Introduction• In this presentation I will be writing about
techniques me and my group used to ensure that our media product would attracted this audience. For example; Characters, Sound and Mise-en-scene
Mise-en-scen• The setting we used for the scene when Janae
and Ibz are talking is very comfortable, and can remind some views of their own home as it is quite cozy.
Mise-en-scen• We chose to use this location as Ibz’s house
because many young adults visit each others on a regular basis, member of the audience can relate to this because it is normal for teens hang around each others homes talking over a cup of tea.
Mise-en-scen• The tea and biscuits is also part of the mise-
em-scen/ props as is very traditional and British to have tea.
Mise-en-scen• The costume of both of our characters is
casual and quite stylish and up to trend, some members of our audience might even own some of the same clothing.
Mise-en-scen• For example Janae was wearing 'disco
trousers' which are very current.
Mise-en-scen• Another prop we used was a IPhone 4 which is
extremely popular in both the younger and older generation, this helped make the phone call Janae had seem more realistic as it is a phone many people and and know how to operate.
Prop – iPhone 4
Sound• We also used the sound of the iPhones
ringtone which is distinctive and many people would be able to recognize what it is.

Characters• The characters we chose to be our main
actors were chosen because they're young (17-18) and British.
Characters• This was an important technique we used to
try and attract a younger audience because the audience are more engaged in a film if they have things in common with the actors.
