SGT University will conduct SGT University Entrance Exam (SGTUEE) for admission to various

UG/PG Courses offered on its campus. SGTUEE comprises of Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal

Interview (PI).

For UG Courses, students securing 75% and above aggregate in Qualifying exam (CBSE/ICSE/any

recognized board) are exempted from SGTUEE. Final selection will be only on the basis of Personal

Interview.

For PG Courses, students securing 65% and above aggregate in the qualifying degree are exempted from

SGTUEE. Final Selection will be only on the basis of Personal Interview.

The test is applicable for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate (UG), Post Graduate (PG)

programs of all disciplines (except: MBBS, MD/MS, MDS, BDS, BAMS). Also, the students who have

cleared the mentioned national entrance exams with a valid score JEE/JEE-

Mains/CLAT/NIFT/GATE/CAT/MAT/NCHMT are exempted from SGTUEE.

SGTUEE 2019: Eligibility

Candidate must have passed/ be appearing in class XII from CBSE or a recognized board. Candidate must

also ensure the eligibility condition laid down by the university and respective recognized body of that

course.

Process

Candidate who wishes to appear for SGTUEE 2019 must follow the following steps:

STEP 1: Registration

Students can apply for SGTUEE slot(s) online. Initially, candidate needs to login to the official website as

a new user. To sign in as new user, the candidate must have a valid email ID. Once the login is

successfully created the candidate can login and access the registration form.

STEP 2: Slot Booking

Once a candidate fills the registration form, it is expected of him/her to upload a valid (Adhar Card,

Passport) photo ID along with Class X Mark sheet, the candidates will be given the choice to book their

slot to appear in the SGTUEE. The candidates can select time and date as per their convenience.

However, the slot will be granted only on the basis of availability.

Pattern

SGTUEE is a scholastic aptitude test of high school level conducted in online mode. The candidates will

be able to check their results on the official website only. They will be required to log on to the official

website with their respective user IDs to be able to access their results. The merit of the entrance exam for

each course will be based on SGTUEE (75%)+ Personal Interview (25%). As the University will be

admitting through entrance exam for the first time, candidate will be allowed to take two attempts in the

SGTUEE and whichever is the best in those two attempts will be considered. The University will not

charge any extra fee for the second attempt.

SGTUEE 2019 will consist of 75 multiple choice questions in the following sections:

FOR PG COURSES:

Subject-wise questions (except courses MBA & MA(J&MC). These courses will have regular

aptitude exam)

SGTUEE 2019 will be conducted by SGT University. The SGTUEE is a computer-based test (CBT) in

which a candidate gets a randomly generated test from a pool of questions. The number of questions and

time limit of the test sections are pre-determined. The computer displays one question at a time and will

display the next question only once a candidate has taken an action on it.

Q 1. How can I seek information on admission to undergraduate/ postgraduate/ M.Phil./ Ph.D.

courses in SGT University?

Ans. You can seek information online for all undergraduate/ Post graduate/ M.Phil./ Ph.D.

Courses through the admission portal URL & follow the guidelines to proceed.

Q 2. I have registered online for the SGTUEE for UG/PG courses. Do I still need to fill up the

offline form for the admission?

Ans. No, there’s no offline form.

Q 3. Can I apply in multiple programmes/courses in an online form?

Ans. Yes, you may select all programmes/courses of your interest through a single online

registration form.

Q 4. I made an error in my online registration form. Do I need to register again using different

email-id?

Ans. Yes, you can register again.

Q 5. Is it possible to change/update the information provided by the applicant on the online

application form?

Ans. No, generally during admission, candidate can always modify any personal information

submitted during registration process.

Q 6. Why am I not able to preview my application?

Ans. Please ensure you have completed the mandatory fields (marked with red asterisk) on every

page.

Q 8. Do you have Hostel Facilities?

Ans. SGT University high quality accommodation, separate for boys and girls, on a shared basis,

with clean and hygienic dining facilities is provided. University provides well furnished rooms

with 24 hours’ power back-up, treated water, Wi-Fi. All hostels are provided with Security

Guards round the clock. The Campus includes utility center, gym, and bakery shop.

Q 9. Is transport facility available from NCR Delhi to SGT University?

Ans. More the 40 university buses fly from Delhi NCR to the University. The detail chart of the

bus routes is available on the official website.

Q 10. Are there any recreational facilities in the campus?

Ans. Yes, there are multiple societies functioning in the campus (Dance, Music, etc)

Q 11. Is there any medical facility in the campus?

Ans. Yes, SGT University has its own hospital which provides 24*7 services.

Q 12. I have got compartment in my XII exam, am I eligible for entrance exam?

Ans. Yes, you are eligible for entrance exam but the admission will be considered after clearing

the compartment.

Q 13. If I have diploma, is entrance applicable for lateral entry?

Ans. Yes, you also have to appear for the entrance but the admission will be in the courses where

lateral entry is permitted.

Q 14. Will there be a disadvantage for gap year candidates?

Ans. There is no disadvantage for gap year candidates and they would be treated at par with

regular students. They should meet the requisite criteria for admission and must possess the

necessary documents/ certificates at the time of admission.

Q 15. Will the applicants be given admission on first come, first serve policy for admission?

Ans. Admissions are not based on first come first serve policy. Instead, the applicants who have

filled the online registration form and satisfy the criteria and cut-off for a particular programme/

course in a particular college will be considered for admission as per schedule for admission

specified.

Q 16. Can I take admission in two different courses after the declaration of admission list?

Ans. You can secure seats in two different courses but need to decide a course within a specified

time.

Q 17. I have completed my 12th from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). Can I get

admission?

Ans. Yes, you can get admission in a SGT University provided you have applied in an available

programme/ course and meet the admission criteria.

Q 18. Is it important to have caste or tribe certificates in the name of a candidate/ applicant?

Ans. Yes, there should be a valid certificate on the name of the candidate/ applicant.

Q 19. If my result is awaited, Can I submit the online registration form?

Ans. Yes, you can submit the online registration form and even appear in SGTUEE.
