SGB-SMIT group is owned by One EquityPartners who are domiciled in the USA. One Equity Partnersacquired the majority in SGB-SMIT Group in 2017 and are focusedon the specific market sectors of industrial, health and technology,in North America and Europe and during a period of some 15years One Equity Partners has invested in over 140 companies.
Summary
SGB-SMIT Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly ownedsubsidiary of SGB-SMIT GmbH and the local entityresponsible for Australia and NZ. Its role is to marketthe capabilities of the group, seek out new businessopportunities for transformers in identified marketsectors, tender for opportunities and enter intocontracts with prospective clients for manufacture,factory testing, delivery and where required site
installation, testing and ongoing service oftransformers. It is the only group company which hasa local ACN and ABN. SGB-SMIT Australia Pty Ltdbecame a local Australian company in December2018 and is supported by a global base of more than3000 employees throughout the group.
