THIS IS HOW I LOVE YOU Saint Paul reminds us that God has "saved us and called us to a holy life."
God never forgets about us, but knew before the creation of the world exactly when, where, and how we would live out our faith. God's wondrous plan includes visions and voices for some. For the rest of us, we rely on the Word of God and its witnesses who testify that Jesus truly lived on earth among us and sacrificed his life for our salvation. Je-sus and his Church are all the revelation we need. We draw close to him in word and sacrament, in prayer, in service to others, and in countless acts of sacrifice each day this Lent. We ask the Lord to help us trust, with all our hearts, that God will always provide exactly what we need. If we are faithful to our prayer this Lent, God will speak to us--even if not through a cloud.
ASÍ ES CÓMO TE AMO San Pablo nos recuerda que Dios nos ha "salvado y llamado a una vida santa". Dios nunca se olvida de nosotros, pero sabe antes de la creación del mundo exactamente cuándo, dónde y cómo viviríamos nuestra fe. El maravilloso plan de Dios incluye visiones y voces para algunos. Para el resto de nosotros, nos basta la Palabra de Dios y sus testigos que tes-tifican que Jesús verdaderamente vivió en la tierra en medio de nosotros y que sacrificó su vida para nuestra salvación. Jesús y su Iglesia es toda la revelación que necesitamos. Nos acercamos a él en palabra y sacramento, en oración, en ser-vicio a los demás y en incontables actos de sacrificio cada día esta Cuaresma. Pidamos al Señor que nos ayude a con-fiar, con todo nuestro corazón, que Dios proveerá ex-actamente lo que necesitamos. Si somos fieles a nuestra oración esta Cuaresma, Dios nos hablará, aunque quizá no sea desde una nube.
