Spring Break Dates A reminder this year our Spring Break is Mon-

day April 1, 2019 through Friday April 5, 2019.

We return to school on Monday, April 8, 2019.

Mother Son Event

When: Thursday, March 14

Time: 6pm-8pm

Where: Get Air West Chester Oh

$15 per mother/son, $5 each additional son. Reservation forms came home already, Fees Due by 3/1/19

SJCS Lenten Activities St. Joseph Consolidated School students will

be participating in many Lenten activities dur-

ing the next few weeks leading up to Easter.

Wednesday March 6, 2019 is Ash Wednes-

day, students will receive ashes during all

school Mass.

On Tuesday, March 26 there will be an Pen-

ance Service for students in grades 2-8

On Tuesday, April 9 we will have an all

school retreat for SJCS students and staff.

The students will be working in their House

groups for the retreat. For the retreat stu-

dents will need to wear their #sjcs shirts.

All parents and grandparents are invited to

join us as the Eighth Grade class presents

Live Stations of the Cross on Thursday,

April18 at 8:00 a.m. in the school gym

IOWA Testing

Information During the weeks of March 4 and March 11 students in

grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 will be taking the IOWA Tests. Stu-

dents in grades 2 and 5 will also be taking Cognitive tests,

and Grade K will be taking IOWA Reading Tests. Any stu-

dents new to St. Joseph this year will also take the Cognitive

Test. The results of these tests are very important for our

school in several areas. Testing will take place Mondays,

Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and

from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 on Thursdays. There will be make up

testing on Fridays.

SOC Meeting

SOC will be holding their next meeting for the year on March 5 from 2:30-3:30. Please email mschroeder@sjcshamilton.org if your child will be attending the meeting. You should email even if your child has already attended a previous meeting, it will be their walker note for that day. Please email no later than 3/3 in order to participate in the meeting on 3/5.
