African Peoples Convention (APC) inSekhukhune is claiming that the presiding of-ficer at Supatsela Primary School in Moteti hasrobbed them off their votes. According to theAPC councillor in Elias Motsoaledi Mr IsaacMkhaliphi, the final records that he picked upat the IEC offices in Groblersdal indicate thatthe party received 0% of votes at the SupatselaVoting Station.Mkhaliphi said the organization has a largenumber of supporters around the area and it isnot possible that they can have a 0% vote.“I even casted my vote at that station but it isalso not appearing, how is that possible. Wehad a party agent who was also present duringthe vote counting and it was evident that wehad a total of 93 votes in that station. Aftercounting, we had 42 votes provincially and 51votes nationally. This is a daylight robbery and

is totally unacceptable. We want anyone whois responsible for such cruel corruption topay,” he said. Mkhaliphi said although thepresident is been inaugurated, the presidingofficer and everyone who is involved in thematter must account.“If it happens that everyone involved escapesprosecution, things like these will repeat them-selves in the near future and some organizationwill come into power after cheating. This is alsonot fair to the community. They are told to raisetheir voices through elections but it is wellknown that there will be some corrupt officialswho will be tempering with the elections,” hesaid. According to the APC party agent whowas deployed at Supatsela Voting Station thatday Mr Mathibela, the organization has hadpeople who voted for them. He said he startednoticing that something was fishy when thepresiding officer demanded his signature whiletheir votes were not appearing on the statusreport. “After noticing that we have beenrobbed of our votes, I went to the presidingofficer to investigate and she told me that sheis going to rectify the mistake. I am now sur-prised to see the final report saying we didn’thave even a single vote but I know very wellthat I voted for APC,” he said.Mkhaliphi informed the Dispatch that the or-ganization is planning to take the matter for-ward to make sure that justice is prevailing inthe government.
