Easy to find

Both hotels are really easy to find. The 2 websites links appear first on the search engine Google when tiping in the names of the hotels. Hotel Gabriel is easier to find than Hotel Ares as a map also appears on Google, with the location of the hotel.

Hotel Ares’ website is easy to use as all the different pages of the hotel are accessible through the banner on top of the website. You can easily choose to which page you want to access.

Hotel Gabriel is also very easy to use, even easier as the icons are bigger to be better seen. Same as for Hotel Ares, the icons will bring the customer directly to the valuable information he/she is looking for.

When checking availability on a given date, there were no descriptions of the room categories associated to the different rates proposed.

Easy to share

Hotel Ares is accessible and can be shared via the social network Facebook. When clicking on the widget, the customer arrives directly on the Facebook page of the hotel.

Appart from Facebook, Hotel Ares is not very active on sharing its website with customers.

Hotel Gabriel has no link to any social network. The hotel website cannot be shared at all.

Qualitative Analysis

Both websites are more like brochures rather than sharing with website customers. The two websites are very well designed.

The market positioning is well expressed for Hotel Gabriel as it is specialised in Bio products. Therefore, the clientele targeted is the clientele interested in bio products.

Regarding Hotel Ares, its website shows that it is a luxury hotel with typical Parisian architecture. It expresses the intimacy of the hotel. Both hotels are luxury hotels, expressed by the good pictures, and the word « luxe » which appears on Hotel Gabriel’s website. On the main page of Hotel Ares’ website, we see the hotel logo with the 4 stars representing the star ranking of the hotel.

Conclusion

Both hotels should improve their accessibility to social networks, create newsletters to which customers can sign up for. None of these websites can be shared with friends. Hotel Gabriel should add a guestbook like Hotel Ares, or link the website to a guest review website like Trip Advisor.

The booking engine button should be more visible on both

websites, so that customers would not have to look for it.
