Conflict: opposition of person or forces
Rising Action
The main conflict is dealt with through action
The main character is aware there is a conflict and takes steps to battle crisis
Climax
The high point/moment of greatest tension. May be physical, emotional or mental.
Falling Action
Story begins to wind down Results/consequences of decisions
character has made
Resolution
The end/dénouement. Conflicts resolved, loose ends tied up, happy or sad ending.
