MISE EN SCENE

The low-key lighting in the cellar creates an spooky and uses the setting to play with our emotions

The small boy with big glasses is a clever way of showing how small and young the boy is and also outcasts him from the rest.

Man with no clothes makes us fearful of him as we do not understand why he hasn’t got clothes on or why he is there.

EDITING

These are examples of where it fades into the different scenes

These close ups on the faces are continually changing as the truth is being reveled and it is to show the different emotions between the two characters.

• Sting emphasizes the names of the actors and actresses at the beginning

• Slow paced music• Digenic music whilst in the living room calms the

atmosphere down when it was where scary and mysterious in the wine cellar

• The crackling of fire also creates a warm atmosphere • When the truth begins to be revealed in the bedroom, the

fast paced music that was building up tension stops and gives the impression that it is all going to be alright.
