THE STEWARDSHIP CORNER Stewardship of our time and talent and treasure

is not limited only to the Church. Many people give time and money to other groups in the community as well.

Diocesan Support Appeal (DSA) If you have not yet contributed, you can donate online

at charlottediocese.org/dsa or by returning the pledge form that you received in the mail. Remember, any amount over our goal will be returned to the parish for our own needs. If you have an outstanding pledge, please complete your pledge payments by December 31. Our parish DSA goals are $25,781 at St. Mary and $4,350 at Christ the King. On behalf of those who are served, many thanks to those who have already given or pledged to the DSA. Catholic Campaign for Human Development

Next week, our second collection will be for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Over 40 million people in the United States live in poverty. This collection supports programs to empower people to identify and address the obstacles they face as they work to lift themselves out of poverty. By supporting this collection you give people a hand up, not a hand out. Your contribution will defend human dignity and help those living on the margins of our society. Monthly Offertory

ARCHDIOCESE FOR THE MILITARY SERVICES

On behalf of His Excellency, the Most Reverend Timothy P.

Broglio, Archbishop for the Military Services, USA (AMS), thank you to those who contributed to the National Collection for the AMS last week. Your generosity will assist Archbishop Broglio in the mission, “Serving Those Who Serve,” and will help make it possible for Catholic men and women, and their families, currently serving in the U.S. Military, to receive the sacraments and pastoral care no matter their location around the globe. Your support will also provide the sacraments and pastoral care to those who are wounded, or veterans receiving care in one of the 153 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers. Thank you for supporting the men and women, and their families, from our own parish and diocese who serve and protect this great nation, and who defend the freedoms we hold dear.

CHAPEL AVAILABLE 24/7

To encourage more prayer time with Our Lord the chapel is available for prayer 24/7. If the door is locked use code 5440# to temporarily unlock the chapel door. For your protection there are cameras inside and out and the door will re-lock automatically. Once inside the chapel it is very important that you do not approach the Altar or move past the warning signs, or the alarm will sound. Changes to the door code will be periodically announced.
