Wall Panels

Like our other engineered wood

products, our wall panels save you

time, money and guesswork. All of

our wall panels are developed by

skilled technicians using sophisticated

computer modeling software. The

software assists with the development

of accurate shop drawings that are

then used to fabricate the wall panels

to a building designer’s specific

requirements. The result? Building

components precision fitted to exact

specifications. You’ll receive a layout

for a complete wall system with

framed-in openings for windows,

doors and headers, exactly as

detailed on the plans.

I-Joists

Universal carries a complete line of

I-joists for all applications — from

solid-sawn flanges to LVL flanges.

Stronger, straighter, and more

consistent in quality than dimension

lumber, our I-joists are lightweight

and yield less waste during installation.

OPEN JOIST®

Open Joist from Universal Forest

Products is a revolutionary, open-web,

all-wood floor truss engineered for

long spans and superior load-carrying

capabilities. Open Joist is lightweight,

safe to handle and can be trimmed

on the job site for exact fit.

Open Joist trusses are individually

tested to more than twice their

strength. Precision finger joinery

and waterproof structural adhesive

are used in Open Joist's assembly

process to produce a stronger, more

resilient wood-to-wood connection,

resulting in enhanced floor system

performance.

Plated Floor Trusses

Universal’s open-web trusses are

custom made to fit exact specifications,

so you won’t have to cut them on

the job. As with Open Joist, our

plated trusses’ open-web configuration

allows builders to easily install

mechanical systems.
