Music Notes… Our parish music ministry will resume singing at the 10:00 and 11:30 liturgies on Sunday, September 11th. In preparation for another musical year, we are reaching out to all who find joy in singing or playing an instrument. We have already had several people interested in joining us... will you? Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, beginning September 5th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the balcony of St. Joseph’s. Jane Touhey is our Music Director and Bob Gaus conducts the Schola (10:00 a.m.) and Choir (11:30 a.m.) Our ministry sings for Holy Days, Sunday liturgies, concerts and other special occasions. We have singers from ages 14 to 80+, who currently attend St. Joseph’s School, Coleman and Kingston High
School, young adults and adults of all ages. Our music “family” is a wonderful source of inspiration, musicality and friendship. Music is provided. Reading music is not a criteria… finding joy in the Spirit and singing our faith is why we gather. If you can sing on pitch… we need you! If you play an instrument… we need you! Please contact Bob Gaus at 845-389-1503 or music.saintjoseph.com or on www.facebook.com/music.saintjoseph
The SEMINARY COLLECTION
September 11, 2016 There will be an Annual Seminary Collection, which will be conducted in our parish on this weekend. The cost of preparing future priests is daunting, and for this reason we count on your yearly support. With it, we are able to continue our solid tradition of excellence in the formation and academic training of candidates for the priesthood.
25th & 50th Wedding Anniversary Any couple in the parish celebrating their 50th or 25th Wedding Anniversary are cordially invited to our parish celebration in your honor on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at the 11:30am Mass. We kindly ask that you register at
the parish office if you would like to participate. We would be happy to celebrate with you to honor you and your commitment to the Sacrament of Matrimony in this special way.
