The use of our Con-Lock system is up to six times quicker overall thantraditional methods, it arrives ready made to your specification andready to install.

Traditional rod installation for this system would take 12 minutes toinstall; the use of Con-Lock reduces the time to 5 minutes. Over thecourse of 10 installations using Zip-Clip will save you 70 minutesreducing labour costs by 60%

The concept of using rods tobuild bracketry systems is anindustry standard, however theprocess is time consuming, which is where the use of wirerope supports offers aninnovative step to the installprocedure.

Traditional methods require rodbeing cut to length, hot workspermits, a power source, siteaccess with off-loadingcapabilities and larger storagefacilities all mounting up to atime consuming installationprocess.

Con-Lock system and anchor fixingOne of Zip-Clips leading products and best sellers isthe Con-Lock.

This system incorporates a Fischer concrete anchor,pre-determined length of Zip-Clip wire with SWL’sfrom 15kg up to 90kg and a Zip-Clip locking device.

With its rapid installation time, strength, performance and ease of use into cracked ornon-cracked concrete the Con-Lock anchor is by farone of the most superior wire suspensions systemson offer.

To achieve this level of strength, performance andconfidence in our products we are proud toassociate ourselves with World Class Recognisedfixing manufacturers such as Fischer Fixings.

The Zip-Clip Con-Lock utilises the CLA1 anchor, which is commonly mistaken as or called a“Ring Anchor”. The ring anchor is a copy that hasbeen mass produced and filtered into the Europeanand UK market. The CLA1 anchors are tested toBS8539.

If you are unsure of the origin of a wire suspensionconcrete anchor, a simple way to establish itsperformance and identify an inferiority is to ask themanufacturer to do a pull test on site. Whenperforming on site pull tests all Zip-Clip TechnicalMangers are CFA trained and approved to carry outproof load testing to the highest standards on allfixings.

We encourage our customers to invite us on site todemonstrate the levels of performance that areachievable with our fixings.

For more information on our fixings and full range ofservices please contact your local TechnicalManager.

CLA1 - Technical Review

CLA1 offers the advantages of a bolt

anchor. The shaft cross-section

corresponds to the nominal drill

diameter of 6.0mm. The combination of the clip and the coneleads to the highest tensile loads withshortest anchorage depth - even incracked concrete, min 35.0mm.

The black clip represents the highestPerformance and enables easy visualDistinction between stainless and zinc

ADVANTAGES:

Very simple to set - drill, drive, done!

Only 2 - 4 blows need to drive theanchor into place

Only 35.0mm anchorage depth -reduces drilling time

Highest permissible load bearingcapacity of up to 1.5kN

FUNCTIONALITY:

The CLA1 nail anchor combines the advantagesof the functionality of a bolt anchor with thoseof simple impact installation - tightening torqueto expand the anchor is not necessary

When loaded, the installed nail anchor on theCLA1 expands automatically and the cone ispulled into the expansion clip, bracing thisagainst the drill hole wall

The CLA1 fastens profile suspended ceilings, pipework, cable ducts, wall coverings, windows, fireprotec-tions plates, etcINSTALLATION
