SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol COURSE OVERVIEW This course provides the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell or serve alcohol in a licenced premises. The course is fully accredited naonally recognised training and will also allow you to gain the Liquor and Gaming NSW Interim Cerficate prior to gaining your photographic competency card. If you are starng a career in hospitality, wish to work behind a bar, sell alcohol products in a retail store or work as a Crowd Controller in a licenced venue, then you need to obtain this qualificaon. COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS State and Territory licensing requirements apply to this course. Photo Idenficaon required prior to enrolment. You must be at least 15 years of age to aend the training. You will attend for at least 6.5 hours from 9am to 4:00pm at either of our campuses in Granville or Liverpool. You will conduct a range of simulated acvies, work in small groups and you will need to complete a wrien assessment at the end of the course to be deemed competent. Throughout the day you will also complete formave acvies leading up to your final assessment. Training runs regularly at both our venues: Granville every Thursday 0900 to 1600 and Liverpool every Wednesday 0900 to 1600. POTENTIAL JOB ROLES Potenal job roles on compleon of this program include: ο Bar Staff ο Crowd Controller at licenced venues ο Wait Staff in bars, clubs, bistros, restaurants ο Retail Assistant for licenced retail alcohol sales ο Managers, product representatives, volunteers in licenced venues The course will teach you about the legal requirements in NSW for serving alcohol, how to sell or serve responsibly and how to ensure that the broader community does not suffer from irresponsible sale and service. If you are under 18 and complete the training this will sll not allow you to work in a licenced area which does not allow minors. You must wear enclosed footwear at all mes while training with us. You must have sufficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills to be able to parcipate in the program. All prospecve students will undertake an LLN assessment prior to enrolment.
