South Molton U3A
November 2017 Newsletter
Meetings held in Filleigh Village Hall on the second Tuesday of
the month at 10.00am
www.southmoltonu3a.co.uk
From the Chairman: Lorie Jones 01769 574637
I love Christmas and have always done so. I really
enjoy the run up to Christmas as well and try to be organised
and buy presents etc. throughout the year. Even I, though,
was slightly stunned to go into a garden centre on 1st October
to discover all their Christmas display was out on show.
Much as I love Christmas trees it is hard to be enthusiastic
about them when it is still autumn.
,m By the time you read this newsletter, however,
Christmas will be impossible to ignore. South Molton always
looks really attractive at this time of the year and I think the
town’s decorations are really appealing and effective. A real
fixture in the town now is the Christmas Tree Festival in the
parish church.
The range of trees is a real delight and our U3A will once
again be decorating one for display. If any of you reading this
are artistically gifted and would like to help decorate our tree,
I would be delighted to hear from you.
CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 2017
As in previous years, we will be taking part in the Christmas Tree Festival in
the parish church of St Mary Magdalen, South Molton. Any offers of help
to erect the tree on Nov 28th/29th will be very welcome. Please see Lorie.
