WHY SHOULD BUSINESS’ USE SOCIAL MEDIA

• Using social media to promote business is extremely important in this day and age

• When you use social media you can get the word out to a much larger market

• Out of house advertising is very expensive, getting the word out through social media is free

WHO USES SOCIAL MEDIA

• Today 94% of all successful business’ use some form of social media to promote their company. (Bosari, 2012)

• 60% of marketers in a company dedicate their days to improving their social media presence. (Bosari, 2012)

• The payoff from taking the time to promote your business through social media is astounding.

WHY IS THIS PAYOFF SO GREAT?

• 85% of all companies that have used social media to promote their business, have reported an increase in their market exposure. (Bosari, 2012)

• Companies who do not use social media will fall behind when it comes to getting the exposure they need

• Many times companies who fail to use social media sites will not excel like companies who do

SALES INCREASE DUE TO SOCIAL MEDIA

• 58% of companies that have used social media have seen business growth in less than 5 years

• Everyday there are over 500 million tweets, 4.5 billion likes on Facebook, and 95 million posts on Instagram (Copp, 2016).

• If you can be one of these tweets, one of these posts, or one of these shares your company will do very well

PAPER ADVERTISING= $$$$

• My company spent over $48,000 last year on postcards…..I can assure you that most of the households that received these postcards threw them in the trash.

• This is because most people tend to look for real estate online, they really do not care about an old school postcard, I have tried to talk my boss into getting on the social media bandwagon, but he doesn’t budge.

• You can not easily spread the word about your business

ITS VERY EASY

• Running a social media site for you business is very easy, yes it is time consuming but this generation grew up using social media.

• Now you can hire interns for free, or employees to run your social media.

• Just like a sales or marketing team you can have a social media team than can build your brand
