The Solaris Multigas Detector is availablewith rechargeable lithium ion or alkalinebattery packs. The rechargeable lithium ionbattery version offers 14+ hours ofcontinuous operation and fully recharges inless than four hours. The alkaline batteryversion operates for 12+ hours using threeAA batteries within easy-access housing.

The Solaris FX Multigas Detector is ideal forchemical and petrochemical applications. Its improved LEL sensor has faster responseand release times for toluene, xylene andother aromatic hydrocarbons. World-Class Alarm SystemThe triple alarm system utilized in the SolarisMultigas Detector is outstanding. Highintensity LED visual alarms are visible from allangles. The Solaris Multigas Detector unit

also has a user-enabled LED that flashes agreen light every 15 seconds simply toindicate to the user that the instrument isworking properly. The Solaris MultigasDetector audible alarm is typicallymeasured in excess of 100 dB! Its shrill tonecalls urgency to potentially dangeroussituations and is not easily confused withother workplace sounds. A strong vibratingalarm is included as a standard feature.

Versatile DisplayEven with the tiny size of the SolarisMultigas Detector, this instrument offers asuperior display. Its backlighting providesexceptional contrast, making it easy to readin low-light conditions and from a variety ofangles. All gas concentrations are displayedsimultaneously and can be easily identifiedat a glance. The Solaris Multigas Detectordisplay also contains an alphanumericmessage bar that clearly displays specificcommands and easily guides users throughvarious instrument functions.

Simple CalibrationCalibration is intuitive and is accomplishedwith the push of a single button. This autocalibration feature greatly simplifiescalibration and reduces training needs. Itfeatures built-in logic and enables the use of a wide variety of calibration gasconcentrations.

Long-Life Batteries

Lithium Ion Battery VersionThe rechargeable lithium ion batteryprovides 14+ hours of continuous operation and out-performs other batterytechnologies in extreme environmentalconditions. The Solaris Multigas Detectorbattery will fully recharge in less than fourhours and will still maintain over 80% of itsoriginal capacity after 500 recharge cycles.There is nothing extra to buy—all SolarisMultigas Detector units are shipped with acharging cradle and power cord.

Alkaline Battery VersionThe Solaris Multigas Detector is nowavailable with alkaline batteries. Thisversion of the Solaris Multigas Detector willcontinuously operatefor 12+ hours utilizingthree AA batteries.Designed with twoeasy-to-remove thumbscrews and withdurability in mind, thisversion of the theSolaris MultigasDetector will continueto be one of industries’toughest and easiest-to-use instruments.

Galaxy™ System CompatibilityTo make the Solaris Multigas Detectorcompatible with the Galaxy Automated TestSystem, order the unit with the Datalogoption. As the industry’s leading standalonecalibration system, the Galaxy Systemallows users the ability to automaticallycalibrate, charge and keep calibrationrecords for their instruments. As an optionalfeature, the Galaxy System provides accessto calibration records and results via awired or wireless network interface.

Optional Sampling PumpThe Solaris Multigas Detector offers anoptional powered sampling pump that iscontained within the sampling probeaccessory. The basic pump platform usesthe same proven technology as other MSAportable instruments. The pump probe canbe used with up to 50 feet of tubing forremote sampling applications. The pumpmodule also includes an extensive filteringsystem to keep liquid and particulatecontaminants at bay.

Solaris FX Multigas DetectorThe Solaris FX Multigas Detector has animproved LEL sensor that has fasterresponse and release times for toluene,xylene and other aromatic hydrocarbons.With these enhancements, the Solaris FXMultigas Detector is ideal for use in thechemical and petrochemical markets,where fast detection and clearing ofaromatic hydrocarbons is crucial.
