At the heart of every nonprofit’s ability to engage
donors and create movements is its ability to tell
a compelling story -- but not just any story.
The further we progress in the information age,
the savvier donors become, and the greater the
“return” they expect to see on their charitable
investments. More and more, it’s become
essential for nonprofits to identify, articulate, and
most importantly, market the impact they make
with their programs, and tell it in a grand story!
Let us tell you our amazing story! Living a life of love
Featured in the Mountaineer Newspaper
Mountain Haven Ministries provides local assistance to families in need
Feeding the hungry. Clothing the naked. Housing the homeless.
How we started:
Two years ago,
Patrick Porter and
his wife, Shelley
Costello-Porter, left
professional careers
in Orlando, Florida,
packed everything
they owned into
their SUV and came
to Haywood County
to do just that. Live
a life of love! Their
hearts desire
is to live out
Matthew 25.
Our story was featured in the Mountaineer newspaper.
Over the past few years we have adopted 50 families from
extreme impoverished communities, so in the love of God
through feeding, clothing, educating, sharing the word of
God, music and teaching them to reach out and return.
We minister to the needs of people on the streets,
under bridges and in the woods.
Sharing love, showing love, most people just need a hug!
Cooking and feeding and
homeless shelters
We have adopted 50 families in extreme impoverished communities. We provide food, clothing, school supplies, education, biblical training, music and love! In this photo we made a video and wrote words about our future put it in a time capsule and buried it.
We minister to women and children and
domestic violence shelters
Our present go is to raise enough funds to open a brand-new
shelter for women and children, upon women coming out of
prison or rehab. Our goal is to re-establish them in society,
educate them, provide computer training, job interview skills,
professional clothing for interviews, housing and so much more.
We own a social media company and 50%
off of the top gross of every dollar generated
supports and funds this 501c3 nonprofit
