Rapid motorization and inadequate space to support it are one of the most important factor to influencing the mobility and accessibility in a city. Hyderabad is one of the rapid motorization metropolitan cities in India. Every day 800-900 vehicles are added to the road, but the parking facilities are not increased in the same proportion. There is a mismatch between the number of vehicles and parking spaces leading to serious concerns like traffic congestion, accidents, environmental hazards etc. The Objective of the seminar is bring together the state government officials from HMDA, GHMC, HMR, research bodies, parking management consultants and academia on a common platform to deliberate a key developments and challenges for Smart Parking Infrastructure in Hyderabad City.
