The Senior Will of Scott Altman

These last four years have gone by so quickly. I know, I know, that’s a cliché. I also realize that it has become cliché to say something is cliché. So, whatever. It’s essentially impossible to describe the NFTY experience without using any. Anyway, these four years will be something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. From socials to social action, the basketball games to services, NFTY played a huge part during my high school years. Now that I’m a senior, it’s time to say goodbye. I’ll be seeing you. Kansas City: Carolyn Hamburg: Ask anyone in NFTY who knows you and they’ll say you’re one of the nicest girls they have ever met. It’s the truth! I’m glad you chose NFTY over BBYO, those train rides and days spent at the airport would have felt a lot longer without you there! You have crazy secret admirers in NFTY and for good reason. You’re an awesome girl and I hope your senior year is awesome! It really will fly by, enjoy it. Margo Hellman: You’re crazy. When we were in the same Wednesday school classes in Elementary or Middle school, can’t remember which, I still remember you being crazy. You have a lot of life in you and that’s awesome. Going to miss you next year cuz! Have a great senior year. BTTY: Even though we’re not one of the biggest or loudest youth groups in Mo-Valley, we definitely never went unnoticed. The thing I always liked about our youth group is the diversity we have. During events, we all sort of had different friend groups but when we came together during lunches it was like this cool little reunion and everyone always seemed to enjoy each other’s company. Keep this youth group going! The few. The proud. BTTY. Denver: To Ben Colson: Paul, Brett, Joel. You’re one of my best friends, in NFTY and out. I’m forever grateful you joined Sophomore year because NFTY would not be remotely the same for me if you hadn’t. I think the reason we became such good friends so fast is because we both have Ian’s sense of humor. Also because of Shwayder (sorry I’m not going back this year but I know Joey will do his best to fill the huge, almost irreplaceable void that I’m leaving). I know our love for Kyle videos and Kendrick will keep this friendship strong for years to come, no matter where are respective paths take us. This is about to be the best Winter Kallah 2K7 ever. Thank you Based God. To Ali Oksner: Well, we’ve known each other since 7th grade, so I guess we know each other somewhat well. You’ve really come along way since your “prime” when you had pink hair, braces, and frequently lost your voice. I hope we stay in contact for a long time; we have a good thing going with this mutual advice-giving relationship we’ve established. Even though sometimes you’re so opinionated it scares me, I know it’s a trait that will get you far in life, earning the respect of all who come in contact with you. Don’t lose touch. To Jordy Bartell: Dude, I still feel like you’re my twin. Wish you would have joined NFTY earlier but I’m happy Ben got you to at least come to these last few events! Even though we just met a few months ago, after we talked for like 15 minutes, I felt like I had known you for years. You’re sick and we got to keep in touch man.

Page 5: Senior wills

To Jacob Oligschlager: Your last name is frightening. You already know that though. I had a great Summer with you at Shwayder and I’m glad you decided to join NFTY! Thanks for helping me through K-Staff, I probably would not have made it without you and Ben. Just like Jordy, after we had our first conversation, I felt like I had known you for the longest time. You’re the man and I’ll see you around. To Madelyn Tenenbaum: I’d like to apologize for having such awful timing. Ah well, life goes on. I think the best part about our friendship is when we make awkward eye contact, like all the time. It’s your fault, but I digress. You were the first girl to ever comment on the size of my buttocks. I’m pretty sure I have to keep this PG, so…buttocks. And that’s pretty cool…I think. Anyway, I hope you have a great senior year! I know it’ll be awesome. To Madeline Clark: You are probably the most sarcastic person I have ever met. I’m not sure if there’s ever been a time when we’ve had a serious conversation, but I kind of like that! You keep things real lighthearted all the time. Everyone needs a friend like that. Keep it real and I hope you have a great senior year! To Eada Gendelman: I’m sorry that I intimidated you for however long it was! As you got to know me more, I hope you found me to be a more down-to-earth person. I’ve always thought you were somewhat of an individual; you’re unique without even trying. That’s a special trait to have. Don’t change for anyone. To Sam Gendelman: Dude, you’re probably the most mature underclassman of all time. When I met you when you were a freshman, I thought you were my age. Your style is as cool as your sister’s and I’m glad we’ve bonded through our love for Hip-Hop amongst other things. You’re going to do big things in NFTY over the next couple of years man. Later. To Shelby “Craig” Ginsburg: Don’t be mad at me, you already know I had to slip “Craig” in here somehow. Thank Josh Altman for that. You’re one of my oldest NFTY friends and I wish we would have hung out more than we did during events! You’re hilarious and I wish you a happy and healthy relationship with my bro Jared Scrinopskie. You guys really were meant to be. Keep in touch next year! Peace. STL: To Zach Heiman: Thanks for introducing me to Paul and Joel. I’m forever in you’re debt. We’ve known each other for so long and I’m only kind of tired of you! Haha lol I’m just kidding…but seriously. This friendship was sparked through the love for panel and Daniel Tosh. Those were some of my favorite nights we had, you, me, Brett, Joel, and Paul watching Tosh and Jeselnik. Joel had mad game also, must run in the Heiman family. I’m going to miss you next year man, for real! Have fun wherever you go man and don’t lose touch. To Tyler Andreasson: I’m glad Josh introduced us however long ago man. Since then, I think we’ve gotten to know each other a lot better. Honestly, I’ve never met a dude who spends as much time in the bathroom as you. I’m really curious as to how long you spend brushing your teeth every morning. My guess would probably be like…seven minutes. Get back to me on that one. I’m going to miss you next year man! Hope all goes well for you as life goes on. Omaha: Maddie Jensen: Not sure if you’re even going to be at this event so this could be a waste of time, but oh well! We met during Winter Chavurah as freshman. I remember Josh Altman pointing you out on the bus ride to the temple and it seemed like every guy around us was calling dibs on you. Blonde Jewish girls are a rare sight! It was awesome hanging out with you over these last few years and I hope life treats you well wherever you go.

Page 6: Senior wills

Hannah Budwig: One of the nicest girls NFTY has to offer. I’ve known you for all four years and I really do wish we hung out more! I hope college is awesome for you next year. Also, I see you posting about show choir all the time, wish I got to hear you sing at some point! Keep it real yo. Springfield: Raya and Ilana: I really wish I had met you guys last year! I mean, we were all there, we just never talked! That’s crazy. I’m glad Winter Chavurah brought us all together, you know? Raya – can’t believe you choice Indiana over KU. I’m going to do my best to forgive you somehow. Ilana – you are the coolest (and only) Latvian I’ve ever met. You guys are definitely two of the best looking girls I’ve gotten to meet over these last four years. And you’re just straight up awesome people. Hope college is awesome next year! Peace.

The (Senior) Will and Testament of Hannah Budwig To all of NFTY-MV, words can’t describe how difficult it is to put all my feelings into words. I don’t mean to sound cliché when I say that being a part of NFTY has changed my life, but there is no other way to put it. It’s something that only we understand. It’s something that connects us to something bigger than ourselves. Everything you do whether it is on a national, regional, or local level, take pride in it. For the freshman, sophomores, and juniors, your time is short and it flies by so let NFTY-MV make you a better person than you already are. Become a leader, become the person you strive to be. I met my best friends in the whole wide world through here and I’ll miss every single one of you. NFTY Giants: Mo: You are the reason why I’m in NFTY in the first place. Thank you so much for moving to Omaha because you’ve changed my life in ways that I can’t even imagine. ‘I love you’ isn’t even a phrase that can capture how much I care about you. HP: Thank you so much for teaching me how to be a great leader. You are such an amazing role model and I love you so much that it hurts. OTYG: I am so proud of every single one of you. We all have been bombarded with an overwhelming amount of change this year and you all adjusted so well. I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to lead you. I’m so excited for the future of OTYG because you guys are going to make it awesome. Don’t you dare to forget that I am only a text, call, or FaceTime away. Even though I’ll be more than 600 miles away next year, my heart will always be a part of OTYG. Nebraska: Abbz Hack: You are amazing. You have grown so much in these past two years and have become an amazing leader. You are going to be such an amazing president next year. Have fun with it and remember that I will always love you. Jacob: Thank you so much for always being there to give a helping hand when needed. You always come up with such creative programs and services. You rock. Sophie: I’m just going to get straight to it, I am so proud of you and I love you more than anything. You are amazing. You have taken initiative and do every so well. You are going to be such a great leader as an upperclassman in OTYG. Never forget where you come from and have a blast with Aleia the next two years. I love you. Maddie M: You are just like another little sister to me. I love you dearly and appreciate everything you have done. I love your passion and compassion towards others. You’re awesome and don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Abby R/Sierra/Mikayla/Olivia/Lindsay: You all are amazing girls. Each one of you brings so many amazing things that make OTYG what it is. Stayed involved and love each other as much as you possibly can because I love you guys. Tanner: I am so incredibly proud of you. It takes so much courage to become president of a new youth group. You have led LTYG in the most amazing way and I can’t wait to hear all about your success in the coming years. LTYG: Wow, you guys are all great. I can’t thank you enough for supporting OTYG by coming to our programs and even the spaghetti dinner. It is so nice to have you guys so close. Good luck in your future endeavors. Kansas: Ethan Stone: I love you dearly and thank you so much for being such a positive influence in my life. Ian: You are seriously the best and are so easy to talk to. Thanks for always being a great friend. Margo: Girl, you are crazy and outgoing and perfect in every way. You’re enthusiasm is so contagious and I love you so much because you are you. Hannah B: You’re great. Being roommates at national convention and locking ourselves out of our room way too many times was the best. You mean a whole lot to me and I love you! Scotty: You’re so fun to talk to and are insanely talented. You are going to do amazing things with music whether it’s as a profession or hobby. Remember me when you’re famous! Daniel: You are so chill and have the kindest personality. I hope that wherever you go in life, you always find happiness. Jared: We’ve been buds since the beginning and I can’t even begin to describe how awesome you are. You’re one of the funniest people I know. STL: Jacob: I love you so much and you mean the world to me. I love how inclusive you are. Thanks for being an awesome friend. Tyler: You seriously are the most positive person and even in the most stressful situations and that’s a skill few people can achieve. But this isn’t a goodbye or anything because I’ll see you in August in B-town! Zach: You are full of amazing advice. I can’t thank you enough for helping me with my senior project; you’re really an expert. Thank you for being such a great friend, leader, and role model. I love you! Ellie: I still think back to our Israel trip every day and am so happy we get to share so

many memories. You are a lovely person and love you so much. Jordyn: Girl, I love you. You are the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. I’m going to miss you so much. You are going to do amazing things. I love you! Mia: Thanks for being the best prez net partner ever. I love how so down to earth you are. I love you so much! Jaime: I love you so much. I can’t imagine life without you. You seriously make me laugh every time I’m in your presence. I’m going to miss you so much! Colorado: Shelby: It feels wrong trying to express my appreciation for you on paper. You have given me a purpose to continue to be in NFTY. You always think logically and it balances my frequent illogical thinking. You’re amazing in every way. I can’t thank you enough for being my friend and always being there for me. I love you from the bottom of my heart. Hannah W: It’s amazing that it took having a mutual best friend for us to become so close. Where have you been all my life? I love you so much and cherish every second that we spend together. You’re going to make a great doctor someday. I love you to the moon and back. Emily Kohn: My first vivid memory of us becoming friends is when we were sitting outside LAX waiting to go to convention and you were wearing your ripped crop leggings. From then until now and until forever, I will always think you’re amazing. You are such a great leader and such a great friend. You have the biggest heart. I’m going to miss you so much. I don’t know what I’m going to do without seeing you as often! Madeline Hope: I love you so much it’s crazy. You are one of the nicest people I know and I cherish our friendship. Thank you so much for being an amazing friend and always knowing exactly what to say. Sarah Gertz: You are seriously so awesome. I love you so much. You are so funny and are so much fun to be around. I can’t thank you enough for being my friend. Ali: You are awesome and I can’t explain how much I love you. You are so sincere but yet sassy and you own them both. Our friendship means the world to me and I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I never met you. Ben Colson: You are so outgoing and chill at the same time. You rock at life and I’m going to miss you so much. Sam G: It’s weird to think that we’ve been friends for not even 2 years. You are such a kind, honest, and genuine person. I can’t thank you enough for the friendship you’ve given me and I can’t even put into words how awesome you are. You have been there for me when nobody else was and I can’t thank you enough for that. I’m going to miss you so much. You are going to do great things and I can’t wait to see it all. I love you! Olivia B: You are seriously so talented and I love looking at all your dance pictures. I remember the first time I met you, you were recovering from an operation and was out of dance for such a long time. I love you so much and although we didn’t see each other too much, I couldn’t live without our friendship. Lilly Karsh: You are the most amazing person ever. You’re passions makes you one of a kind. I can’t thank you enough for letting me share some of that with you. I love you! Natalie: You are awesome. Rooming with you at convention was so much fun. You have such a stellar personality and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you do. I love you! Illinois: Raya: I love you to death. I can’t believe we both have gone to OSRUI for so many years but never knew each other. But there’s only one explanation, upstairs vacuum. I love you so much and I’m so excited that we are going to school together next year. See you at IU! Beth Lipschutz: Thank you for making my experience in NFTY-MV all that it could be. You allow NFTY-MV it be a place where it changes lives and that’s exactly what happened to me. During that process you have managed to change my life. You are so honest, trustworthy, and all around genuine and that is why Missouri Valley is what it is. It’s been amazing being able to be a part of Missouri Valley and it’s all thanks to you. I love you.

SeniorsAlex Jacks- Hey remember my name yet? Ali Oksner- I can honestly say that you’re going to be one of the few people I’ll miss next year, as well as your ability to pull off overalls and really short hair. Not everybody can do that, ya know. Ben Colson- You’re tolerable. Daniel Hakan- D-Hake!! You’re really an amazing guy! You’re so easy to talk to and you’re incredibly funny too. Essentially you’re the definition of the NJB (nice jewish boy). Keep in touch next year! Ellie Pinto- Girl you’re amazing. You’ve given so much to this region and NFTY as a whole. You’re a fabulous human being. Hannah Budwig- You’re the Derek to my Meredith, and Jackson to my Avery. These past four years would not have been what they were without you in my life. You have 100% been my rock. You’re one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, and you’re not afraid to be weird, which is good cause you make me look normal ;). Literally thank you for being in my life, because you taught me what it means to be a true friend. I can see you being one of the few people from NFTY that I’ll never lose contact with. I love you to the moon and back <3 Hannah Wolf- Our relationship got off to a rocky start, but now I consider you one of my closest and best friends. Our immaturity during bio lectures and bra shopping adventures are perfect. You have such good intentions and know exactly where you’re going in life, which is something I wish I could say. I really hope we stay in touch next year, aka you’re gonna come to Mizzou ALLL the time. Peace out, owowoWOOOOO (close enough). Ilana Litvak/ Raya Seidman- You guys are both so gorgeous it’s extremely intimidating. Seriously I’m so glad you both joined NFTY because the experience has only gotten better since you joined! Jacob Maier- or NAH. Just kidding. Our skype calls are prime and even though I’m so rude to you all the time I actually consider you one of my best friends in NFTY and life in general. You’re so caring all the time even when it’s not deserved, and rude when greatly appreciated. I sincerely hope we “switch places” next year because that allows for a greater chance of us seeing eachother again frequently! Also, all you’ve done for NFTY so far is so incredibly admirable. You literally started from THE bottom and now you’re the very first person in your position on NAB which is KILLER AWESOME. I’m so freakin proud of you and actually screamed and cried a little when they announced you won over twitter. I’m lucky to have a best friend like you. K bye. Lilly Karsh- Well hey there, very first new friend in NFTY. I think we’ve pretty much been through it all together… The creepy awkward host home, israel, being bad at bowling, you name it. You’re the most down to earth person I’ve ever met and I know you’ll always put a smile on my face, even if your voice is gone which is like, always. Your passion for Camp Rainbow astounds me. Seriously you give it your all girl, which is pretty great. Madeline Hope- It’s pretty ironic that we were rushed together, and then here we are, two of the few remaining TSYG seniors. Board these past three years with you was great, because we got to become so close, especially through bonding over our embarrassment of those awkward pictures on Carly’s wall. My house at winter was the greatest. I mean, who else could I laugh so hard over popcorn that you fall on the floor with? I’m writing this you don’t know where you’re going next year, but I am confident that wherever you go will be lucky to have you! Sarah Quiat- I’m so blessed we got to go to Israel together because you were probably one of the few people on the trip I thoroughly enjoyed the presence of. You’re a really good friend and I only hope I was as good a friend to you as you were to me. You’re so cute and adorable and I love your hair and your clothes and ability to not care at all. Scott Altman- I think we have to break up. It’s not me, it’s you. I just can’t date someone who isn’t as pretty as me and is bad at holding hands. Tyler Andreasson- You’re a really good guy, and you’re going to have so much fun at Indiana next year. However, I’m afraid I can’t be friends with someone who rides their tractor to school. Zach Heiman- You’re the only person in NFTY who I’d be willing to watch eat blazin’ buffalo wings and still call my friend.JuniorsAdam Vicksman- Little vicks. My co-victor-stealer. Torch. The list goes on and on of the weird things that you’ve brought to my life in NFTY. You have just so much heart about everything you do, which is such an admirable quality. I know I’m usually mean to you but it’s just my weird way of showing affection. TSYG would not be the same without you, and I mean that. Even though you’re the “younger sibling” you have made such a statement for yourself and truly become your own person which I couldn’t be more proud of. I don’t have anything specific to will to you, so I’m just going to will you my heart and soul for TSYG, and only hope that you will carry on that same passion. Alyson Yawitz- Hey there co-parent of Humphrey Sal the dinosaur. I’m so glad you will be passing on the tradition with Emma Hope next year! You’re the most precious thing on this planet, and it was pretty great running into you in the holy land this summer. #casual. If I were to come back and visit NFTY next year, it would be to see all the great things you’re going to do with it. Come visit me in Columbia next year! Emily Kohn- You’re the best co-president I’ve ever had! This year worked out so well with you and I’m so proud of everything you’re putting into the coming year. Things will work out, and no matter what happens you will make the best of it :) Carolyn Hamburg- So basically I want your wardrobe because it is actually perfect. You are the sweetest girl on the face of this Earth and I can tell it’s a genuine sweetness, which will get you far in life. Ethan Stone- Wow sorry I was so awkward when we first met in person let’s forget about that. You’re the strangest, prettiest, nicest, good-hair-est, person I’ve ever met. You’re not only good at taking pictures, but let’s talk about how photogenic you are. Stay cool, boy. Hannah Bachmuth- Fancy seeing you here (maybe, did you even go to spring?). #typicalhbachmuthmove. It’s been nice being part of the loser crew as well as the three-hannah-keeter ROCKSTARS with you. Make good choices, stay in school, and slow down on the snapchat stories. Ian Roozrokh- You’re just perfect. Like actually so cute. All I want is to be your best friend. Ok that’s all. Ilana Hertz- S/o to you for being the homegirl and always liking my insta’s :). You’re also soo pretty and you and Noah are so cute together I want to puke. Jaime Gottlieb, Jordyn Miller, Mia Feldman,- It doesn’t feel right grouping you guys together because individually you are each amazing people, but what I’m really amazed by is your guys’ friendship! These are the friendships that make NFTY so incredibly special, and what make life in general so amazing. Jaime, even though you really want to go to KU, I can look past that as long as you visit me at Mizzou. Jordyn, you are actually so funny I’m always cracking up when I’m around you. Also can I please have your hair. Mia, don’t let the haters get you down girl, rock those mizzou sweats, all the way to columbia in a couple of years. See ya there ;) Josh Herman- I’m super glad we bonded over Hagrid at fall, because you’re probably my favorite person on this planet. You’re funny at the right times, serious when necessary, and know exactly what you want. The world is your oyster and I know you’re going to make the most of it. Sorry for the cheesiness but you’re just such a great person you deserve everything amazing. Also, you’re worth so much more than 4 points ;) Margo Hellman- Queen Marge, I think I like you so much because our personalities are so similar. You always know what you want, and you don’t let others stop you or get in your way. Your crowns are actually perfect and if I was a youngin’ I’d look up to you so much (is that bad?). Keep doing you next year, and even though you’re probably going to KU, we can stay friends and you can come visit me. Matt Frischer- Hey do you finally remember my name yet? Noah

Page 12: Senior wills

Clay- Remember when we became friends because we happened to sit next to each other flying out to JYG? To this day I don’t know whether I broke that tv or not, but at least I’m not prone to breaking plastic… You care so so much about NFTY, and trust me, it really shows through. It’s people like you that keep our organization alive and make people continue to come back. No matter where you end up next year, it will be for the best, and I know you will make the best of it. Even though we’re not good friends, I’m proud of all you’ve put into NFTY. Sarah Gertz- So you’re probably my favorite person. Your sass and wit and charm are just what get me through the day and through youth group events. This has been a rough year for you, but that just proved to me and everyone how strong and amazing you are, and that anything can happen and you’ll bounce back and be better than ever. Seriously, you are a fabulous person, and no matter where you go, your presence itself could change people’s lives. Please stay involved next year, even if it’s not to the extent that you were this year, because NFTY and TSYG could really use a person like you in their lifes. I officially will to you my MOVty’s Mama’s t-shirt. I got it from Maddie Cohen, and is supposed to be willed down to a junior girl in MV. It goes to someone who is a great friend and also has a sense of humor, and I couldn’t think of a better person to give it to than you. Please please please stay in touch next year and beyond.SophomoresAlex Izbiky- Wow look at you, actually showing up to a youthgroup event! WEIRD! Just kidding you know I love you <3. You just have soooo so much heart and soul and passion towards TSYG and NFTY and the jewish community as a whole. I can see you being president of NAB in a few years! I’m willing you down the beanie bear panda that I got from Caleb Schroder last year. He said to give it to someone who not only is a great friend, but gives great hugs, and you do just that. Spring last year, you were such a comfort to me and a great shoulder to lean on I couldn’t even begin to thank you. I love you to the moon and back! Emma Hope- Hey there abused daughter (just kidding but only kinda cause one time I accidentally slapped you or something oops) Congrats! You are the proud new owner of a stuffed dinosaur named HUMPHREY SAL! Last year Becca Cohen and I passed this dinosaur back and forth at events, and she willed it down for Alyson Yawitz and I do to the same thing. To keep the tradition, I’m willing this passing down to you and Alyson Yawitz. You’ve probably received Humphrey Sal (he must be called Humphrey Sal, not just Humphrey, I’ll explain why later) by now, so when we get back to Denver I’ll give you the rest of his clothing/ accessories! Anyways I’m so so so so proud of you and in love with you and your passion for NFTY and life and getting revenge on boys. You’re the best daughter I’ve ever had and I can’t imagine the past couple of years without you in it. Even though I’ve known you for forever as “the annoying younger sister” I can say without a doubt that I love you to death. Let your hair be free girl. Iliana Eber- Oh hayyyyy. I love love love love looooove you. These past two years on board have been a blast and a half with your presence and I’m so proud of everything you’ve done with the SA position and can’t wait to see what leadership you take on in the future! I’m so freaking proud of you I can’t even explain. Stay in my life even when I leave next year! Rachel Lehrman- Wow remember like 4 years ago when I was giving you boy advice at JYG and I thought you were so young and now here you are, the exact age that I was at that time. You’ve really come far in youth group and I couldn’t be happier. I will to you a shirt that I received from Andi Vicksman my sophomore year. It doesn’t really have a meaning, but is supposed to be passed down to a sophomore girl after doing something to alter it’s appearance. This year I added an iron on tiger paw patch (because Mizzou next year ya know), so now you’re free to do with it what you please. Cherish it like you cherish your time in NFTY. Time flies when you’re having fun. Sam Keller- Wait what? You showed up to an event? Jussss kidding you know I love ya. You’re the best CVVP a president could ever ask for! Your picture skills are impeccable and you’re probs the best minute taker I’ve ever met (but let’s table that for later). You’re so adorable and I’m sorry for spilling colored gel on your pants at board retreat but like… it came out so calm. FreshmenIan Tennant- I’m sooo glad you were on LDT this year because it allowed you to get even more involved in the youthgroup, which I can see you making a big difference in! Jacob Schwartzberg- I remember when you were the annoying little brother of one of my friends and now here you are, a HIGHSCHOOLER. Woooow. I’m so glad you’re so active in TSYG and NFTY and that we’ve become closer friends. Close enough to even talk to eachother on the bus (except now I have a car so…) Stay active in youth group and I can see you going far in the future! Jakob Rheins- I. Do. Not. Hate. You. I PROMISE! In fact to prove that to you, I’m willing you down a visor that says TSYG on it that I got from David Coons when he graduated. I feel like you deserve it because I can see you care so much about TSYG. Sophie Bonilla- Sorry I’m that obnoxious friend that’s always over at your house when your sister’s home. But anyways I’m glad you decided to do youthgroup too! TSYG values your time and commitment, please keep up with it! Ross Cohen- You are so much more than “Maddie Cohen’s little brother”. You’ve already made a name for yourself in NFTY and it’s just going to get better and better for you! GiantsDavid Coons, Becca Levine, Caleb Schroder, Zoe Bonilla, Maddie Cohen, Austin Dubinsky, Morissa Miller, Hannah Perry: As cheesy as it is, each of you are the reason I am where I am today. When you guys left, a little bit of my NFTY heart died, because you are what made NFTY fun for me. I’m so happy that you are all doing great things with your life now and I can’t wait to see what else you do! To Zoe, Morissa, and Austin: I can’t wait to spend the next few years with you guys at the ZOU! #tigerbffssssAdvisorsCarly Coons- Carl. I’m so sorry for kind of slacking off near the end of this semester, but I appreciate you being understanding about it and still loving me just as much. It’s not everyday you have an advisor that you connect so well with, but you managed to do that AND still be great behind the scenes. Temple Sinai really is lucky to have you.Beth Lipschutz- Remember when all you were to me was just my camp counselor? I feel like our relationship has come so far from that and I’m so glad we’ve gotten closer (especially because of Mizzou) and I’m so happy that you were my regional advisor for the past four years. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. PS. I expect to see you in CoMo next year JTSYG- You all are the light of my life. Even though events are mostly me embarrassing myself and other people making fun of me, I love no group of people more than I love each and every one of you. We have all grown so much, and I hope that you all continue this growth of our amazing organization and keep making it better than it currently is.

MISSOURI VALLEY – All of you mean so much to me. These past four years have been amazing

because of all of the people in this region. High school would not have been bearable without you.

Being able to escape and come see you all three times a year has been so indescribably fantastic. I

hope that all of you who get to continue here for the next year or three appreciate this time while it

lasts. I know that I’m going to live and die N-F-T-Y.

Freshman – I know I don’t really know you all that well. But I just want to pass on a little piece of

advice. Make the most out of your time here in NFTY. Reach out to everyone; make as many friends

as you can. This is such an amazing and supportive community, and the friends you make here are

the friends you’ll always be able to turn to. I hope you all love it here.

Kansas: BTTY Board – Thank you all so much for letting me be your president this past year. It’s

been a pleasure. You are all fantastic and I know you will all do great things in the coming years.

Daniel – I am so very glad that we became friends. You became like a big brother to me and I can’t

imagine these past four years in NFTY without you. Margo – Large Marge! I’m so proud of how far

you have come already. It’s been amazing seeing you grow into the strong leader you are today. I

know you are only going to get better and better and I look forward to hearing about all of your

accomplishments. Katie – I’m so glad that you moved to Beth Torah. I’ve loved getting to hang out,

cook, go to programs, and have school with you. I look forward to seeing where you go from here.

Ethan – Ethan dear, I’m not really sure where to start with you. It goes without saying that you are a

fantastic leader and you will do amazing things wherever you go. It always strikes me how unafraid

you are to go out and talk to new people. You impress me with your kindness. Ian – You always

brighten up my day. You are so funny and sweet. I love getting to watch all of the things you do on

the internet, and I know great things are going to come from it. Jenny – I’ve really enjoyed getting to

know you this year. I’m so glad you were in my physics class first semester. You are really nice and

fun to talk to. Lauren – You are just really funny. I always enjoy talking to you; it’s just such a fun

time. And don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about hanging out with you at KU next year.

Missouri: Ellie – I really wish we had become better friends before this year. You are such a cool

person and I really enjoy talking to you.

Colorado: Emma – I think you are a really cool and special person. I love spending time with you at

events and talking to you. I hope that everything in your life goes well for you. Sarah – You are such

a fun and amazing person. And a fantastic bed mate I might add. I really loved our late night

conversations and just hanging out with you. You are so fun and bubbly, and I can’t wait to see what

you do. Alissa – You were super fun to room with. The three of us could talk about anything, there

were no barriers. It was awesome, and so are you. Lilly – I really don’t know where to start. I’m so

glad I got to stay with you at winter our freshman year. And I’m so glad that lead to our friendship. I

always look forward to seeing you at events, and I can’t believe it’s our last. You are going to do

amazing things. Ali – I’m so happy we were roommates freshman year at our first LTI. I loved

becoming friends with you from that and just think you’re fantastic. I can’t wait to see where you go

from here. Connor – I’m really glad you had to caucus with BTTY at spring last year. That was the

first time I really talked to you, and I am so happy I did. You are a really funny and fantastic person.

I can’t wait to see what you do inside NFTY and outside of it. You’re going to be wonderful.

I know I am missing people, and I am SO SO sorry. If I forgot you, PLEASE contact me somehow

and I will write you a personal note saying how awesome you are and how much I love you.

Thank you for the past four years Missouri Valley, I love you all.

The Last Will and Testament of Zachary Jonathan Heiman

Missouri Valley: The words to describe my experience in Missouri Valley do not exist. The past four years have been filled with fun, love,

and a lot of tears, and I know there is more to come. For a lot of you, this is most likely goodbye, and I cannot thank you enough for the

experience and opportunity you have given me. Serving as your president this past year has really opened my eyes to the beauty of

Missouri Valley, and I am eternally grateful for the chance to do so. The following two pages is my attempt to thank each of you for all you

have contributed to my experience, but I know that this is not enough. I hope that some of our paths will cross in the future, but until then,

thank you so much, and I love you all from the bottom of my heart.

UHTYG: Lee Rosenberg: I know you hate this cheesy stuff, but I put you in here anyway. Thank you so much for everything. You have

always been here for me, and I can’t imagine my NFTY experience without you. You have always been my go to guy for everything and I

cannot thank you enough. Squirrel Kings (Alec, Corey, Gibby, Matt, Jerm, Paul): I hope that you guys continue to be involved in

NFTY, even if it means watching the Mizzou game in a temple bathroom stall. You guys make lounge nights hilarious, and I look forward

to spending the rest of the year with you Pauls. Mia and Jaime: It’s been a great three years together, and I hope you guys don’t take your

last year for granted. I still wish you guys would have run for regional board, but I know you will continue to stay involved. I’m gonna

need somebody to keep the guys out of trouble when I’m gone. I am willing you both down my coloring books and crayons. Please share

them fairly, and don’t do bad drawings, because I will come back and take them away. Junior Squirrel Kings (Jake, Josh, Jackson,

Ethan, Alex, Noah, Paul): You guys have so much ahead of you in NFTY, and I wish I was going to be there alongside you. Thank you

for making me feel cool by following me around and playing cards with me when I’m supposed to be “working.” I expect to see all of you

on Regional Board your senior years. Jennifer Heiman: Obviously, for you and me, this is not goodbye. Leaving you as the only Heiman

in NFTY is a burden that you better be ready to carry. The Heimans have dominated the social scene in Missouri Valley for centuries, and

you better not mess this up for us. I am so proud of you in everything that you do, and you already have more passion for NFTY than I did

my freshman year. I am willing you down the penguin pajamas that I received my sophomore year, because your passion for NFTY is so

strong. Keep the legacy alive and make me proud. I love you so much. Rebekah Poscover: I am so beyond excited that you are running for

Regional SPC. I know that regardless of the outcome of elections, you will continue to be a strong leader in Missouri Valley, and I am so

glad that you have continued to stay involved. I am willing you down the duck backpack that I received while running for Regional Board

GirlPaulz: Ben Colson: Do you remember when we met? Because I don’t. The last two or three or four years together have been pretty

great. I’ve had so much fun being on board with you for the past year, and am proud of all that you have accomplished. I can’t imagine

wreaking havoc in the Missouri Valley community with anyone else (except maybe Miller, from Convention). I know that this isn’t

goodbye forever, so I’ll see you on the flip side, Brett Joel Paul Ian Ethan Dad. Ali Oksner: I want to be you. You’re funny, your smile is

infectious, and you make me laugh so hard. You might be perfect. I am so honored to call you my friend. Thank you for teaching me how

to kiss properly (and also how to spell my name). Remember when you yelled at me about Blurred Lines in a restaurant in front of all of

our friends? THANKS. Keep in touch next year! Ilana Litvak: You literally kill me. Everything you do makes me laugh, and we’ve had

such an unbelievable time the past two years. If you and the rest of SPRIFTY hadn’t joined NFTY, I don’t know what I would have done

with myself. Thank you for being so much fun, but please stop sending me those weird mirror pictures every time you are having a good

hair day. You tryna peach me, lil’ mama? I love you! Raya Seidman: I feel like our friendship belongs on an episode of Days of Our

Lives (not that I’ve ever seen the show, it’s just the only soap opera I know). Thank you for giving me a lot of laughs and putting me in a

lot of uncomfortable situations. I love you so much, and wish you the best of luck at Indiana next year. Just do me a favor, and never forget

your favorite Heiman.

Regional Board: Beth: Words cannot describe how helpful you have been to me this year. I definitely could not have done it without you.

Thank you so much for being absolutely amazing, and I hope that you continue to be Missouri Valley’s Regional Director of Youth

Engagement forever. Hannah Wolf: I remember when Ethan introduced us when I was just a young lad, and we’ve been so close ever

since. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to work with you on Regional Board, and I know you’ll do amazing things next year at BU

and for the rest of your life. Taylor Gleeson: I have never met anybody in my entire life with a passion for Social Action quite like you. I

am so excited that you will be continuing your work as SAVP next year, and I know you’ll be phenomenal. I am willing you down my “I

can change myself, together we can change the world” T-shirt that I received last year, because your passion for helping others has inspired

me and the rest of Missouri Valley to make the world a better place. Ellie Pinto: You and I have been through so much together. I’m glad

you’ve always been there for me, from Passover seders, to group 8, to prom, to Regional Board. You are such an amazing friend, and I’m

sorry that I overslept that one time we got lunch together. Best of luck next year, and please keep in touch! Tyler Andreasson: YEEHAW!

I don’t know why I have yet to be invited to your farm, but it’s never too late to throw down and invite me. Thank you for an unforgettable

four years, and I’m glad to be able to call you one of my best friends in Missouri Valley. Thank you for always being there for me, and I’ve

loved having the opportunity to work with you this year. Ben Colson: (see GirlPaulz section). Ethan Stone: You are such a great, hilarious

guy. I’m sorry for always promising to stay up and help you with the slideshow and then always going to sleep. Thank you for working so

hard to make Missouri Valley a better place and I know you will continue to do great work for the region. Lilly Karsh-Lombardo: Every

time I see you, I want to give you a huge hug. You are so adorable and fun-loving and happy all the time. Thank you for coming into

everything with a positive attitude. I know that we have only been friends for a year or two, but it feels like we have been friends forever.

Amazing work this year as SPC and I am so proud to have had the opportunity to work with you!

St. Louis/Illinois: Alex Jacks: I miss the good old days when we used to hang out, so hit me up sometime this summer! Thanks for being

such a huge part of my four years in NFTY. Jacob Maier: Thank you for always being there for me and being such a great friend. I know

Page 15: Senior wills

you’re going to be AMAZING on NAB next year and I am both excited for and extremely jealous of you and the opportunity that you

have. I hope you make the best of it, and make Missouri Valley proud! Jordyn Miller: I am so excited that you decided to run for Regional

Board this year. You are an amazing leader and a great friend. I am so proud of the work you’ve done in SETYG, and am proud to have

had you in my network this year. Miranda Rubin: I am so proud of you and the rest of the songleaders for being on top of everything and

working to make Missouri Valley a better place. Keep up the great work as RCVP next year! Michelle Bennett: First, I am so jealous of

the amazing opportunity you’ve had this past semester to live in Israel. EIE is a program that I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m sure you’re

having a great time! Great work songleading this year and I am so excited to have you as a candidate for PVP. Sam Shabsin: I am so

excited to see the work you do next year for the region and I am so glad you decided to run for Regional Board. Make me proud! Alyson

Yawitz: You are one of the most adorable people I know and such a joy to be around. Thank you for helping to make my experience in

NFTY so positive and memorable. Rebecca Bloom: You are an amazing person, and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish in the rest of

your NFTY career. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Kelsey Culp: The work you have done for TIFTY this year is unbelievable. I am honored to

have had you in my network, and I know you will keep up the great work next year! Abby Manaster: I am so proud of the work you have

done with CUTY! You have really pushed the youth group in a positive direction, and I am so glad you guys are a part of Missouri Valley.

Kansas: Daniel Hakan: You were one of my first friends in MV, and I have loved spending the last few years with you. You are such a

cool guy and a great friend! Scott Altman (Prose): LOL! HEY DOOD. Remember when I stayed at your house for JYG with Michael

Worth and Paul Brown? Cause I don’t. You’re a cool guy and I’m glad we’re friends. Also, your beats are sick. Ian Roozrokh: You are

one of the funniest guys I know, and everything you do makes me smile. I’m so excited to see what you do for MV next year. Carolyn

Hamburg: JYG was amazing this year and we couldn’t have done it without you! I hope you continue to be such a strong leader in MV.

Jared Scrinopskie: I wish I’d had the opportunity to spend more time with you, because you’re a great guy and a lot of fun. I’m gonna

miss you, so keep in touch! Hannah Bachmuth: I wish I would have been able to see you at more events this year, because you crack me

up and always know how to have a good time. Keep in touch next year and PLEASE stay involved! Margo Hellman: Remember your

freshman year when you were mean to all of the UH girls and we hated you? Look at where we are now. I love you so much, and you are

such a fun-loving girl. I am so excited that you are running for Regional Board and can’t wait to see what you’re capable of! Mackenzie

Haun: Great work this year with BTTY! I am so impressed by all that you do, and am so glad we are friends.

Nebraska: Hannah Budwig: Confession: I didn’t know who you were until Israel. BUT, now that we have grown so close, I have come to

love you like we have known each other forever. Thank you for helping to make this experience so great, and I am so impressed with the

work you have done this year for OTYG. Maddie Jensen: Remember when Joel and Jordan introduced us and I thought it was a match

made in heaven? Now the thought of you is kind of repulsive. Just kidding. Kind of. I love you so much and the experience that you and I

have had the opportunity to share the past four years is one of a kind. You were one of my first NFTY friends, and I can’t imagine this

experience without you. Keep in touch next year! Abby Hack: I remember the first time I met you, I was so surprised that you were only a

freshman. You are so outgoing and confident, that even now, I can’t believe you’re only a sophomore. I hope that you get as involved as

possible in NFTY, and I won’t be surprised if I hear about you being NFTY North American President after your senior year! Maddie

Miller: Oh hey, remember when we hung out last summer? You should come in town this summer and hang out with me! You are so

sweet, and way cooler than your sister. Tanner Crable: You have done such great work with LTYG this year, and I can’t wait to hear

about what you do with your youth group next year. Keep me updated!

Colorado: Shelby Ginsburg: I love you so much. You are so sweet and great and amazing and awesome. You did great work with TSYG

and with Western Fall this year. I am sorry that Scott and I used to make fun of you, but feel free to return the favor anytime you want.

Keep in touch next year! Emily Kohn: Your passion for Missouri Valley and your TYG took me by surprise this year. You and Shelby did

great work together, and you both should be proud. I am so excited that you are continuing your journey in MV by running for Regional

Board, and I wish you the best of luck in all that you do! Madeline Hope: Remember when we met at Midwest Mash Up at GUCI? I used

to be so awkward… But anyway, I am so glad that we are such good friends, and thank you for helping to make my NFTY experience so

great! Emma Costain: You are such a strong leader and such a powerful individual. Your attitude is always positive, and I really admire

that. Josh Herman: Although we only became close recently, I feel like I’ve known you forever. You are such a funny guy, and I am glad

to have had the opportunity to meet you. Sara Rothman: It is rare that I meet somebody who is more passionate about NFTY than I am,

but you definitely fit that description. It was great getting to know you better at Kutz, and I wish you the best of luck with everything you

do next year. I am so excited that you are running for board, just please leave Victor alone. Noah Clay: You are so outgoing and hilarious,

and I am so jealous of that. I am so glad you decided to run for board, and I know that you will do amazing things next year. Sam

Gendelman: I am so jealous of how cool you are. When I was a sophomore I was such a loser. I probably still am. But it amazes me how

well you fit right in with all the senior guys, and we’re going to miss you a lot next year. I am willing down Lorenzo, the stuffed monkey to

you, because I think that you and Jack Glaser will be great parents together. I’ve always thought you guys would make a cute couple. Jack

Glaser: Parenting Lorenzo with you has been an honor. You are such a great guy, and I hope you stay involved next year! Sarah Keller:

You and I have the same sense of humor and I love it. Every time I see Amy Schumer on TV, I think of you (also I saw her live at the

beginning of April, so be jealous). I love you so much and am so glad we got close this year. Alissa Rosenblum: I wish I would have had

the opportunity to get to know you better, but I was so impressed with you work on Western Fall. I hope you continue to bring that hard-

working attitude wherever you go. Sarah Quiat: Getting to know you this year has been really great. You are so cute and such a great

friend. You did amazing work with BTY this year and you should really be proud. Natalie Wilson: I’ve missed you so much at the past

few events,, but I hope you return and get more involved next year. You are so cool/funny/awesome. Sophie Bonilla (SOBO), Cami

Oberfeld, Hallie Saliman, Julia Zimmerman, Rachel Lehrman: I am so glad that my sister has you group of girls as friends. You guys

are so cute, and I am jealous of the long time you still have left in NFTY. I hope you make the best of it, and you better stay out of trouble!

Page 16: Senior wills

Dear NFTY Missouri Valley,The hardest part of any friendship is when it is time to say goodbye, and even though I wished I could make you stay, I know I got to let you spread your wings and fly. For life is a journey that needs to be travelled and I am certain you'd make it through, I just want you to know and never forget that I will surely miss you. So follow your heart and never give up, as dreams and wishes do come true, for I know that someday we'll meet again, so never forget I will be praying for you. **find me for a personal “will” because i do not want to forget anyone**To Beth: You are my second mom.  I rely on you, like you have no idea. I tell you that I want to be you when I grow up, which is not a joke.  You are such an inspirational person with the wisest and most beautiful soul. Thank you for taking care of me and my home.  I will never forget you. I love you. To my regional board: I could have not done it without you.  Zach: You are so funny and bright, and can always bring me a smile and the best hug. Hannah: I love when you forget to take your AD meds, because I don't think I have ever vented or laughed that hard with a person that i barely know.  Taylor: You are the person who can change a single person or world. You want to meet Gandhi, when you don't even realize you are the next Gandhi, promise me that you will be safe and look after yourself sometimes before others. Tyler: I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet you, so friendly and so bubbly.  NFTY would not be the same without you.  Ben: I have known you for so long, you can always cheer me up with your optimism and unknown smile in pictures. Ellie: i can't believe HUC was that long ago when we first met.  Your passion for Judaism and life makes me want to live it more. Ethan: oh gosh, you are one of my best friends, i couldn't imagine snuggling with anyone else, and you telling your stories to others, but i know you are going to do such amazing things in NFTY and in life, and i can’t wait for you to tell me about them.  Just like you will never forget my name, i will never forget you because you are in my heart forever. To Seniors: we did it, we have come this far. I can't believe some of you were my first friends (Shelby, Alissa, Mackenzie, Leah, and more) whether we just met this year (Jacob, Ben r.) or we have known each other since the beginning (Ali, Daniel). My NFTY experience would have not been the same if it weren't for you. You have shaped me seniors, LOVE YOU. To Juniors: I love y’all, many of you are i consider some of my best friends.  I have known some of you since the beginning.  I “will” down to y’all to make it the best and last year that you can have. You already know that the events go by so quickly, and to never take it for granted. Put aside the drama, and be there for you and your second family.  Class of 2015, you are the greatest class because I don't think any class has ever made me cry that much and given me so many cramps from laughing. To Sophomores: I consider y’all my babies.  Please just keep laughing, smiling and looking out for the younger classes. It’s never too late to make more or new friends.  It’s the year you figure it out and learn that NFTY is home that it is never too far away, but farther than one hopes. These people will never leave your life and I hope you never leave theirs. I do not want to leave you, but I know y’all will make it through and can solve some of the hardest problems from your friends you’ve made at NFTY. To Freshman: Your class is the kind of best crazy out there. You have so much energy than I have seen from anyone.  I want to “will” to you to step out of your comfort zone in NFTY

Page 17: Senior wills

especially and say hi to the person not from your state, because what you will find is that they are your soul mate. If you have found your soul mate and reached out, you are much better than I was freshman year.  I hope you find out soon, if not already, NFTY is a home that can give such greatness like no other.  Keep up that energy through the rest of life and especially in NFTY, because nothing is judged in NFTY. To BTY: Y’all are the most accepting place on earth.  You took me in when I needed it and I have been there with y’all through thick and thin.  I have made some of my best friends here. It will adapt and change, but you are you because of how accepting you are to others and their ideas.  Never change too much and just refer to the roots.  Y’all are the BOOTY, you are the best and there is no other. You Jews have shaped me, i love you. To my family: Mom: You are my mom and I love you.  Thank you for supporting me in everything I do and signing me up for NFTY and not BBYO.  You pushed me at first, but now I’m done pushing you to go out a day early to see my friends. I could not ask for a more amazing and supporting best friend and mom. Eli and Emerson: You are such an amazing representative for what NFTY stands for.  Never let your weirdness decrease, and don't let my path effect yours. I will always be there for you. You two make NFTY and BTY so special with your passion for life.  Sarah: i don't even know where to begin and this is brief, I’m so glad you joined NFTY and BTY. You are my best friend. We have been through thick and thin, and face and belly cramps from crying and laughing. I don't think i could ever imagine my life without you, you make me a stronger and better person.  We may be apart but, when we come together we annoy the crap out of everyone, but we don't care. I love how we don't care who judges and we can talk about the same thing over and over without getting bored. I love you with all my heart, never change, and i know we will never leave each other because we are one heart.  **find me for a personal “will” because i do not want to forget anyone**I LOVE YOU NFTY, DON'T EVER CHANGE OR FORGET WHY YOU ARE SO GREAT AND THE GREAT PEOPLE IN IT. KEEP SINGING/DANCING WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND PASSING THOSE KISSES ROUND!!

Sarah Keller’s Senior Will

For the past five years, NFTY has played a huge role in my life and helped shape me into the person I am today. I cannot

imagine where I would be without the supportive and empowering kehilah kedosha we have created here in MoValley.

Thank you to my NFTY giants Sarah Korn, Joey Gurrentz, David Coons, Andi Vicksman, Rebecca Schwartzberg, Zoe Bonilla,

Caleb Schroeder, and Maddie Cohen for introducing me to NFTY and showing me how meaningful a weekend with a

bunch of Jews can be.

Amanda Birger: The fact that I did not actually get to see you at Spring is still thoroughly upsetting, but I have

full confidence that we will keep in touch in the future. You are an incredibly confident and talented person. Getting to

know you and spending time with you at JYG was actually the best. Because of how you embody the spirit and passion

of songleading, I am willing you the NFTY-MV Songleader necklace. I have worn this necklace to every NFTY event since I

received it my sophomore year from David Coons. Alter it in whatever way you see fit. May it always remind you of the

gifts you have and the power that music has to bring people together. I wish for you only the very best in NFTY and

beyond.

Iliana Eber: For as long as I have known you, you have always been exceptionally bright and driven. Watching

you grow as a leader within TSYG the past two years has shown me just how wildly capable you are of achieving

whatever you put your mind to. As a sophomore who shows so much leadership potential and dedication to TSYG and

NFTY, I am willing you the TSYG leadership rubber duck which was willed down to me from Andi Vicksman.

Ellie Pinto: Oh girl, where do I begin? Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Heya heya heya hey? It seems

so unreal to me that we’ve only been friends for a year because I feel like I’ve known you forever. I can honestly say that

you are one of my closest friends, despite the fact that we live two states apart. From our late-night heart-to-hearts to

our general insanity, my times with you at NFTY events are often if not always my favorite moments. Your shining spirit,

amazing sense of humor, and incredible confidence only begin the long list of things that make you one of the most

beautiful people that I have ever had the privilege of calling my friend. Thank you for all of the advice, laughs, love, hugs,

and most of all, thank you for being the exceptional person that you are. Hamilton College is lucky to have someone as

exceptional as you next year, and I know you have a bright future ahead of you! Just promise to keep in touch, or risk

becoming the LITERAL WORST!! Love you all ways, always <3.

Lilly Karsh: From Shwayder to NFTY to IST, we have shared so many memories, and who better to share them

with than you? From being a counselor at Camp Rainbow to helping a sick cabin mate, you have the biggest heart out of

anyone I have ever known. Your capacity to care for others never ceases to amaze me and inspires me to be more

patient and loving to all of those in my life as well. Thank you for always being such an amazing and supportive friend

that I can always count on for a great time or someone to just vent to. Speaking of, I don’t think any moment could

possibly compare to our completely ridiculous vent session to “Bad Reputation” during SIT. The fact that I have a friend

who is not only as compassionate as you are, but that you’re crazy enough to have shared that moment with me means

the world. Thank you for being such a stellar friend, and I cannot wait for Shwayder with you this summer and for all of

the other future memories we will create together.

Sarah Quiat: Again, I can’t believe I have only known you for a year! When we met at Spring last year we

became friends in a second. I actually don’t know if I’ve ever gotten so close to someone so fast. You’re such a genuine

person and your smile is contagious. You never fail to make me laugh and your incredible intellect makes you an even

more engaging and well-rounded person. Not to mention that the work you have done as BTY’s President is remarkable.

I know we had some troubles, but despite everything, I feel like we have gotten so close over the past year. From

sharing our life stories over a box of Cheez-itz in Poland to the general ridiculousness of LTI with Lilly, I will always cherish

the times we have spent together. Thank you for everything my dear, and may your drive, leadership skills, and all-

around awesomeness take you wherever you wish to go.

Co-Songleaders: Before you get upset, I’m also writing to each of you separately, I just had some things to say

to the both of you. Ladies, I cannot begin to tell you how amazing the two of you are. Both of you are ridiculously

talented musicians and leaders and I could not have asked for better cos!! As soon as we were all together we just fell

into a rhythm as if we had been working together for ages. Thank you both for making my experience as one of NFTY-

Page 19: Senior wills

MV’s songleaders such an unforgettable one. You will always be my adopted sisters, just like we were for our first Shira,

and I love you more than words.

Miranda Rubin: We met at Spring last year, and I remember how excited I was when we were officially going to

be cos this year, because I loved you already. People like you are like the goldfish we successfully caught while tossing

them to each other at LTI – few and far between. I ended up spending the vast majority of my time at NFTY this year

with you and Michelle, and I honestly wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. You are an incredibly strong leader and

NFTY-MV is so lucky they get to have you for another year! I have always admired the amount of work you put into

everything you do. You are so completely dedicated, but still manage to enjoy yourself and have fun with it. And of

course, your general sass makes you a keeper. But then again, we have that whole bad-taste-in-TV-shows business, so,

yikes ;). But despite that issue, you have always been someone that I can count on for anything, whether it is related to

songleading or not. Thank you for being such a spectacular friend, I cannot wait to see how much you accomplish over

the next year.

Michelle Bennett: “So far away from me, so far, I just can’t see…. So far away from me, you’re so far away from

me.” That’s a song, I promise, I just can’t remember what it’s called or who it’s by. Hopefully you ‘ll know it somehow.

But anyway. I can so clearly remember your face from LTI when Miranda and I were so excited to see each other, and

you looked so freaked out and overwhelmed, which is so funny because we were friends about 5 minutes later. You

really are an amazing individual. And not just because you appreciate Doctor Who for the masterpiece of a show that it

is (Miranda). One thing that makes you so special is that you just are who you are, and you don’t have to make a big deal

about it. You’re hysterical and can make some of the most absurd faces I think I have ever seen, and I had the greatest

time with you at Fall. I hope that you are having the time of your life in Israel and that we can find a way to catch up

once you get back before I leave for college!!

Ethan Stone: I remember at Spring last year everyone was talking about this kid Ethan. My brother kept talking

about him too, and I remember feeling so completely out of touch because I had no idea who this he was. Turns out, it

was you. But more importantly, I remember reading the message you sent me about my audition video, and I cannot tell

you how much that meant to me. I felt a little lost coming into senior year after only attending one event the year

before, but you made me feel so welcome and reminded me of why I fell in love with NFTY in the first place. As a person,

I think you truly embody the spirit of NFTY. Your kindness, positivity, and willingness to accept anyone – no matter what

their differences are – are qualities that not only make you a role model for everyone in NFTY, but for everyone

everywhere. If more people were like you, the world would be a much safer, peaceful, and happy place.

Sam Keller: My little Sammy, I can’t believe how grown-up you are. My apologies if I embarrass you with this,

but I really can’t wrap my head around how old you are. In fact, I think mom and dad are coping with it better than I am.

But along with my disbelief comes and incredible sense of pride for how far you have come and how much you have

accomplished. You have shown a self-awareness beyond your years and I truly admire that about you. Your confidence

and growth as an individual and as a leader over just this past year is so impressive. I am so happy that you have found

such strong communities both in NFTY and in theatre at Creek. I am forever thankful that we are so close – I know so

many people who just can’t get along with their siblings. But you have always been a best friend to me, and I can’t

imagine what it will be like living so far away from you next year. May you continue to follow your passions wherever

they may take you. You are such an unbelievably smart young man, you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to

it and work hard. I hope that your future in NFTY brings you life-long friendships and meaningful experiences that will

help you succeed wherever life takes you. Believe in yourself and I know you will go far. I love you so to the ends of the

Earth.

Songleaders of MoValley: You all rock! The amount of potential and excitement for songleading that all of you

have shown this year warms my heart. Keep it up, and never lose your love for music, inside or outside of NFTY .

Members of MoValley: I would like to thank you all for making NFTY a part of your lives. Each one of you brings

something special to our MV family. To you I will the courage to always be your true self, the knowledge that every

person has the power to make a difference, and the power of an open mind in the face of any challenges, intolerance, or

differences you may face in life.

NFTY Giants

Hannah Perry, Remember when I followed you around convention? Then somehow you became friends

with me, the kid who didn’t really know anyone. You are a huge inspiration to me. Whenever we would

facetime you would always make me laugh and your intelligence amazes me even more. I wouldn’t be

surprised if you become the next president. Love you Hannah. Alyssa Guller, OMG ALYSSA?!?!? YOU

ARE READING MY SENIOR WILL?!? OMG WHEN DID YOU GET HERE?!? Alyssa, you were one of

the two people I knew at my first event. You made me feel so welcomed and cannot thank you enough

for everything that you have done for me. Sydney Fontaine, Where to begin with you Sydney. I would

not be here without you, it’s as simple as that. I would have never been president of CERTY/CRFTY, I

would have never run for regional board, I would have never gone to kutz, and I would NEVER EVER

have been North American Communications Vice President. You are the funniest person I know (maybe)

and I cannot thank you enough.

Seniors

Shelby Ginsburg, remember when you came up to me during Winter and asked me if I was going to

Convention and that we had the same offsite? That was the start of our amazing friendship. Shelby, the

impact you have made on my life is catastrophic. Along with helping me through spring, you were always

there for me. Our countless skypes and facetimes had us laughing, crying, and playing with your cat. I

always know you will be there for me no matter where I go. Zach Heiman, Paul, At the start of LTI you

were the only person I knew. Thank you so much for not getting completely annoyed at me for following

you around constantly and making you introduce me to people. I cannot thank you enough. I hope some

day you will have some cake (cake cake cake cake). Scotty Altman, PROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!

You are one of the funniest people I have ever met. Keep doing you man. Ben Colson, Paul, I am so

glad we became friends man. Since LTI we have laughed so hard. From swag-swag like Caillou to

crystallized strands with Kyle we have shown each other so many hilarious things. Keep showing me

funny things man. Sarah Keller, SAR-RAH! I am so so so so glad we became friends at western fall.

You are hilarious and your voice is like an angel. But seriously, we need to go practice for Siyyum.

Tyler Andreasson, you always have a great attitude towards life and you are always positive. I think it is

time to retire the shoes though. Hannah Budwig, you are an inspiration to all. Your kindness and sense

of humor is something I envy. I know you will do amazing things in your life, I have no doubt about it.

Ellie Pinto, ELLIE!!!!!! You are the nicest person I have ever met. Never will you put someone down or

talk bad about people. I am so glad you went to some of Kutz because that is where we really became

close. You are an inspiration to me, and all young leaders of Missouri Valley. Ali Oksner, ALI! You are

always smiling. Your smile can make anyone’s day better instantly. The first time I met you the only thing

I could think of is how nice you were. Your leadership and take-action attitude is truly inspiring. I

honestly strive to be like you every day. Daniel Hakan, You were the first person I shared a bed with at a

NFTY event ever. You are so nice and I can always count on you.

Hannah Wolf, Hannah, ever since SLIID Fall 2012, I have strived to be like you. You were someone I

always looked up too. Your humor is the funniest thing ever and I wish you luck as you continue your

journey. Raya Seidman, RAYA! Remember at LTI when you, Ilana, I were dancing together because we

had no one else? I specifically remembers something you said from the moment, “Good thing he thinks

we’re funny because no one else does.” At that moment I knew we were going to be great friends. Ilana

Litvak, your positive attitude and sense of humor is amazing. The fact that you and Raya would take a

chance and grow your youth group is so inspiring. I know that you will go far in your life. Jordy Bartell,

Although we only met and hung out at winter, you are hilarious and I wish you would’ve come to NFTY

earlier! Hannah Sorkin, HAN-NAH, not HAMMY, HANNAH. You are so so so so so so funny. You are so

inspirational and I am so glad you took as chance with and joined NFTY. I know you will have so much

fun in Africa!!!!! Lilly Karsh-Lombardo, LILLY! Your passion for Camp Rainbow and overall kindness is

amazing and I am so glad I can call you one of my best friends. Gili Berman, GILI! I’m SO glad you did

Page 21: Senior wills

NFTY. CRFTY not would not be the same without your energy, amazing ideas, and awesome positive

attitude!!!! Sarah Quiat, If I had to give an award to who gives the best hugs in ALL OF NFTY, I would

have to give the award to you!! You are an amazing human being. You are so kind and so so so so

funny. You will be successful at whatever you do. I’m 100% sure

Juniors

Hannah Bachmuth, where would I be without you. We have been through EVERYTHING. You are one

of best people I’ve ever met in NFTY and I honestly cannot imagine my life without you. I know next year

will be hard without Shelby and I but just know you are an amazing leader that is loved by a lot of

amazing people. Love you @hanleahb, or should I say #totalhbachmuthmove. Natalie Wilson, I’m so

glad we hung out during Western Fall. You are one of THE FUNNIEST people I have ever met. You are

ridiculously pretty and a good person overall. I hope you and Hannah go to every event next year ;).

Jordyn Miller, you were one of the first people I remember welcoming me into NFTY while also thinking I

was somewhat funny (weird). You are an inspiring leader who will do AMAZING things in life, I have no

doubt in my mind. Jaime Gottlieb, you are so hilarious. I love love love how you started calling me by my

whole name and it stuck. You are so thoughtful, kind, and a fantastic person overall! Mia Feldman, your

leadership is amazing. The way you lead programs and lead discussions is inspiring. Also, you are a

hilarious person in general. Your sense of humor cracks me up every time. Margo Hellman, Remember

when we sat in that pizza place together at winter 2013 and you told me to send you those embarrasing

pics of Mia that you took on my phone? The second you took those pictures on my phone I knew that I

somehow had to become best friends with this super cool person. Marge, you inspire me more and more

every time I am with you. Your leadership is immense and you are one of the most welcoming people I

have met. You will do great things in NFTY and in life in general. Michelle Bennett, you are one of the

funniest people I have EVER met. Your faces crack me up and I’m so glad we became friends. I hope

you are having an AMAZING time on EIE. Ethan Stone, you are so inspiring. Your advocacy for

everything is amazing. I know you will do great things in the future because you are an amazing person.

Ian Roozrokh, Queen, you are an awesome person and I cannot wait to work with you next year in my

network. You are going to do great things for the region. Molly Thal, If I’m writing this will, and you’re

reading this will, THEN WHO’S FLYING THE PLANE!?!??!! Sterling Waldman, you are the most

inspiring person ever. Your passion for gender equality and LGBTQ rights inspires everyone around you.

Keep fighting for what you believe in.

Advisors

Nicole & Andrew, you are the reasons I am here today. I cannot thank you enough for dealing with us

for two years. You are brave for jumping into the depths of NFTY and you are fast learners. Rabbi

Randy, Thank you for everything you have done for CRFTY. None of this would be possible without you.

Stephanie Rhea, Thank you for being there for me when I didn’t know what to do. You were there for me

in the beginning as my step-advisor and I cannot thank you enough. You’re an inspiration to all and you

are amazing at your job. Beth Lipschutz, Remember when I was scared to talk to you? I am so glad that

I worked up the courage to talk to you at convention about Kutz. If wouldn’t have done that, who knows

where I would be right now. Beth, you have helped me so much along my NFTY journey and I cannot

thank you enough

Page 22: Senior wills

The Senior Will of Ali Oksner

The conclusion of my twentieth event is upon us – us being you (all those with whom I racked

up them NFTY points ;) or people who I consider family or maybe someone I’ve never formally met) and

me. We’re sharing a pretty wonderful/horrible moment.

Somehow, in seventh grade, I joined this organization built to foster community through mixers

and nametags and emotional programming. (I still think it’s pretty much a religious breeding ground. I

mean look at all these nice, Jewish, prospective spouses we’ve met.)

“Do you think you’ll marry a Jew?” teen Jews love to ask each other. We eat a lot of bagels.

Each time an event ends, we say withdrawal and it scares me. I’m afraid some of us only allow

one community to be home. We love the idea that we’re different. What we do here is certainly

exceptional and so we assume peers at home must not understand.

“I can be myself here,” we say, all sporting the same lovely, penguin-spangled t-shirts.

But you’re yourself everywhere. This self, your strong and comfortable and vibrant NFTY self

can be brought home. Everything you’ve learned can be taught. That’s what this is really about: take

NFTY, take kehilah kedosha, take that feeling as somebody kisses your cheek in the friendship circle.

And pass it. So thank you, Missouri Valley, for passing me this twenty event long kiss. Thank you for

showing me the fulfillment that can come from being an active teen Jew. You’re all pretty cool.

Now for the specifics AND I AM SO SORRY IF I DO NOT DIRECTLY ADDRESS YOU (Not that I’m

cool enough that you would even care/notice, you know?) Also, this is more of a list of shoutouts than

a will so I’m sorry I didn’t really stick with the schtick.

Seniors

Hannah Wolf Our friendship has definitely evolved over the years and I’m so thankful we’ve

experienced this crazy thing together. You’ve made this experience for me and I miss you. You were my

first Red Rocks buddy and I never had a crush on either of your brothers. Thanks. Lilly Karsh-Lombardo

You are a beautiful rockstar and you wear overalls so well. Please imagine me eating ketchup straight

from the bottle. You’re going to change the world. Alissa Rosenblum We might go to the same college

(oh em gee wow college). You were one of the first people I met in Colorado and one of the original

FCTYGers of our class and I’m so glad we’ve done this together. You are an empowered and motivated

individual (the most influential kind) and I cannot wait to see what you do. Maddie Jensen Oh Maddie,

Maddiemaddiemaddie. You’ve left a trail of broken hearts in this region and I really admire that/you.

Daniel Hakan You have such a wonderful presence and give great hugs. Hannah Budwig You are so

hilarious because you perfectly express the plight of a typical, female, Jewish girl. We’ve been doing this

together for so long and you mean so much to this community, especially me. Thank you. Shelby

Ginsburg I’m still sad/mad you left East but glad you found a better-suited place to spend high school.

You are pretty funny and I’m sorry that Evan Segal and Scotty and I cyberbullied you on Skype by

calling you Craig. I don’t even know where that came from. But seriously, you are one of the best

NFTYites I know and I’m so so glad we got to do this together. You are a hero. Jacob Maier My

Network Partner, I’m sorry we never brainstormed Prez plans. But I do so appreciate your love of Lil B

#basedfam Makenzie Haun You and Hannah Wolf made it obvious from that first LTI that this was

Page 23: Senior wills

going to be special. I feel so lucky to have known you for so long. Your presence makes every event

better, more positive. Just better. Thanks. Ellie Pinto You are probably the single sweetest girl I’ve ever

met. You have this purity in your interactions with everyone you meet. Maybe the right word is integrity.

I don’t know but you’re great. Ilana Litvak It’s so crazy how you popped into NFTY and made

everything better. The fact that you have become an active part of my daily life is really freaking cool.

You are gorgeous, by the way, and everyone & their mother has a crush on you. I love your personality

even more. #girlpaulzforever Speaking of which, Raya Siedman, you know we’re soulmates. But I don’t

think you realized you transformed this region. And you’re too hot to even make sense of it. (HEY

JASON DERULO, I FOUND A BOOTY THAT NEEDS EXPLAINING.) You are the type of woman who is so

independently secure/radiantly kind that people gravitate toward you. People just want to talk to you,

maybe be your friend. I feel so lucky to have gotten to do that/find my long lost sister. Love you so

unbelievably much, my Ray(a) of sunshine. ZachBrettPaulDad Heiman I admire you so much. You are

hilarious and endearing and genuis and hot and please kiss me. Obviously this region appreciates

you/everything you’ve done this year (maybe too even too much cuz your head is huge) but I like to

think I’m your number one fan. We’re going to be friends for a very long time. Shoutout to Joel for

introducing us over Skype and for always sharing your interests ;) YOU ARE MY NFTY. Thank you for

everything. Benji Colson We can never really explain our friendship. I don’t even truly understand it

myself. I think you’re an absolute idiot and I love you so completely. HEY EVERYONE, WE’RE NOT

DATING. From our freshman lug days to New York to that warehouse party to pineapple in a tree to

your rainbow bed to Mojo/Pogo talk to the OC to Nelson to just being really funny in group messages

to Red Rocks a bunch, I don’t even know. None of that is enough. WE ARE NOT DATING. I will miss you

like crazy, despite my enduring hatred for you. You have six yarmulkes in your glove compartment. You

bicker with my parents. You are the worst. I love you, Baby Benji. SO so so much. Jordy Bartell

Welcome to the Missouri Hill Conclave. We’re glad you joined us – better late than never. Thanks for

keeping my secrets and for being good looking. Scotty Altman It’s a miracle you even spoke to my

seventh grade self at JYG – pink hair, braces, terrible personality. I thought you had nice arms and we’ve

been friends ever since. Thanks for being a good person. You’re an amusing Internet presence and a

talented musician and I think you’ll be a pretty successful person. And you’re terrible with girls and you

should work on that, even though I’ve showered you with good advice. Anyway, I think we basically get

each other. I feel pretty lucky to have what we’ve had over the past six years. (Special thanks to Skype.)

I’m going to miss you. Thanks for everything. Gabe Fine HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAN!

Juniors

Madeline Clark* You know me in all my most annoying forms. You have this ability to understand me

really deeply and then judge me and let me know you’re judging me and still make me want to divulge

all my secrets/earn your approval. I think that’s called power. Anyway, I look up to you like crazy. Your

neurotic habits are so endearing. It’s like you are fashionably vulnerable. I just really feel lucky to know

you and have you and stalk with you. I JUST LOVE YOU A LOT and I’m not expressing it well but I hope

you know how much I appreciate you. FCTYG is forever indebted to you, especially me though. You’re a

rockstar, the recent Justin Bieber type. (Bad in all the right ways.) I will you the cozy black sweatshirt

that Ethan Black willed to me. It is the comfiest thing in the world and from some cool New Mexican.

Wear it in good health, preferably peeing in a public restroom. Annabel Cat Oh, youuuu slippy lil thing.

Page 24: Senior wills

Jack Glaser You’re one of those people with whom I feel proud to associate. You are impressively

approachable/pretentious/hilarious/intelligent. I really love you, especially for teaching me the word

“haberdashery.” Madelyn Tennenbaum You are gorgeous and smart and honest. I have a big girl crush

on you and expect you to keep sporting turtlenecks to NFTY events and beyond. Jeremy Levy/Alec

Something/Cory Something/All Squirrel Kings Jeremy, I don’t really know you but Raya and I stayed

at your house once and I think you’re pretty cool. Alec, you are freaking hilarious and kind of mean but

so fun to be around. You’re going to go far, kiddo. Cory, I’m sorry all your friends abuse you. I think

you’re a lot of fun. All of you guys/guys like you, you are what makes NFTY so cool. Keep on doing yo

thang. Matt Frischer You’re one of my closest friends, which is crazy because we have spent a total of

about three weekends in the same city (at least since we’ve known the other existed). It doesn’t matter

who approached whom at LTI; what matters is that I learned a lot from talking to you and that it’s been

so fun getting to know you through our shared love of student journalism. Anyway, you know I’m a

huge fan of yours. Please visit DC early and often. Emily Kohn I don’t think you realize how much

people in this region absolutely adore you. You exude this honest interest in everyone you meet. Each

person who talks to you gets the impression that you care, that what they say matters. That is so rare.

You are so awesome. #migrainesforlife #onefortheroad? #thatguyatconventionstolemyicecream Margo

Hellman You are scarily hilarious. And fearless. And that makes you someone I seriously admire. Jordyn

Miller Donk, your level of coolness matches your niceness of booty. Jaimie Gottlieb GIRLS NIGHT! was

such a great success. Thanks for your vine expertise. Eada Gendelman You are intimidatingly beautiful

and insanely cool. You were gorgeous in seventh grade and that’s an accomplishment in and of itself.

Josh Herman You are a Jewish old woman. And you love NFTY in such a lovely way. I am so glad I got

to experience board with you and experience your hilarity. Noah Clay Thanks for favoriting all my

tweets. You are a pretty cool kid. Ethan Stone Your photos this year have made this experience better.

Keep up the good work. Ian Roozrokh You are a NFTY-MV celebrity. And for good reason. You are

such a genuine person and I’ve loved getting to be part of this region with you in it. Emma Costain

You are strong. You are beautiful. You deserve to be happy. I’m glad I got to know you, PVP. Taylor

Gleeson I’ve loved watching you mature as a leader this year. Missouri Valley has so benefitted from

you. You rock. Carolyn Hamburg You are gorgeous and sweet and I am so glad I met you. Sarah Gertz

Sarah, you are insanely fit and so kind. You’re a good one. Raina Morse You have such a sweet voice

and friendly presence. I’m so glad you joined FCTYG.

Sophomores

Baby Sammy Gendelman* I am such a big fan of yours. You know that. I’m so so glad we’ve become

friends this year, especially Snapchat BFFs. You are wildly successful with the ladies and it’s because you

are such a great guy. Thanks for being my friend/a big fat dumby. I’m willing you a fugly fur coat that

Sara Mischa Kregstein willed down to me. It is reserved for a “Sophomore Who Spices Up NFTY” and I

think that description fits you perfectly. You are one sassy lil fool. I’ll miss you. Colter Weil You may or

may not read this but you are an amazing person and my favorite first cousin.

Freshmen

Jennifer Heiman You are the best Heiman. Tell Joel and Zach to bow down because everyone loves you

the best. You rock. Squirrels You are my favorites. It’s people like you that make me sure NFTY will

continue to thrive. Stay cool. Especially you, Jake Flom ;) Paul* I will never paulget you.

such a cool, bearded, rock-loving weirdo. Dougie I <3 SNACKS! Jason You came into a pretty funky

community and handled it well. Keep up the good work. You’re part of something awesome. Matt I give

you a lot of grief but I think you’re pretty cool. #krushedit

Giants

Mischa You got me into this. You made me love this weird thing and I owe you big time. Campbell

You know how it is. You are a weirdo but you introduced me to NFTY when you played my creepy

murderer older brother in Halloween Dreams. So thanks. Nicolette Hi. Timmy Fine I will always luv u.

Ian Staples You’re one of my favorite people and the best office supply store around. #prom2013forlyfe

Ethan Black U r a kewl dood.

Zoë Kislowitz

Thank you for taking me under your wing at my first event, letting Hannah and me call you Mama. You

made NFTY better and, more importantly, changed the world. I am constantly inspired by you. We miss

you.

Page 26: Senior wills

The Last Will and Testament of the NFTY career of Elizabeth Ariella Pinto Beth Lipschutz: To my second mother-thank you so much for all you’ve done for me. You’ve been there to listen and give advice for the widest

range of situations. I greatly value our relationship and will miss you so much. Working with you has been an absolute blast. Thanks for making me a

better leader and person. Regional Board: Zach: Hey second brother! You’re a great leader and a better person. I’m so happy I’ve gotten to grow up

with you and grateful we’ve gotten closer through NFTY and Regbo. I’ll never forget the years of Passover and family get togethers, and especially

NFTY in Israel and all of our other NFTY adventures. You’ve been there for it all, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ll miss you bunches. Keep in

touch! Hannah: I knew who you were before we ever met, but I’m glad we finally did at Winter 2012.. We’ve come a long ways since then! I’ve

loved bonding, sharing stories, and working with you, especially over this past year, and I’ll miss you next year! We’ll have to visit each other since

we’ll be on the same coast! Much love girlie. Taylor: Girl, you rock. A year ago, I didn’t know you at all, but all it took was board retreat. From

picking you up from the airport last June, through Kutz, and this whole year, I’ve loved bonding and watching your passion for Social Action guide

you through many successful programs. I know you’ll have another awesome year on board. Keep it up and reach for the stars! Tyler: You were one

of my first friends in NFTY. I still remember meeting you on the bus to SLIID Fall freshman year, and I could already tell you were kind, funny, smart,

and all around awesome. I’m so glad we’ve only become closer, and I’ve loved being in NFTY with you. I’ll miss you soooo much but I know you’ll do

amazing things. Keep in touch, and don’t forget me when you’re busing ruling the farming world. Ben: Oh my, we’ve come so far. This time last

year, I barely knew who you were. I can’t explain how happy I am that I’ve gotten to know you this year. All of our conversations make me smile.

You’re hilarious, but kind. You’re a goof, but deeper than that. I’ll never forget my birthday this year - you made it one to remember. The

Vermonster was the best idea ever, and I cherish that car ride and discussing music and life. You’re cool and passionate, and I’m so glad you came

into my life before leaving NFTY. Keep in touch, and stay you. I love you more than you know. Ethan: You’re a really special soul. I mean that. I’ve

never met anyone like you, and it’s your unique traits that make you the wonderful person you are. Your passion, enthusiasm, wit, and insight

prove to me that you will make a wonderful leader and person in general and that you have amazing things ahead of you. Don’t let us lose touch. I

can’t wait to see what you become. <3 Lilly: You’re so unique in the best way possible. You’re obsession with CR and love and excitement in

everything you do makes you who you are. You never fail to make me smile and feel warm inside and I’ve absolutely adored working with you this

year. I’m so glad we met at MWM and became friends at HUC. I’ll miss you to the moon and back - you better keep in touch <3 Seniors: Scott

Altman: You’ve got talent dude. I love hearing your musical creations and talking to you about random things. Your personality lifts my spirits, and

I’m so glad we’ve bonded over the years. I’ll miss you! Don’t forget me when you’re a famous rapper! Hannah Budwig: We traveled to and through

Israel together and it was awesome. I’m so glad that happened and we roomed together at LTI 2012. You’re awesome and I’m so happy I’ve gotten

to know you! Daniel Hakan: Meeting you was a good move on fate’s part. You are one of the sweetest and all-around best people I know. Keep it

up - it has, and will, take you far. I’ll never forget Universal with you, and Kutz was an extreme blast. I’m so so happy we got to bond over the years

and last summer, and I’ll miss you so much. Sarah Keller: Talk about fast bonding. Even though we’ve known each other since MWM, housing with

you last Spring and especially at Western took care of all personal boundaries. I can tell you anything and love hearing your take on things. As long

as we keep updating each other, I’ll keep my sanity. Love you to the moon and back <3 Ilana Litvak, Eugenie Melamed, and Raya Seidman: My

Springfield ladies! I’m so glad I met you and was so happy you came to SASSI with SETYG last year! You’re the cutest, most bubbly people and I’ve

loved getting to know you. I love you 3 so much! Jacob Maier: Wow. In just 2 years, we’ve come far. I’m so proud of all you’ve done for NFTY

already and can’t wait to see what you’ll do on NAB. (“OMG YOU’RE ON NAB AHHH”) Kutz definitely brought us together, and I”ll never forget our

multi-helpings meals together and when you hurt your knee and I thought you were kidding. (Oops.) Also, chillin with Kobi and Zach was super fun.

I’m beyond happy we’re friends and will miss you times a million. Keep making me proud! Ali Oksner: I can’t say I remember when we met, but

you’ve always been the bomb. I’m convinced you’re so joyful and fun because all of the energy is packed into your small body. You’re the best and

I’m so glad I know you. Miss and love you times infinity. Sarah Quiat: Girl, you always put a smile on my face. I can’t believe we only met last year - I

feel like I’ve known you forever. Your happiness makes my day, and is so refreshing. I’ll miss you a lot and expect to keep in touch! Alissa

Rosenblum: I wish I had gotten to know you sooner! I loved bonding over our love of the same type of mechanical pencil as well as shared pet

peeves, obsessions, etc. It’s been so fun getting to know you, and you’re so cool. Stay that way and keep in touch! STL: SETYG: Michelle Bennett:

There is no one in the world like you. You’re smart, passionate, kind, beautiful, hilarious, and humble. I never get tired of being around you, you

always validate me and cheer me up, and your absence this semester on EIE has been killer. I’m so glad you’re coming back soon and will again miss

you so much next year. Having you as a song leader and friend has been amazing (flashback to Winter and “Heyah Ho”). Don’t ever lose touch.

Jordyn Miller: Remember being counselors together? Remember being the CAMPERS together? Good times. I’ve had a blast leading, working with,

and hanging out with you. You have awesome energy,, and that will help you be successful. I love your enthusiasm, and will miss you next year.

Keep in touch! Benjamin Pomerantz: You may be quiet at times, but you’re mighty. I’m so glad I know you and that you were my successor for

CVVP. I’ve loved our time together and I’m so glad I got to see you race for XC! I’ll miss you! Miranda Rubin: I don’t even remember meeting or

bonding with you, our friendship was just kinda… there. And it’s been great. Your determination is awesome and I’ve had so much fun planning,

talking, and attending all kinds of events with you. I’ll miss you next year, but can’t wait to see what you’ll do on Regbo. I’m always here if you need

me for RCVP stuff or anything else. Love you girl! Sam Shabsin: You are incredible. Don’t ever doubt that. I’ve loved our deep talks, and being

counselors together at Camp Emeth! Be confident and you’ll go far, but don’t get a big head. Your kindness and sincerity make you wonderful to be

around. I love you so much and will miss you lots. Keep in touch! Elana Stettin: I don’t even care that you joined SETYG late. It’s been a blast. I loved

Spring social last year and every other time we’ve had deep conversations and vented to each other. You rock, and I’ll miss you so much. Keep in

touch! Thal twins: I know, I know, it sucks being lumped together because you’re twins, but not the same person. But really, you 2 are amazing, and

this applies to you both. You have drive, intelligence, and the best sense of humor. You ALWAYS make me laugh and I love sharing ideas, jokes, etc.

with you. Keep being yourselves and go change the world. Alyson Yawitz: Girl, we’ve been through it all together. I’ve LOVED the fact that I can see

Page 27: Senior wills

you at school, in theatre, AND NFTY. I love talking to you about all kinds of things, and you always brighten my day. Your passion for everything you

do (a lot), has made you so successful and will get you far. I see so much potential and can’t wait to see what you accomplish! That being said, I will

you the book: How to Change the World because if anyone’s going to do it, it’s you. Don’t lose touch, I love you so so much. <3 Zigmans: You’re

each very different and awesome in your own ways, allowing us to have unique relationships. BUT you all make me smile, and I’ve loved getting to

know you, even if only for a year. (Also, Annie-Thescon! Yay!) I’ll miss you all next year! UHTYG: Jake Flom: You’re a goof and I love you so much.

Keep being you, and don’t forget, you’re going to be the role model one day, so make smart choices. I look forward to seeing you grow. <3 Jennifer

Heiman: Girl, we’ve only known each other for… ever! I’ve loved seeing you grow and having some time in NFTY with you! I look forward to seeing

you thrive and will miss you! <3 TIFTY: Rebecca Bloom: The energy you have in your shows (theatre) is same you carry everywhere. That and your

kindness and enthusiasm make you a recipe for good things. I can’t wait to see what those will be, but I know you’ll go far. You always make me

smile and I’ll miss you baby cakes! Kelsey Culp: Even though I haven’t gotten to spend large chunks of time with you, I know you’re an awesome

leader. I’m so impressed with everything you’ve done with TIFTY. Keep it up! Erin Wides: Going to school and NFTY with you and having you in my

network has been great! Your excitement for everything you do is awesome. Keep it up and keep me updated on all your successes! Colorado:

Noah Clay: I see great potential in you, JBiebs (bus rush, ha ha). Keep up the smiles, and remember when to be serious and when to expose your

contagious energy. Devin Feigelson: You have enthusiasm and kindness unlike any other. You have a contagious joyfulness that makes me feel

ready to conquer anything. Stay that way. I love you so much and will miss you girlie! Josh Herman: We didn’t meet until this year, which makes me

sad, but I’m so happy we didn’t spend any time warming up-we were just automatically close. I’ve always felt comfortable around you, and you

always make me smile. I love your snapchats and your smile and positive energy. Waffle Bros. was the bomb. I’ll miss you so much. Keep in touch!

Eli and Emerson Karsh-Lombardo: You’re possibly the cutest and sweetest twins I’ve seen. Your unconditional kindness toward each other, Lilly,

and others, make you special. Stay golden. Emily Kohn: You have the best smile and personality. Your optimism is contagious and you always make

me feel good inside. Keep it up, and reach for the stars. I can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve. Jacob Schwartzberg: Keep your head up, and your

eyes forward. I’m so glad we’ve bonded this year, and I’m always here for you. You have so much potential and can accomplish more than you

know. Adam Vicksman: So, our friendship was automatic which I love. I’ll never forget strolling around a room and hug-tackling people. I’ll also

never forget Winter 2014 Social and all those games. You’re caring and happy, and I love that. Keep in touch and update me as you progress

through NFTY! Kansas: Carolyn Hamburg: Hello to the girl with the best smile! You’re gorgeous and always know how to cheer me up. I’ve loved

you since I met you and knew you’d make a difference somehow. You did a fantastic job on JYG and I look forward to seeing what other great things

you’ll do. I love you so so much and will miss you! <3 Ian Roozrokh: You and Ethan are the best duo I’ve ever seen. I’m so happy I know you and

that I got to celebrate your birthday and the Oscars with you. You’re so talented and kind, and that will take you far. You keep doing you, and you

will go miles. You better not lose touch <3 Nebraska: Abby Hack: You have the energy to do whatever you set your heart on. You’re kindness makes

you approachable and lovable-2 great traits to have, and the recipe for success. While I’ll miss you, I know I can count on your fantastic snapchats :)

I can’t wait to see what you become! RCVP Network: Thanks for all your hard work this year, and for putting up with me. I just wanted to help you

as best as I could, even though sometimes that meant pushing you guys out of your comfort zones. You all have what it takes to be amazing - don’t

forget that, and keep challenging yourselves and reaching for your goals! Giants: Justin Baris: You’re special in the best way. You’ve made an

impact on me since JYG (even though you didn’t know it then) and I’m so so happy I’ve gotten to know you. I miss you so much and I’m sad we

don’t keep in better touch, but I’m glad you’re enjoying college. Thanks for everything <3 Austin Dubinsky: Your passion and dedication make you

special. I don’t see it in everyone, and it allows you to be successful in the things you care about. I’m so glad I know you, and had time with you in

NFTY. Thanks for everything. Jon Fry: My first memory with you was when you and Ian Staples sang happy birthday to me at my first Winter, and

first event with you. I’ll never forget that, and the way that moment and every other moment with you, makes me feel. You’re kind and

knowledgeable under all that goof, and I love talking to you and catching up. Miss you bud <3 Jackie Heymann: Nothing I say can capture what you

mean to me. I can tell you anything and you’ve steered me through all kinds of obstacles. I can’t imagine NFTY or Israel without you. You’re great

role model, and I’ve loved knowing you and am so happy we still keep in touch. Keep having fun in college and keeping me updated. <3 Ethan Lang:

You are so fascinating to talk to. I seriously enjoy talking to you about all kinds of things and am so grateful I had you to help me through NFTY. I’ll

never forget you guiding me through my first event and being there for me when I felt out of place. You have, and will, do so much and I can’t wait

to see it happen. Becca Levine: I know, it’s hard to believe, but yes, I was afraid of you Freshman year. You’ve always known who you are and what

you want, and that’s so admirable (and intimidating to a Freshman). You’re a great leader, and have helped me through a lot. Thanks for everything,

and I’m so glad I still get to talk to you sometimes <3 Sara Lynn Levy: I can’t thank you enough for raving about Kutz - my time there was amazing.

I’ve also loved our talks and bonding last year. I miss you lots already, but know you’re doing great things and are happy at Tulane. I adore your

personality and everything about you. Caleb Schroder: Remember when we were in a picture together from MWM and we didn’t know each other?

And then we talked and bonded, and finally met in person? Getting to know you was a fantastic choice. You’re a great leader and friend, and I’m so

glad I had you as guidance through elections and Regbo. Lastly, your belief in me has impacted me so much-I can’t thank you enough. Miranda

Siler: Just like you said, I’d be crying at my computer writing my own Senior Will before I knew it. While I don’t cry easily, and therefore am still dry-

eyed, I’ll admit, getting myself to even start this document was a struggle. Thank you so much for all of your guidance and advice, and for being you.

You’ve impacted me more than you know, and you’ll forever be my idol. Advisors: Thank you so much to all of you. I wish I could go through and

thank you one by one, but there’s too many of you, and you’ve all helped too much to put into words. Thank you for your time, commitment,

passion, and patience. You really make a difference in our community and relationships and give us guidance we can count on.

Page 28: Senior wills

The Senior Will and Testament of Sarah Quiat

NFTY-MV,

How do I say good-bye to the community that has taught me to love how I want to unconditionally, to laugh how I want unconditionally, and to live how I want to unconditionally? The years I have spent here and the friends I have met here will stay with me forever and though I can’t imagine my life without this eclectic group of loving, caring, and involved group of individuals, I know I will carry what I have here with me for the rest of my life.

Seniors: Lilly I’m not even going to try and say everything because you already know it all so I am just going to say vLILLYraptor you are my soulmate and I would not have even found NFTY without you, nor would I have found myself. Ellie you are the RCVP to the RCVP that still very much thrives inside of me! I love our talks and I honestly cannot wait to see the things you do because I know you are headed to most likely change the world. Sarah Keller where do I start with how much I love you? I am so incredibly happy to have someone like you who sees the world in a way so similar to how I do! I literally could not love you more and it has to be said: your voice is basically life. The number of pictures of you making weird faces on my phone basically sums up how perfect you are to me. Shelby I love you and I’m glad we bonded over the fact we actually survived IST lawlz Jeremy working with you and becoming so close with you the past couple of years has been an honor and a privilege. Your perspective on so many things is inspiring and your unbiased assessments of situations bring clarity to my ultra-“blue” way of seeing situations. You are truly the green to my blue! Alissa I am so glad we got so close last year in NFTY and on IST! Rooming during Winter was awesome and I love our discussions about the important things like Harry Potter and LGBT rights (totally on the same level) Jacob Maier babe you are perf. Mackenzie Haun AAAAH I love you so much and I can’t believe we just met this year! Literally our talks at Winter this year were perfect and I love you and yeah. Zach Heiman you truly inspired me to lead BTY in the most effective and incredible way I could!

Juniors: Natalies (Oberer and Wilson) my lovely lovely Natalies….together you truly make the most entertaining, genuine, and truly beautiful pair of girls. I cannot wait to see the places you go and it had better be good! Stay together and support each other because life ain’t easy….but when you have a Natalie around it’s a lot easier to survive. I love you two so much! Oberer you will name your child Stacy because you have got it going on. Wilson you are boss a.. b…. and don’t you ever forget it. Ilana you understand me like no one else can because we both (somehow) survived Bixby traumatization. Know yourself and don’t let anyone take that away from you because that person hiding underneath the quiet and thoughtful exterior is delightfully bubbly and emotional with a tad bit of crazy just like me. And you best accept that and love that! Thank you for being a rock in my life and my person I can talk to about literally anything, nad for making that such a two way street. Maddie my baby girl. I love you to the moon and back and I will never forget Winter last year when we became inseparable. We nailed the jumping hug and Ilana and Noah are clearly together all because of us so we are awesome basically. You are beautiful. You are intelligent. You are worthy of great things that I know will come your way. Noah where do I start with you? We have been through a lot of random things together but through thick and thin we still know how to rock uncomfortable mixers or games of pterodactyl. Though I am still unsure of what “hyphy” means, you are that….I think. You are going places and I can’t wait to see where. Aliyah I love you and your love of Harry Potter and your groundedness. I will never forget the times you have been there for me, nor will I forget the times I have been there for you, because I honestly feel I can talk to you about anything in my life and I am so grateful to you for that! Devin my PVP and partner-in-crime, I am so proud of what we have achieved over this year, and I am so excited to see the places you will go because you have got the motivation and the talent to take you wherever you want! Never forget that you are strong, that you are smart, and that you are caring. Elise Shalowitz sweet angel I can’t begin to

Page 29: Senior wills

describe how much I love you. To me, you are NFTY. Thank you for being one of the most incredible people I have met thus far. You are truly something special and I hope you realize that. Alyson, Miranda, Michelle, Ethan: My babies you are truly the future of NFTY and I cannot wait to see all that you do. You are all truly inspiring and I love you! Josh my babyyy oh goodness I love you you are fab Adam you and your sister are literally so amazing. You are so sweet and your hugs make me feel all warm and fuzzy and yeah. Ari my boy you are truly talented. Use that talent for good! I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Sophomores: Abby Bloomfield my baby blue you will forever be the little 8th grader I met at Keitanat Har Hashem day camp that I just wanted to protect from the cruel, cruel world because I knew you were special. You are one of the most genuinely kind and caring individuals I have ever met. You are never malicious, never rude, and never unjust. I will truly miss your warm energy, and please please stay in touch next year! I love you Ms. BLUEfield. (see what I did there? Oh yeah I’m punny) I have watched you blossom from that sweet little 8th grader into a strong, just, and incredible 10th grader who is most likely going to save the world. And I can’t wait to watch you do it. Maya Frost-Belansky I love you. Like…really love you. You are sarcastic, you are beyond incredibly intelligent, and you are fiercely loyal and caring. The work you have done this year with JYG is unimaginably great. You are shaping the future of NFTY and I cannot put enough emphasis on how important and special that is. Lucy Kodish you are so free-spirited, caring, and incredibly talented when it comes to Social Action. The passion you have for justice, the environment, and important causes is truly inspiring my dear! Plus…has anyone mentioned how awesome your hugs are? Go fix the world Lucy. I can’t wait to see you do it! Aaron Keller oh boy. Aaron you have grown on me quite a bit. I see such a talented songleader, party-starter, and respectful individual before me when I look at you. The work you have done to shape your position is really amazing. I am so proud to see you leading BTY the way you do! Eli Marsh call me Elias like my mother does.

I love you NFTY-MV with all my heart and I cannot wait to see all the places you’ll go!

Love love love,Sarah

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ALISSA MICHELLE ROSENBLUM To wholly explain, in words, the profound impact that NFTY has had on me as a person, the

enduring friendships I have formed, and the countless skills I have acquired is a truly impossible task. Only

one who has been there alongside me throughout my experiences in Missouri Valley can genuinely assess

my growth over the last four years. NFTY has been the best friend I have ever had. Even in bad times, NFTY was a light that was

constantly shining. The support and love that Missouri Valley has given me is unmatched to any other

support system I have had in my entire life. Of course, the magic from NFTY is a product of the very people who participate in it. To anyone

with whom I have spoken, even only briefly, I say thank you. And to those whom I do not specifically

address in this will, I love you dearly and I hope that you embrace NFTY to your fullest potential, for you

too will be writing your will before you can ever imagine. You have all changed my life immeasurably,

however, there are some very specific people to whom I owe my greatest gratitude. SENIORS

Lilly Karsh: I honestly have no idea where to start. How I feel about our friendship simply cannot be put

into words. I love you with my entire heart and mind. You have been there for me, even when I was being

impulsive and annoying. You have always been there to laugh with me, cry with me, and most importantly,

cuddle with me. You are such an amazing person and your presence could light up a castle. I love you so

much. Sarah Quiat, Sarah Keller, Mackenzie Haun: I love you girls so much! You are incredible

friends/housing buddies/song leaders/whatever else you could possibly be to me. The times I have had with

you have created so many positive memories and I can’t thank you enough for being such amazing people

and friends. JUNIORS

Ethan Stone: You, sir, are one of the best people I have ever met (and I don’t say that lightly). You are

such a kind, gentle, and altruistic soul and I am beyond lucky to have had you as a friend. I know you will

continue to do incredible things in NFTY and in life. I am excited to see where life takes you, for I know

you harbor considerable potential. I would impart wise words onto you, but you are already far wiser than I.

I do, however, have something to will down to you that I hope you will pass down to a junior next year and

it will become a Missouri Valley tradition. I leave to you a pink (so you can wear it on Wednesdays,

obviously) “The limit does not exist” t-shirt. Not only does this comply with NFTY’s running obsession

with Mean Girls, but it also refers to your unlimited bounds of positivity, kindness, compassion, and

selflessness. Wear it well, my friend. Sterling Waldman: When I think about you, the first word that comes to my mind is “wow.” You are such

an inspiration to me and I think that everything you do is so amazing and so important. I am so happy that I

have gotten to know you and become friends with you. You have taught me more about being an

extraordinary human being than anyone else I can recall. My advice to you is to keep being you and keep

doing what you do because you are going to change the world. This planet truly needs more Sterlings. Taylor Gleeson: Man, have I watched you grow. It was not long ago that I shared a cabin with a quiet,

introverted girl. Slowly, she crawled out of her shell, found her passion, and contributed to amazing things.

Your passion for social action is inspiring. You care so much about others; I aspire to be as kind and

compassionate as you. Keep doing what you are doing and don’t let anybody’s doubts stop you! You have

proven to so many people how incredible you are and if anyone ever tries to tell you that you’re not good

enough, don’t listen to them. You know what you’re capable of achieving and I have no doubt that you will

improve so many people’s lives. You go girl! Ian Roozrokh: YASSSSSSSSSSS! Well let me just say that you are so darn adorable. I love everything

you do. You are so sweet and honestly very talented. I see a true potential for you, my friend. Keep being

you and life will take you to wondrous places because you are one darn great person. I love you so much

and I’ll miss your beautiful face and personality quite a lot. Josh Herman: You are so fantastic! You have an influence on so many people. I truly don’t think you

have any idea how highly people think of you. You are an all around great guy and I am so glad to have

gotten to work with you on programs and surprise parties. I am lucky to be your friend and I seriously love

talking to you. You possess the perfect balance of sassiness, kindness, curiosity, and empathy to make one

very interesting person and one heck of a friend. Please keep brightening people’s days! Elise Shalowitz: I have watched you put together some fantastic services for FCTYG. You are so

dedicated to everything in which you are involved! Somehow, you manage to do write fabulous services,

Page 31: Senior wills

excel in gymnastics, succeed in school, and be a wonderful friend. I admire your hard work and devotion to

the things you love. Try not to stress yourself out next year and come to as many remaining events as

possible, for I can assure you, your time feels longer than it is. Emma Costain: Boy have we been through a lot together. You have shown me your most vulnerable

facets and after having watched you progress, I have nothing but admiration for your continued strength.

Our friendship is very special and I cherish the bond we have. Don’t let anyone stop you from achieving

what you want to achieve because if you put your mind and your heart into it, you can accomplish

anything. And please please know, that wherever I am next year, I’m always here for you! Devin Feigelson: Congratulations, my friend! I am entrusting unto you a legacy! You, ma’am, are the next

keeper of the Magic of Missouri Valley. Knowing you as a person and reading your application, you

display all of the necessary qualities that a person needs to make NFTY truly magical. You are witty,

funny, dedicated, and caring and I hope to see you become a grand sorcerer! SOPHOMORES

Sara Rothman: When it really comes down to it, you and I are a lot alike. We both love to be in charge

and we both like things to be done right (which is our way and no one else’s, obviously). I know this might

cause frustration a lot of times, but learning to embrace these qualities will take you far. My biggest advice

to you is to put your leadership skills to good use. Use them to do incredible things. Learn how to work

with other people and compromise, but stick your ground on the details that are most important to you.

Good luck, friend. Nathan Kregstein: You are such a great guy and I mean that with all my heart. In spite of being two

grades apart, I don’t feel like there is any sort of age barrier between us. I’m so glad that you’re so involved

in NFTY and that I was given the opportunity to be your friend. Whether we’re tumblr-ing together,

playing pool against each other, or ignoring Frozen together, I love spending time with you. You are so

much fun to be around! Please never change! And I think you would be excellent on board and I really

hope that you will run for next year! You’re an incredible person and I will miss you dearly. FRESHMEN

Jessica Nekritz: You, my friend, are the future of FCTYG. In three years, I hope to hear that you are

running for regional board or FCTYG president. You have really meshed well with so many people—it’s

amazing to watch! You are a unique and beautiful individual; don’t let anyone make you feel lesser! You

have big dreams that you must follow. I believe in you and support you wholeheartedly. You have

everything going for you, so just get out there and break a leg! Eli and Emerson Karsh: I have watched you two grow up, I have seen Eli grow into a handsome and kind

young man and Emerson grow up into a fabulous and beautiful young woman. The two of you might as

well be my honorary younger siblings (in addition to my actual younger sibling, of course). Emerson, I love

our late night talks with Lilly every time I come to spend the night at your house. Your stories are quite

intriguing and frankly hysterical to hear. Eli, I love your silliness and jokes. I love that you are so kind and

that you wouldn’t hurt a soul. I love just chilling with you when I come over. I love that Lilly can be busy

doing things and it’s not awkward for the three of us to sit down and have a conversation. You two have

become such lovely people. It feels weird to me how grown up you have become, for I still imagine you as

Bets at camp. This only proves that time flies. Go to every event, participate in every program, talk to as

many people as possible, make new friends, hug lots of people, get to know your advisors (they’re really

awesome people), and cherish every moment of it. I can’t wait to see the two of you continue to grow! My time in NFTY may be over, but the memories are forever ingrained in my mind. For all that it

has given me, I can be nothing but appreciative. I have learned to be a leader, a friend, and an activist. I am

ready and excited for the future and for college, but I would be telling an immense lie if I were to say that I

was not leaving NFTY with a very heavy heart. I will miss this, I will miss you, I will miss everything, but

my time to bid you goodbye has come.

Goodbye, NFTY Missouri Valley. I will always love you.

The Last Will and Testament of Hannah Jean Wolf

Missouri Valley, For the past four years of my life, this organization has changed me. Today I look in the mirror and see a leader, a proud Jew, and a creative mind. All of these traits stem from my time in NFTY, from the reconciliation of friends at the beginning of the event to the withdrawal following each Monday. However, most importantly, I have learned the meaning behind being a good friend and having good friends. Somehow my strongest relationships have been those stretched over thousands of miles. Despite the distance, those whom I’ve met within NFTY have been my best friends throughout my high school experience. I believe this to stem from one mutual view: that NFTY is an amazing, lovely thing. For this reason, NFTY has developed to mean a great deal to me. This is why I take the time to write this will, and mention some of the people who greatly influenced not only my time in NFTY, but also my life outside of it. Before I do this, I would just like to recognize each and every one of you for your importance, uniqueness, and influence in the upcoming years of Missouri Valley. I can’t wait to witness all you do.

Seniors Ali Oksner: From LTI our freshman year to LTI as seniors, we’ve had one hell of a ride. I always enjoy our long catching up sessions and will never forget when we do weird “things” such as act out “West Coast” on an airplane and take pictures jumping off of tables. You’re gonna go far girl and I can’t wait to see everything you accomplish. Shelby Ginsburg: This year has literally been awesome with you, in all aspects of our strange lives. From laughing until we cry in Stickrath’s class to our most recent endeavors at the TSYG shul in, we have always had a good and hilarious time together. I love your sarcasm, your semi-serious jokes, and overall your personality that aligns so well with mine. I can’t wait to visit you at the MIZ and continue to have crazy times over the years. You’re a star. H-Bud: I am so glad we became close in our misery of losing last year’s seniors. You have been utterly fantastic this year and I have thoroughly enjoyed each of our moments together. You are going to go so far in life and I wish you the best in every endeavor. Also, you’re a beaut.

Juniors Jordyn, Jamie, Marge, and Mia: I feel that is it totally okay and very normal to refer to you as a group and it saves me room so if it’s not, deal with it ;). I absolutely loved becoming close with all of you this year. Each and every one of you is hilarious and so light-hearted that it’s a complete breath of fresh air. I can honestly say that this year would have been much worse without you guys in it. I know each of you will have fantastic seniors years and beyond and I hope to continue our weird group chats so I can keep caught up in your lives. I love all of you! Miranda and Alyson: Kinda like those above, I feel I can also address you as a unit. The two of you are magnificent. I love your passion, drive, and caring hearts. You two have been a huge part of my NFTY career and I do not intend to allow my graduation to end our friendship. I can’t wait to hear the NFTY updates and life updates that we will share throughout the next year. Elana Stettin: It is literally as simple as I love you. You are a fantastic person and I am so glad I got to share this year with you. We just connect and I love that we get along so well and are so similar. You are such a star and I am so excited to follow your next few years. Emily Kohn: You’ve been my rock this year. I would not have survived the beginning of it without you. I can’t wait to see all you do in your senior year and beyond and I know we will keep in touch so I actually know about things that happen. You’re the bomb and I am proud to be leaving NFTY in your and your grade’s care. Jack Glaser: You are one of the best and naturally funniest guys I know. I love watching you succeed in school and in NFTY. I always look forward to our occasional lunches and long catch up sessions. I can’t even put into words how amazing you are. I wish you the best for the rest of your life, and I know you wont settle for any less.

2014 Board This year has been fantastic with all of you. Zach: You are going to wonderful things next year and I am so happy for you and all that you will accomplish. Taylor: You have grown soooo much this year that it is astonishing. I am so proud of you for being such an amazing board member. You will go very far next

Page 33: Senior wills

year. Ellie: I can’t even. You are so fantastic, hilarious, and down to earth. I loved our late night chats and random skype sessions throughout the years. I am confident that you will continue to grow and succeed throughout all the things that are coming. I love you. Tyler: Without you, I wouldn’t have survived this year. You mean so much to me and I will make sure we do not lose touch. You are absolutely wonderful and I know your unnatural ambition will take you so far in life. I hope to be there to see it. Love you babe. Benji: You are hilarious, kind, and so approachable. You will do amazing things in the next few years, and I can’t wait to see how you grow, particularly during your gap year! Ethan: You are so unique I can’t even put it down in words. I know you will go exponentially far throughout your life. I am so excited to see your impact in NFTY grow as you continue to succeed. Lilly: You light up room in an instance. This is a trait so rare that you can never forget it. Your laugh, your smile, your energy lifts everyone around you up in a cloud of happiness. You are utterly fantastic.

2013 Board Of course this is the portion where I start crying; you all suck. Caleb: You were my first NFTY friend and I would never have it any other way. You helped me come into my own last year, pushing me to be better and more creative. I owe you so much, and I miss you even more. There’s no one I would have rather skyped for 12 hours. I love you. Mir: My spoon buddy! Your indescribable personality has always pushed me to love you more and more each time I see you. Never change. Jack-Jack: You have been my best friend for the past four years. You have helped me in ways that can never truly be understood or quantified. Even though we talk less, you will forever hold a huge piece of my heart. I love you so much. Slynn: You pushed me to celebrate my girly side, and I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. I love watching you succeed and continually love Tulane. I wish you all the best in the world. I love you and I hope I’ll actually see you eventually in life! Jon: Where to begin? For some strange reason I really really enjoy your presence. I hope someday we live in the same city, even though that would be slightly terrifying. You do you Johnny boy. I love you strangely. Austin: I am literally so excited to spend the whole summer with you. The end <3. Ethan: You are the most influential person in my life. I cherish you to the fullest extent humanly possible. I am who I am today because of you and I can never thank you enough for all that you’ve given me. I love you more than I can comprehend.

Other Giants Lauren Katz: Never have I met someone so comfortable in their own skin. You taught me so much about being yourself and living life to the fullest…and also a lot about cats. I love you oh so much, and hate to give away my awkward moose. Mischa: My B-Davis forever an always, my gym buddy, my grocery store buddy, my best friend. You have had a HUGE impact on my life that can only be expressed through our bestowed nicknames. I love how nothing changes throughout our long separations and I hope to spend my entire winter break with you for the next four years. You’re wonderful and I love you. Alyssa: I LOVE YOU AND I CAN’T WAIT TO BE YOUR FANNYPACK ALL SUMMER. You’re beautiful. Morissa: Ohana means family has never meant more to me. I love you even more than I love myself, considering we practically are the same person. Separation has never bothered me so much as it does when I know we’re apart. I can’t wait to start our beautiful lives together in the city of our choosing. You’re more than my best friend, you’re an extension of myself: a sister. Zoe: I love you so much!! Thank you for absolutely everything you give me. I can’t wait for our many years of friendship to continue! Love you

Advisors Beth: Hey mom. Guess your last child is finally leaving the nest. I know it’s always just been kind of funny calling you mom, but to some extent I just assume we’re blood related. You’ve been so present in my life that I can’t imagine it without you, so don’t get too used to me being gone. I’ll be back. I love you so much Beth; you’re my Colorado version of Maria. Carly: Or should I call you Hannah Wolf?? I love our laughs together and I very weird times of being to similar or relating just a little too much. You are just such a wonderful human being I can’t even allow myself to let you leave my life, even though I’m the one graduating. LOVE YOU CURLS. Stephanie: You are my rock. I can always count on you to either make me laugh or be there for a serious conversation. Never ever change. I completely envy your kids. Well, Missouri Valley, this is it. I can’t believe I’m leaving this stage of my life behind, but I am confident it will always be a part of me. All I have left to say is thank you. For everything.
