NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

In association with CRPF, NSS Unit organized a

public awareness rally “Run for a Mile - Run for a

Green - Run for Harmony” from CSI Church to

Govt. Arts College in Racecourse road, Coimbatore

to promote National Integration & Communal

Harmony, on 27th August 2011.

The public awareness rally “Conserve Petrol and

Diesel” was conducted on 23th September 2011

from our college to Dr.SNS Rajalakshmi College of

Arts and Science. More than 500 NSS volunteers

participated and created awareness by issuing 3000

notices to public.

NSS Volunteers were participated for the Election

duty to Tamil Nadu Local Bodies 2011 on 19th

October 2011 at kovilpalayam village.

Andakkapalayam village from 06th to 12th February 2012.

The Villagers were benefited from the programmes on Free

Dental checkup, Free Eye checkup, Free sugar test checkup,

First aid awareness, Election awareness, Global warming,

Environmental safety, Leadership skill, Electricity saving,

Yoga and Meditation. Drawing competition, Computer

training, Sports and Essay writing. English coaching and

Cultural events were conducted to school students.

YOUTH RED CROSS (YRC)/ RED RIBBON CLUB (RRC)

RRC organized a one day awareness camp on 12th

April 2012 in the theme of “HIV/AIDS in the head

of youth protection” and many events conducted

successfully.

YRC organized an induction program on “MAN MAKING

EDUCATION” along with Sat Guru Yoga Vidhyalayam

on 21st July 2011. It was inaugurated by

Dr.S.Jaladharan, Faculty, Department of Yogic science,

PSGR Krishnammal College for women.

YRC organized “FREE EYE CAMP” along with Eye

Foundation, Coimbatore at Gobanari (Mettupalayam

taluk) on 12th February 2012. It was inaugurated by

Dr. K. Babu.

RRC organized an “Induction Programme” on 11th

October 2011 in the theme of “HIV/AIDS awareness

among youth” by RRC District manager
