GENERAL NOTES:
G1. ALL vehicles and equipment entering the Airport (outside the Marshall Site Security Fencing) shall beproperly marked with flags and/or flashing amber lights during daytime construction, and flashing amberlights for night construction, as specified in Division 9 of the Project Manual.
G2. ALL pavement areas used by the CONTRACTOR will be brushed clean and hosed down, if necessary, toremove any mud or debris as required keeping the pavement clean and as requested by the ENGINEER.Any debris left at the end of the work day shall be removed before the CONTRACTOR leaves the site.
G3. The CONTRACTOR will be responsible for locating and avoiding existing cables, water lines and otherutilities that are to remain during all phases of the work. Any cables or utilities damaged duringconstruction will be repaired and/or replaced at the Contractor's expense. The CONTRACTOR will alsosupply splice marker(s) at their expense as directed by the ENGINEER. Repairs must begin immediatelyand be completed that same work period.
G4. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for all surveying and layout of all the work. This shall be verified by theEngineer or other authorized Airport Authority Representative prior to beginning construction.
G5. The CONTRACTOR will be required to call the "Miss Utility of West Virginia" at 1-800-245-4848, at least 3days in advance, before any construction can begin. The Contractor must submit written verification tothe Engineer that the Contractor contacted Miss Utility prior to beginning construction.
G6. The Contractor shall maintain dust control measures on the project at all times. The control of dust in theseconstruction areas is critical due to their proximity to operating aircraft. At the ENGINEER'S request, theCONTRACTOR shall take the necessary steps to keep dust to a minimum. This may include providingwater trucks or other dust-controlling devices for excavation and haul road areas.
G7. Any water required for the project will be furnished by the CONTRACTOR. Contact the local water authorityfor assistance.
G8. Upon completion of the project, the CONTRACTOR shall make all necessary repairs to the haul roads andcontractor staging area(s) as ordered by the ENGINEER. All disturbed areas, including theCONTRACTOR'S staging area(s), shall be restored to a smooth line and grade with positive drainage.All stone and pavement placed at the staging area(s) shall be removed unless so requested to be left inplace by the OWNER. The CONTRACTOR shall seed and mulch all disturbed area(s).
G9. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for obtaining all permits, licenses, bonds, etc. required byLOCAL, STATE and FEDERAL agencies.
G10. The CONTRACTOR shall mark and light areas under construction in accordance with the plans andspecifications. Reference is directed to the specifications. Equipment and vehicles entering the Airfieldshall be marked with 3-feet by 3-feet orange and white checker flags (day only) or a yellow flashing dometype light (day and night) when operating on Airport property. (See note G1 above and Aviation FlagDetail on AP-04.)
G11. The OWNER reserves the right to contract and perform other or additional work adjacent to and withinthe work area covered by this contract. When separate contracts are let within the limits of any oneproject, each CONTRACTOR shall conduct his/her work so as not to interfere with or hinder the progressor the completion of the work being completed by other CONTRACTORS. The CONTRACTORS workingon the same project shall cooperate with each other as ordered by the ENGINEER. Any additional effortor work required for such coordination with other CONTRACTORS shall be incidental to the project andno separate assurance or payment shall be made.
G12. Any listed Manufacturer's equipment shall mean that listed item or an approved equal.
G13. The CONTRACTOR shall submit catalog cuts and shop drawings to the Engineer.
G14. The CONTRACTOR shall verify that any equipment used to communicate with their work forces does notinterfere with any airport facilities.
G15. The CONTRACTOR shall control noise during construction in accordance with federal, state, and localrules, regulations, and ordinances.
G16. The CONTRACTOR'S access to the site will be as shown on the plans or as approved by the ENGINEER.
G17. The CONTRACTOR is to conduct their operation in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-2G,"Operational Safety on Airports During Construction."
G18. The CONTRACTOR is urged to inspect the Construction Site prior to bidding the project.
G19. Clear, unobstructed access routes for emergency equipment shall be maintained through the constructionsite at all times.
HAUL ROUTE NOTES:
H1. All CONTRACTOR and SUBCONTRACTOR personnel and equipment shall use only the designated haulroutes for ingress and egress to the construction site and for hauling materials to the site.
H2. The CONTRACTOR shall keep gates closed at all times when construction is not occuring.
H3. The CONTRACTOR shall take steps to protect all existing pavements used as haul routes. Any damage toexisting pavements shall be repaired immediately. Temporary repairs to pavement are acceptable. At thecompletion of the project, the CONTRACTOR shall make permanent repairs to any damaged or repairedpavements. No additional payment shall be made for pavement repair necessary due to CONTRACTOR'Shauling operations.
H4. Any damage to the existing pavement (not shown on the plans to be repaired) by the CONTRACTOR willbe repaired and/or replaced by the CONTRACTOR at the CONTRACTOR'S expense.

E003 Detail 4 shows a new 12-Strand SM Fiber from Existing Hanger 7, who is responsible for furnishing,
installing, and terminating this fiber? Drawing AP-09 shows the incoming conduits for this fiber, but
Hanger 7 is not shown. If the electrical contractor is to furnish and install this fiber can you verify the
location of Existing Hanger 7 or provide a distance for bidding purposes?

Drawings EC‐505 and EH‐503 show various Access Control Door Wiring Details No's 1 thru 4 and 1 thru
2 respectively. Note that each Detail describes the conduit size as 3/4" to/from each device "By EC". The
description then goes on to state for "Device Cabling by EC" but no cabling size is indicated on any of the
referenced Details. If the EC is to furnish and install all cabling for the access control devices at these
doors please provide the cabling requirements (ie: Similar to as shown for the lighting controls, one line
diagram and grounding schematic)

submittal process as per specification 28 1300 'Access Control and Security
Management System'. It shall show how all the access control system
hardware and devices are to be connected together for a complete functioning

Drawings PC101, PC121 and PH101 call for natural gas piping to be extended from underground and
terminate with a meter and regulator assembly aboveground at the Classroom and Hangar Buildings. The
Plumbing Contractor is to extend the gas piping from the house side of the meter/regulator assembly into
each building. Please confirm that the natural gas piping up to, and including, each meter/regulator
assembly is to be furnished and installed by Mountaineer Gas Company (Reference Note 5 on Drawing
AP‐09)

Contractor will connect to the outlet of the meter and extend the gas piping into
the building from that point. See revised Utility Plan drawing AP-09 issued in
Addendum No. 2, for extent of piping required by Contractor outside the

a) Where is Hangar 7 located in relation to the new Classroom Building?
b) Please show the routing on a "to-scale" drwingofthe existing conduit running from Hangar 7 to the area
