Tregeagle Biggest Morning Tea Choir Performance TOMORROW Tomorrow, Friday 14 June, Tregeagle Senior & Junior choirs will be performing at the Tregeagle hall at 10.15am. Southern Cross Community of Small Schools Spelling Bee – Next Thursday 20 June Best of luck to the following students who will be representing our school at the Southern Cross Community of Small Schools Spelling Competition at Wardell Hall next week. Colouring Competition In the lead up to our Pirate-a-thon fundraiser, students are welcome to enter our pirate themed colouring competition. These are to be returned to the class teachers by Monday 24 July. Free Dental Clinic Visit – Kindergarten & Year 2 (Term 3) Northern NSW Local Health District oral health therapists will be visiting the school on Wednesday 11 September to conduct oral health assessments for Kinder & Year 2 students. Permission notes were sent home today & are to be returned by Wednesday 3 July, thank you. High Jump Athletics Competition Today students in Years 2-6 participated in their high jump competition as part of the Tregeagle P.S Athletics. Students showed great determination & put in their best efforts.

June. Students will also need to bring a full drink bottle on the day to remain hydrated.

Winter flu season - key points for schools Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. The symptoms of influenza range from mild to severe. What can be done to stop the spread of influenza? Influenza is spread from person-to-person through the coughing or sneezing of infected people. All schools should remind staff and students about good hygiene practices and how to minimise the spread of infection. Any person with symptoms should remain at home until they are well. There are several effective ways that students and staff can stop the spread of influenza. Anyone who is sick with influenza symptoms should be advised to stay home until their symptoms are gone. Cover the nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. Throw the tissue in the garbage bin after use. Wash hands often with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective. Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way. If you or your child develops influenza-like illness, seek the advice of your family doctor as you would with any other illness. Girls & Boys Zone/Regional Touch Trials Well done to Savannah R, Chloe W, Tarni H, Kiera D & Sahara H who participated in the Northern Rivers Zone Touch Trials on 3 June. Congratulations to Savannah, Chloe & Sahara who were selected to compete in the North Coast Regional Girls Touch Trials in South Grafton last Monday. Sahara made it to the top 18, just missing out on the top 12 placements for the state team! Well done also to Jamie P, Mitchell S & Jackson S who competed in the Northern Rivers Zone Boys Touch Trials in Yamba recently. We are very proud of all of our student’s efforts!
