Demarcation of scheduling periphery• LTOA generators are separate control

areas with a schedule. Example: for Sugen (Torrent), the

scheduling periphery becomes Sugen 400kv bus whereas for NSPCL, the scheduling periphery becomes Raipur 400kV, since the lines to Raipur are owned by NSPCL. In the case of Jindal, the scheduling periphery becomes 400kV Raipur. For Lanco, the scheduling periphery is at 400kV Pathodi


– Is gaming certification required for the LTOA generators on DC or on approved LTOA quantum?

– The meters are to be provided by the LTOA customer at their own cost and meters shall have to comply with specifications as per Annexure-2 to Chapter-6 of IEGC.


– POWERGRID shall have to keep additional stock of around 100 meters and 15 DCDs to meet the requirement of LTOA customers. The cost of the meters shall have to be paid by the LTOA customers.

– Maintenance and testing of SEMs at LTOA generators bus as in the case of NSPCL, the SEMs used for accounting shall come under the scope of POWERGRID and the payment for the same to be borne by the LTOA customers.


– Some LTOA generators are having MPP status and their tariff is fixed by CERC. Whether different treatment is required for such plants?

– Treatment of power drawn during construction

– Treatment of infirm power from LTOA generators


• Metering Scheduling and Accounting of LTOA customers in WR

• Metering: Schematic diagrams showing the locations of meters for NSPCL at Bhilai Chattisgarh, LANCO-AMARKANTAK at Patahdi Chattisgarh, Jindal at Tamnar Chattisgarh and Torrent at SUGEN, Gujarat are enclosed at Annexure-I. The committee may approve for the locations and for the number of meters.


• Scheduling: Common scheduling request for mutually agreed quantum signed by LTOA generators and their respective customers shall have to be sent to RLDCs. The scheduling quantum may be specified at injecting utility’s control area periphery. This quantum shall be restricted to their approved LTOA quantum. This arrangement for scheduling is required as the allocations in percentage are not available as in the case of ISGS stations. Similarly revisions of schedules may also be informed to RLDCs
