IntroductionSalvation is the ultimate goal for all souls,

but the path to this attainment is understood byonly the fortunate few. It is only after accumulatingthe spiritual merits of performing good, piousdeeds over several births that a soul becomesattracted by this sacred path. Worldly souls largelyimmerse themselves in false, materialistic gaininstead of realising the eternal truth, bliss andfortune that exists in the Murti of God.

The supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayanand His divine lineage of ascetic spiritual heirs havemanifested upon the Earth to emancipate soulsfrom the mire of the world and lead them toeternal salvation. The Lord’s fifth successor is HisDivine Holiness Acharya ShreePurushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj.During His divine speeches, He has giveninvaluable guidance on many different subjects;several books of His key quotations have beenpublished by Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan,


including ‘Chintan na Chamkara’ (Contemplationof the Divine) and ‘Sneh ni Sarvani’ (Fountain ofDevotional Love).

In Loya Section Chapter 14 of theVachanamrut, Lord Shree Swaminarayan says, “Bylistening to My discourses, you will understand Myprincipal philosophy. Just as a string follows theeye of a needle, and a string is threaded throughall the beads of a rosary, My primary opinion isinherent within each of My talks.” In the samemanner, the predominant viewpoints of AcharyaSwamishree Maharaj are contained within thisscripture. It contains the essence that formsAcharya Swamishree Maharaj’s highly beneficialteachings of morality, which enable souls to attaintrue happiness within this life, and thereafter.

Just as a rosary for chanting the sacredname of God contains 108 beads, the sacredteachings imparted by Acharya SwamishreeMaharaj have been distilled into the 108 verses


contained in this scripture, Mukti Sanjivani –Enlightenment of Salvation.

5 The name of Jeevanpran Shree AbjiBapashree now resonates all around theworld. This is as a result of the remarkableendurance of Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa.

6 Shree Swaminarayan Gadi is the lustrousdivine throne of Lord Shree Swaminarayan,upon which He magnificently presides inHis divine abode Akshardham. This is thedivine lustrous throne described by theLord in Vachanamrut, Loya Section, Chapter14, upon which He alone presides.

7 So that others may visualise His divine,lustrous throne, by the command of LordShree Swaminarayan, JeevanpranSwamibapa gave physical embodiment toShree Swaminarayan Gadi.

8 Shree Swaminarayan Gadi is the sublimeparadise that Lord Shree Swaminarayanhas created for souls to attain eternalsalvation. It is the place where the solaceand love of Lord Shree Swaminarayan isexperienced.

9 At Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, the doer ofall deeds is none other than LordSwaminarayanbapa Swamibapa Himself.

10 Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapahas taken on the responsibility of ensuringeternal salvation to all those who remaindedicated and unfaltering at ShreeSwaminarayan Gadi till the end of theirlife, live a principled existence and performsincere devotion.

11 If you wish to perform true, love-filleddevotion, acquire the status of the Anadi-muktas and thus attain eternal salvation,come to the shelter of Shree SwaminarayanGadi. This is where the door to salvationexists.

12 At Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, if a personperforms sincere, committed devotion andkeeps the Lord as his doer in everythingthat he does, the Lord Himself ensures thatall his deeds are successful.

13 Lord Shree Swaminarayan has entrustedthe key to eternal salvation to the leadersin His spiritual lineage, i.e. the presidingAcharya of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.

14 If a person has appreciated the glory ofwhat he has attained, i.e. the supremeShree Swaminarayan Gadi, the greatestGuru Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa, etc.and such a realisation remains incessantlywithin his heart, he experiences constant

bliss and contentment, and such glee isevident on his face at all times.

15 For a true disciple of Lord ShreeSwaminarayan, it is always the golden ageof Satyug at the shelter of ShreeSwaminarayan Gadi. The extent of hisdigression from the will of the Lorddetermines the amount of irreligious Kaliyugthat he introduces into his own life, andthe amount of hardship that he experiences.

16 Only someone who has amassed the meritsof numerous births and gained the immensemercy of Lord SwaminarayanbapaSwamibapa, attains the Karan Satsang – theshelter of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.

17 Lord Shree Swaminarayan fulfils the loving,spiritual desires of those who take theresort of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. Heensures their wishes are fulfilled and thustrue love towards Him is cultivated. Unitingthem completely with His own Murti, He

18 From the moment that a person associateswith Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, the joyfulseason of attaining eternal salvation hascommenced for him. The extent of hisdigression from the commands of God orthe lack of understanding of His supremacydetermines how quickly that blissful seasoncomes to an end.

19 As the reward for devotedly prayingthroughout numerous births to becomeassociated with God, you have been grantedthe shelter of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi. Itis up to you to ensure that you never forgetthat fact.

20 Lord Shree Swaminarayan forever presidesupon Shree Swaminarayan Gadi to takecare of His truly devoted disciples. All thatthey need to do is abide by His will. TheLord will take care of everything else.

21 Bapashree used to say, “We will give yousuch a great personage through whom thesupreme philosophy of Lord ShreeSwaminarayan will resonate throughoutthe world. That illustrious personage wasJeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.

22 The pioneering Sant of the SwaminarayanFaith who first stepped foot outside ofIndia, and thus instigated the spread of theFaith throughout the world, was JeevanpranShree Muktajeevan Swamibapa.

23 Devotion through the classical arts of drama,dance, singing, painting, sculpture etc. weretaught by Lord Shree Swaminarayan. It wasJeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapawho revived these arts and encouraged HisSants and followers to become skilled inthese fields.

24 According to the command of Lord ShreeSwaminarayan, it was Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa who established

educational centres for the benefit andprogress of society.

25 It was Jeevanpran Shree MuktajeevanSwamibapa who encouraged spiritualleaders that the wealth amassed from thepeople should be used for the benefit ofsociety.

27 The virtues of humility and organisationalskills of Shree Muktanand Swami wereinherent within Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa.

28 With the exceptional scholastic skills likethose of Shree Nityanand Swami, it wasJeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapawho upheld the principles taught byJeevanpran Bapashree during philosophicaldebates.

29 The exceptional flair for poetry andliterature of Shree Brahmanand Swamiwere innate in Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa, with which Hewrote the scripture of devotional poemsnarrating the supremacy and truephilosophy of the Lord, Shree HariganamrutKavya, and the epic Sanskrit biography,Shree Swaminarayanbapa CharitramrutSagar.

30 To teach society that youth developmentprogresses society, Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa establishedBoarding Schools, giving both worldly andspiritual education.

31 It was Sanatan-dharma-samrat (Emperorof the Eternal Religion) Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa who had beenpraised as the elite, glimmering gem by theAkhil Bharat Sadhu Samaj, the institute ofall India’s ascetics.

32 Jeevanpran Swamibapa was immenselygenerous and did not distinguish betweenrich or poor, high or low stature, educatedor illiterate. His mercy and grace wereavailable to everyone who sincerely soughtthe divine presence of God.

33 Many great personalities have been bornor appeared on Earth, but compared to theinfinite prowess of my Gurudev Swamibapa,they all are trivial and insignificant.

34 In accordance with Lord ShreeSwaminarayan’s forecasts, the supreme LordShree Swaminarayan and His divine lineageof spiritual heirs have regarded ShreeSwaminarayan Mandir Maninagar as theireternal home and will preside here forevermore. Such is the grandeur of thismagnificent, divine abode.

35 So that there remains no confusion fordisciples about which form of Lord ShreeSwaminarayan should be meditated on,

Jeevanpran Swamibapa installed the divineMurtis of Lord Shree Swaminarayan onlyin the main shrine of Shree SwaminarayanMandir Maninagar, but no other forms.This was a first for the entire SwaminarayanFaith.

36 The Mandirs established by JeevanpranSwamibapa are where darshan of thesupreme Murtis of the Lord is possible, thesupremacy of the Lord is understood,resolute devotion towards the Lord isperformed, and where the elite Anadi-mukta status is attained.

37 If a person takes the dust from the floorof Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagarand with true devotion, places it over hishead, he becomes worthy of attainingeternal salvation.

38 Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar isthe sacred site where devotion to God iscombined with service to humanity and

development of people. It was JeevanpranSwamibapa who was the architect of theseideals.

39 The greatest of pilgrimage sites is the lotusfeet of Lord Shree Swaminarayan. The holyplace where that Lord presides and ispresent for bestowing mercy to His disciplesis Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar.Such is the significance of this great siteof holy pilgrimage.

40 Lord Shree Swaminarayan, JeevanpranShree Abji Bapashree and Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa magnificentlypreside in all the Mandirs of ShreeSwaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. Therefore,one should go there routinely anddevotedly for darshan, worship, prayerand to listen to the spiritual debates anddiscourses.

41 Lord Shree Swaminarayan showers Hismercy upon a person who regularly attends

the Mandir for His darshan. He comesdown from His shrine and lovingly callsand embraces His disciple. His expectationis that by blessing the disciple in this way,he continues attending the religiousdiscourses and performing worship withgreater and greater devotion.

42 Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagaris: the Naimisharanya Kshetra, where one’ssenses, worldly thoughts and desires aredestroyed; the Kalpavruksh and Chintamani(wish fulfilling tree and gem), where one’sspiritual desires are fulfilled; the divineship upon which a person traverses theocean of life; and is like the shade of abanyan tree, where the miseries of theworld fade away.

43 On entering the grounds of ShreeSwaminarayan Mandir Maninagar, one’sworldly thoughts fade and an overwhelmingsensation of spiritual peace is experienced.

44 Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa SmrutiMandir in Godasar is an amazing place ofpilgrimage where the spiritual desires of allthose who devotedly go there for darshanare fulfilled.

45 Even a bird that flies over ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandirwill be blessed by Lord Shree Swaminarayan.So, if someone goes there with faith andspiritual love for darshan, there is no doubtthat he will become worthy of eternalsalvation.

46 Today, the entire Swaminarayan Faithproudly and fearlessly sings the praises ofLord Shree Swaminarayan as being supreme.This is all as a result of Jeevanpran ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa’s courageousendeavours for the protection of RahasyarthPradeepika Tika sah Vachanamrut and ShreeAbji Bapashree ni Vato.

47 Lord Shree Swaminarayan and JeevanpranShree Abji Bapashree are the same divineentity. There is not even an iota of differencebetween them. It was Gurudev ShreeMuktajeevan Swamibapa who explainedthis fact, and who, by the command of hisGuru, ceremonially installed the Murtis ofJeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree in themain shrines of the Mandirs.

48 If a person truly regards Lord ShreeSwaminarayan as being the Incarnator ofincarnations, supreme, and omniscient, hewould never say, do or even think anythingthat would displease the Lord.

49 Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapahas come onto this Earth with just one aim,‘how can all the souls who come to Myshelter not deviate from that path tosalvation and thus become deprived of theeternal bliss of the Murti’.

50 God may punish a person, but does so inorder to improve him. Accordingly, evenhardship should be regarded as being a giftfrom God. If a person lives his life with thereligious decree foremost in his mind, hewill not experience distress.

51 God has given us much more than we areworthy of. So remain contented withwhatever circumstances God has given you.

52 If we side with God, the Lord Himself willundoubtedly side with us.

53 Parents diligently give every opportunity totheir children so that they can progress inany way that they can. Similarly, God andHis Satpurush ensure that every soul whocomes to His shelter progresses spiritually,and therefore experiences the bliss of theMurti.

54 Developing a determination about God isa very difficult deed. For this to happen,

God or His Satpurush must be encountered.Due to their mercy, a person associateswith and develops affection towards them,and then an immensely firm determinationis formed. However, determination cannotbecome firmly established merely bylistening to recitals of the scriptures orreading them.

55 Someone who sees and thinks about nothingexcept for Lord SwaminarayanbapaSwamibapa and Shree Swaminarayan Gadi,has already attained eternal salvation whilstremaining in his physical body.

56 If a person has truly developed arelationship with Lord Shree Swaminarayan,he will not be ashamed of adorning theexternal symbols of the ShreeSwaminarayan Faith, which are the tilakchandlo and kanthi. To the contrary, hewould be proud of showing them.

57 By diligently and obediently abiding bythe commandments stated in theShikshapatri, one’s life becomes pure andhonourable.

58 Only a person who endeavours to alignhis mind with the thoughts of otherdisciples will have affection, respect andadmiration for them and consequently, hewill experience the bliss and joy ofworshipping God.

59 If a person refrains from eating or drinkingjust anywhere, anything, or from anyone,pious thoughts will definitely develop withinhis mind and he will progress bothspiritually and socially.

60 Ensure your thinking and conduct alignto the following: ‘May each of my stepslead me to perform good pious deeds, andmay I regard my religious decree as beingfaithfully serving Sants and disciples.’

61 The person who keeps God foremost inhis life and regards worldly matters tobe trivial undoubtedly attains theauspiciousness of God.

62 To develop love for God, you must keepyour words and deeds pure, and enjoinyour senses and mind with God.

63 Only if devotion is performed with the soleaim to please God but not to show off tothe world, the Lord becomes pleased withthat individual.

64 A person who sees the virtues of others butnot their flaws is a gentleman. Someonewho perceives the faults of others but doesnot acknowledge their virtues is anabhorrent person. But someone who doesnot consider the virtues or demerits ofothers is a sant-like individual.

65 It is more advantageous to endure the insultsof others and not react to their affronts.

66 If you want to keep your mind chaste, youmust maintain purity in your sight (vision).If your vision is deformed, everything else,including your mind, words, behaviour, lifeand even your name will be ruined.

67 Someone who maintains restrains over hismind may be a human being, but still, heis considered to be a deity.

68 If Lord Shree Ghanshyam Himself isacknowledged as being your ultimate father,you will consider everyone to be equal, theforce of your internal enemies recedes, andall enmity subsides. Only then can it beconsidered that you have a genuine affectionfor God.

69 Sadguru Din is the day to examine howmuch glory of the supreme Lord ShreeSwaminarayan you have understood, theamount of love towards Him you havedeveloped, whether you have regardedHim to be omniscient or not, realised that

He is manifest and present before you, andhow strengthened your soul has become.

70 The person who arrogantly considershimself alone to be true and good, andeverything should occur according to whathe thinks, is the greatest of fools. Such anindividual ruins the lives of anyone whohe associates with.

71 Having gained control over his internalenemies, the person who spends his lifeabiding by the commands of God has infact conquered the world.

72 The root of all quarrels is anger andarrogance. If a person strives hard, it ispossible for him to discard these traits andhappily perform dedicated devotion, andthereby attain the mercy of God and achievesalvation.

73 Resenting others and holding on to grudges,wishing harm to others, ridiculing them,

creating strife and disharmony; these arenot the characteristics of civilised people.

74 All our skills and abilities are due to themercy of God. Never forget this fact andarrogantly believe, ‘I am something’.

75 Addiction to vices is the most dangerousof paths, which will lead your life todestruction and ruin. Remain afar fromthem in every manner by enjoining yourmind to the devotion of God and your bodyto serving Him.

76 The cause of a person’s misery is his owntemperament. It is very difficult to rectifysuch an inappropriate temperament, but bythe remembrance of God and His grace, itis possible.

77 Whilst the mind is polluted, one cannotexperience contentment from devotion.When the mind becomes purified, thecontinual bliss of devotion is experienced.

78 Instead of thinking what the other personwill like, first consider, ‘what would Godbe pleased with?’

79 Whilst a person does not strive to improvehimself he cannot realise just how bad heactually is.

80 There is a natural tendency for a personto see the faults of others but not his own.Such individuals are the greatest of fools.If you wish to proceed along the path ofprogress, you must first learn to identifyyour own flaws.

81 A true disciple considers all the actions ofGod and His Satpurush to be extraordinaryand divine. He never doubts or perceivesfaults in them. He discards his own thoughts,and regarding their words to be immenselybeneficial, he diligently abides by theirwishes and pleases them.

82 Associate with good friends. But who is agood friend? A truly good friend is someonewho enjoins you to the shelter of ShreeSwaminarayan Gadi and explains the gloryof Lord Shree SwaminarayanbapaSwamibapa and His true Sants.

83 Using time constructively comprises ofremaining engrossed in worshipping God,associating with His Satpurush and beingactive in the work of the Mandir.

84 When listening to a religious discourse,you must not allow other thoughts to enteryour mind. Religious discourses contain theway to further your spiritual knowledgeand attain salvation.

85 Someone standing at the edge of the RiverGanges has no concerns about how he willquench his thirst. In the same manner, aperson for whom devotion has flourishedwithin his heart due to accepting the

shelter of Lord Shree Swaminarayan,remains fearless on the path of salvation.

86 Worldly love is regarded as being lust,whereas love for God is calleddevotion.

87 If you wish to attain salvation during thisvery birth and become accomplished inmeditation, you must establish resolute lovefor God and His Satpurush, understandtheir greatness and cultivate truedetermination about them.

88 A loving disciple never tires of performinggood deeds. To make others happy, he evenneglects his own comforts.

89 A truly loving disciple sees every attributeof God, such as His face, eyes, smile etc.to be divine and enchanting. This is evidenton such a person’s face, as he remainscontinuously joyous due to him remainingengrossed with God.

90 The true and easiest way to keep your lifefilled with peace and contentment is todevelop love for God.

91 Just as a farmer has to remove weeds fromthe soil when growing fruit and flowers,a truly loving disciple of God needs topluck out the insincere, wrongful andworthless thoughts from his mind tocultivate good, truthful and pure ones,which adorn the garden that exists in theform of his life.

92 If there exists true love, two hearts willcombine to become one, and the existenceof one’s own thoughts or status over theother will not remain. This is similar tohow a river combines with the sea.

93 Love and devotion for God is the easiestway to attain His mercy because He thenbecomes responsible for you. Consequently,He becomes your helper and guide. Godcannot remain without such a truly loving

disciple, and such a disciple cannot remainwithout God.

94 God has the utmost of love for us all, andso he has given us the most vital ofelements, air and water, completely free ofcharge.

95 A person who seeks salvation should developa sense of affiliation towards the Satpurush,just as he has a connection with his ownbody and relatives.

96 A philanthropic existence is what the lifeof a truly great Sant should be like.Regardless of whether they are ascetics orhouseholders, everyone should strive tobecome a philanthropic Sant.

97 Someone who enjoys comfort and givessuch wellbeing to others, is a gentleman.A person who endures suffering but doesnot allow that pain to reach others is aSant.

98 Even in dire circumstances, the person whodoes not falter in his firm determinationand resolute trust in God, and who abidesby His every word knowing that it is theabsolute truth, is the truly devoted disciple.

99 God forgives those who offend Him, but Henever forgives those who insult His Sants,because they live with the sole intention ofbenefitting the world.

100 By performing meditation on LordSwaminarayanbapa Swamibapa’s Murtiearly every morning, the soiled mind iswashed and purified.

101 Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapahad a truly inspirational saying: ‘Remain asthe Lord wishes you to live; see whateverHe wishes you to see; and do whatever Hetells you to do.’ If a person lives accordingto this way of thinking, he will remain freeof tension even under the most depressingand stressful of circumstances.

102 Each and every moment of your life isprecious. By uniting each of those momentswith the worship of God, those goldenmoments make a person’s entire lifepriceless and worthwhile.

103 Spiritual knowledge is much more valuablethan wealth because you have to look afterthe money, whereas the spiritual knowledgewill protect you at the necessary moment.

104 The greatest Mahamantra to enable you totraverse the ocean of birth and death is‘Om Shree Swaminarayanbapa SwamibapaBhagwate Namaha’.
