• In the beginning of the project, School Support Committee
and Children Council did not understand about their roles
and responsibilities in promoting Safe Schools.
• In the beginning of the project, Task Force and Writing
Committee had limited knowledge on DRR and Safe School
concepts lead to slow down the development of Safe
School Initiative.
Challenges
• Times consumed to build the capacity of School Support
Committee, Children Council, Commune Committee for
Disaster Management
• A lot of support made to support Task Force and Writing
Committee established by the MoEYS of RGC to develop
Safe School Initiative
Lessons Learnt
• Continue partnership with CRF, and cooperating with MoEYS,
and providing capacity building to them through training,
workshop, mentoring and coaching on DRR and safe school
• Continue technical support to CRF to provide capacity building
to School Support Committee, Children Council, Commune
Committee for Disaster Management in target areas on DRR
and safe school
• Through CRF, support Task Force and Writing Committee to
finalize and launching Safe School Initiative nationwide and
expanding to 72 target schools in 24 provinces/capital using
Safe School Initiative within the next few years for greater
impacts
Way Forward
