    Air-conditioning in the passenger compartment and in thedrivers cab provides a comfortable travel all weather con-ditions. The design of the Solaris Urbino city bus makesthe work of the driver and maintenance personnel easy.

    Depending on their length (10, 12, 15, or 18 meters inthe articulated version), Urbino buses may take up to 183passengers on board. The buses are driven by modern,durable and economical diesel engines that meet currentenvironmental requirements or by engines powered bycompressed natural gas. The interior is spacious, quiet andneatly designed, with step-free aisles that ensure a safeand comfortable journey.

    The Solaris Alpino, with its length of 8,6 m and width of 2,4 m, the smallest and thethinnest low-oor bus produced by Solaris.This vehicle was designed primarily for winding mountain roads anarrow streets of historic town centres. It also performs very welin congested big city centre. Despite its small size, the bus offersthe same travel comfort and functionality as longer Solaris low-or vehicles.     The Urbino 12 , with the p ossibility of installing 44 seatwith a door arrangement typical for intercity buses (singledoor in the front and double door in the back) makes it anideal solution for interurban transport. Unlike other low-or Solaris buses, this model has no engine tower and itsdrive unit is mounted horizontally, allowing seats to be mounted above the engine.

    The growing popularity of public transport inspired Solaristo launch two new models of the Urbino family: the Urbino12 and the Urbino 18,75. Both vehicles continue the phi-losophy of their best-selling brothers and sisters, but provi-de extra space for passengers.The Urbino 18,75 is the longest bus produced by Solarisso far. This model was extended between the rst and se-cond axle, which resulted in a turning radius that is onlyslightly increased. It allowed to maintain the same conve-nient way of driving the bus and its easy maintenance.

    The Solaris Urbino CNG is a city bus powered by compressed natural gas it is available in 12, 15 and 18-metre versions.Its popularity results from the combination of reliability, functiolity and eco-friendly operation typical for the whole Urbino famThe gas-powered drive allows the emission of gaseous pollutantto be reduced by 85%, and particulate matter by almost 100%when compared to conventional engines. Therefore the UrbinCNG meets the most stringent environmental standards.

    for the aviation industry. In 1999, we provided a rst comfortable and well equipped midi bus, which operates asa VIP vehicle at Warsaw Okcie Airport. Today, our airpobuses are used across Europe, including the airports ofParis Charles de Gaulle, Hamburg and Riga.

    Solaris airport buses are designed to provide maximumpassenger comfort and safety. Additional doors on the leftside of the vehicle allow passenger to enter and leave thebus easily and quickly.
