Athletics Sports Day – 7th March

We will be holding our school Athletics Sports day on Tuesday

7th March. This will be an all-day event held at Joe Carmody

Aths track in Newborough. The children will be travelling to

the track via bus.

This is a fun day for all children. To help make the day run

smoothly we do need parent helpers. If you are able to help,

please see Mr Bill Rilen.

Don’t forget to keep up to date with

things happening around the school by

downloading the Skoolbag App!

Available free for iPhone and Android.

COLLINGWOOD V RICHMOND

SATURDAY, 11TH MARCH

TED SUMMERTON RESERVE

South Street Primary School will be running a BBQ when Collingwood meet to play Richmond on 11th March here in Moe.

This will be our major fundraiser for Term 1. Plans are well underway.

Lots of help is needed on the day. If you can spare just an hour or so, it would be helpful. Please see Mr. Tactor or Mr. Koot if you can help out.

Tickets are available from Ticketek or the AFL website.

SCHOOL BANKING

School banking day is Wednesday

Get to Know You Interviews

Thank you to all parents who came to check in with their child/ren’s class teacher on Tuesday and Wednesday

afternoons this week. From teachers’ perspective, this was a great opportunity to meet parents, to learn a little

more about your family and their child and to set some goals for the year. Teachers found this early-in-the year

informal chat, a great way to start building a relationship with you, which is so vital to children’s happiness and

wellbeing at school.

Contacting Teachers

As a school we encourage regular parent contact with teachers so that you have a good understanding of how

your child/ren are going and so that teachers are up to date with anything that they should be aware of. The best

way to contact teachers is by dropping into the classroom before or after school, by phoning the office (5127

1512) and leaving a message for the teacher to call back, using the Skoolbag app or emailing the school account

([email protected]). We kindly ask that you refrain from contacting teachers via social media or

private phone numbers.
