread has a 30º included angle whilst the low thread has a 60º included angle which is approximately 45% of the high thread.

The unique thread form has many advantages in plastic applications.

The high thread reduces the radial stress, requires a low driving torque and minimises cracking and bursting. High Low screws also have a smaller minor diameter than standard screws that allows a greater shear area.

Additional benefits include increased thread engagement and an increased resistance to pull-out.
