About the Wireless Broadband Alliance - WBA

Founded in 2003 by a unique mix of Wi-Fi, mobile & broadband operators who viewed

public Wi-Fi as a strategic complement to their mobile and fixed broadband network(s)

The mission of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) is to resolving business

issues and opportunities for service providers, enterprises and cities, enabling them to enhance the

quality of service experience on Wi-Fi and significant adjacent technologies.

WBA will continue to drive and support the adoption of Next Generation wireless services

with coexistence and convergence of unlicensed and licensed networks across the entire public

Wi-Fi ecosystem, including IoT, Big Data, Converged Services, Smart Cities, 5G, etc.
