SINUS K - frequency ConvertersThe SINUS K Inverters cover a range of power from 4.7 kw to 355 kw, with input and motor three-phase voltage from 380 to 415VAC and DC bus series feeding from 530 to 705 Vdc. The range is available in IP00, IP20 and IP54 protection degrees, besides every single model is applicable to a wide range of powers, according to the torque and current overload required. The Inverters have got the CE mark and satisfy the most rigid European EMC directives (electromagnetic compatibility).
Advanced Functionalities"Remote Drive" Communication interface and managing software
The SINUS K incorporates quite widespread communication interface series such as Modbus-RTU on RS485.The "Remote Drive" software offers tools for the control of the inverter through PC as the video image capturing, keyboard's emulator, oscilloscope functions and multifunction tester, compiler of charts containing the historical operation data, scan function for the automatic recognition of the connected drives (up to 247 ES drive), setting parameters and data receipt-transmission-save from and to PC
Remote Drive allows the inverter's remote service communication by using a simple internet connection. The remote drive software chat line allows fast communication between the inverter's user and our engineers.
The SINUS K control is based on a CPU managed by microprocessor INTEL16bit and DSP Motor Control 16/32 bits, both with reprogrammable flash memory

Selection GuideThe inverters of the SINUS K series are dimensioned based on allowable current and overload. Each inverter model
may be connected to 4 different motor sizes depending on load performance. Four types of torque/current overload are
available; their duration is 120 sec every 20 min up to S30 and 60 sec every 10 min from S40 to S50:
LIGHT overload 105% to 120%; may be connected to light loads with constant/quadratic torque (pumps, fans, etc.);
STANDARD overload 120% to 150%; may be connected to standard loads with constant torque (conveyors,
mixers, extruders, etc.);
HEAVY overload 150% to 175% may be connected to heavy loads with constant torque (lifts, injection presses,
mechanical presses, translation and lifting of cranes, bridge cranes, mills, etc.);
STRONG overload 200% may be applied to very heavy loads with constant torque (mandrels, axes control, etc.).

For the parameter programming and view a keypad is located on the front part of SINUS K inverters. The keypad includes 4 LEDs, an LCD display and 8 function keys. During operation, the display shows the parameter values, the alarm messages (if any) and the value of the measures processed by the inverter.

The SINUS K Inverters are easily adaptable to the Customer's requirements due to the several software functions integrated on every drive. They can be used, for instance, on cranes and bridge cranes, paper and plastic machines, metallic thread and metallic sheet manufacture, textile, tools, compressors, conveyor belts, mixers, mills, pumps, fans, etc.
Applications
Hoists and cranes' traslation.
The sw IFD SINUS K is able to drive a certain number of motors in parallel for the traslation control of both bridge and trolley of cranes and bridge cranes. With the high overload capacity and automatic control of the mechanical brake opening and closing, the sw IFD SINUS K can be used in every sector, from the iron and the industrial ones up to the cranes for the building industry.
Hoists and cranes lifting
The sw VTC SINUS K integrates specific functions for the lifting systems' control. With the help of anti-falling integrated function, it is possible to check with total safety the suspended loads' handling, without using of the closed loop(no encoder). This function manages mechanical brake opening and closing under all operating conditions, thus assuring the immediate block of the lifted load in case of excessive overload weights and/or anomalies of the system.

Textile
The function "power down in case of main loss", broadly tested on spinning and twisting machines, makes the sw VTC SINUS K an essential product in textile sector. Moreover, the whole series of inverters offers the possibility to connect a certain number of devices in parallel on the DC BUS (including brushless drives) so that it is possible to keep the function active also on multi-motor machines.
Winding and rewinding machines.
The SINUS K integrates some functions for the winding and rewinding machines'control:- configurable PID in all applications where a feedback speed control is required from a position sensor (dancer) complete with material breaking function;- External TORQUE and/or TORQUE/SPEED control in the applications where a pull control is required (sw VTC only)
Centrifugal machines
The function of "speed search in case of main loss", broadly tested in the centrifuges of sugar, milk, oil, textiles' drying, makes the sw IFD SINUS K an essential product in all these applications. With sw IFD SINUS K, it is no more necessary in case of main loss or system anomaly to wait too much (productivity missed) for the machines' restart. This function allows the inverter to seek the motor rotation speed and take back the machine control in a soft immediate way.
Pumping and ventilation
The SINUS K is equipped with a specific SW for the control of pumping and ventilation applications. With the integrated PID function, it is possible to check the pressure in a totally safe way or any other quantity in a completely automatic way. This function controls up to 3 motors with a single drive, precisely modulating the motor speed controlled by the inverter and activating both start and stop of other motors through digital outputs according to the application's requirements.
Elevators
The sw LIFT SINUS K is the ideal solution to plan an elevator or renew and update an existing system with a traction control for rope elevators to be placed on the top of movement expectations, noiseless and cost effective operation.The sw LIFT SINUS K gives the application an excellent precision, positioning and run comfort to program 2 levels of commercial speed +1 of floor approach, acceleration and jerk. The display of sw LIFT SINUS K will indicate the theoretical deceleration spaces, for a correct positioning of deceleration signals on the lift-shaft.
