Greenwich P2P marketplace is a way for people to take control of organising their home

support services online. It was developed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the

Greenwich Carers Centre using the Slivers-of-Time flexible workforce platform.

This service is available to all vulnerable adults living within the London Borough of

Greenwich and their families or carers. It enables carers and vulnerable adults to have the flexibility to

choose the right care worker to attend to their personal care needs, for practical support or book a

carer break.

Registered services users can:

• Find care workers who are qualified, available and willing to provide different forms of support

• Book a care worker within a couple of clicks for when and where they need instantly and at

short-notice

• Make very flexible requests including short-term bookings of just a few hours

• Let the marketplace take care of any payments and administration

• Allow advocate users to make bookings

Customers can make the booking themselves online. Requests can be very precise e.g. Down to 15 minute intervals, not just for filling pre-determined shift patterns. The talent pool is able to meet very specific customer demands and so new opportunities for flexible support can be met.
