Greetings From the Rohnert Park Senior Center! Some of you may be familair with receiving a hard copy of the SCAN (Senior Center Activity Newsletter) on a monthly basis as a perk of your senior center membership. As our "normal" has changed, so has our distribution of our newsletter! This newsletter has been e-mailed out to all of our members as well as posted on our city's website at rpcity.org. In this issue you will find resources, activities, and wellness tips. With the current shelter in place order, the Senior Center is remaining closed until further notice. Although our building is closed, the center remains committed to keeping seniors a priority. If you or a senior you know is interested in receiving wellness calls, please e-mail me, or leave a message on the Senior Center voicemail. Amanda Foley Community Services Program Coordinator II (Senior Center) [email protected] 707-585-6784 Hello! We certainly miss seeing your faces in our Center. The familiar sounds of conversation in the coffee bar area, the music coming from the fitness classes in the activity room, and the buzz in the dining hall during our lunch program are some things we particularly miss. As a City we are committed to providing services to you, our Senior Center members, in the safest way possible and assure you that we will continue to do so. We don’t have an anticipated date for reopening yet, but we are still here for you and welcome communication. We hope you are staying socially connected to your friends and family, and are finding ways to stay physically active. We will be looking for ways to help with both of those things as the shelter in place orders continue and will present those opportunities to you through this newsletter and the City’s social media channels and website. Stay safe and well and please reach out if you need us. Cindy Bagley Deputy Director of Community Services [email protected] 707-588-3452
