St. Vincent de Paul Society Do you consider yourself a naturally caring, compassionate and giving person? If you would like to share these gifts with people in need, you might think about joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. In the coming weeks, we will share the mission of the Society and the works of our conference. If you are interested, contact Eileen Dufault (849-7033).
EXPO – Last week, we inserted a flier in the bulletinabout an EXPO hosted by our conference and put on by National Grid. This EXPO will be held on May 11th , from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the church hall. We are hoping that our parishioners will take advantage of this event to see if they are eligible for a reduction in their electric bill and/or services that might be available to anyone on a limited budget. Pass the word; this EXPO is open to everyone in our community.
Our food pantry is in need of Spam, soups, canned spaghetti and meatballs, instant mashed potatoes, maple syrup, cake mixes, Rice-a-Roni and toilet paper.
Altar bread for the gluten intolerant and celiac patients is available. See Father before mass. www.stjosephsnewport.org
