We are excited to bring back Trunk or Treat this month on Sunday, October 31st, 6-8pm. Trunk or Treat is a great opportunity to love on the families of our community! We’re looking for as many folks that can to sign up to host a trunk. You will want to get creative and come up with a theme for your trunk decor. You can even go so far as to coordinate your costume with your theme. And don’t forget the candy! You’ll want to bring lots of candy! We will also be accepting candy donations and hope to help supplement your supply as well. Another great addition to your trunk presentation is a game. So put on your thinking caps and come up with a game that the kids will love. You can Google trunk or treat themes to get ideas and help get the creative juices flowing. If you can commit to host a trunk, be sure to sign up in the church foyer or online at fbctc.com/events. Our goal is to have at least 20 trunks. We will also be partnering with Mainland City Centre and Texas Entertainment Xperience in bringing this event to our community. We hope that many of the tenants of Mainland City Centre will also host trunks with us.
We are also looking forward to hosting the Galveston Baptist Association’s Annual Meeting this month on Tuesday, October 19th. Their annual meeting will be at 5pm followed by a meal and then Worship & Message at 7pm. Worship will be led by John Talley and our worship band, and the message will be brought by Bob Bickford, the Associate Director of Replant at the North American Mission Board. Members from other churches belonging to the GBA will be in attendance. If you plan to make it for the meal at 6pm, be sure to RSVP with the church office.
