Background

IVAO Indonesia Special Operation Group Flight Event 2011 is the biggest

special operation event created by IVAO Indonesia Special Operation

Department.

This event is a group flight event start from 3 major Indonesia Air Force Base

(Sultan Syarif Qasim II Air Force Base of Pekanbaru-Sumatera, Adi Sumarmo Air

Force Base of Solo and Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base of Ujung Pandang)

with destination to Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base of Jakarta.

As the archipelago country, the Air Force unit becomes very important.

Indonesia Air Force equipped with sophiscated fleets serves as military defence

unit, military or VVIP transport unit will bring you new experiences by flying

this event.

Also, along this event, you will serve by our best Air Traffic Controller (ATC)

which make your flight safe and joyful.

Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base

1. About Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base

Former known as Cililitan Air Base, Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base

located at east of Jakarta was the most complete air force base in

Indonesia and categorized as A Class Air Force Base with 3000 meters

runway length.

Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base functioned as the headquarter of

Air Force Operation Command I, Air Force Education Command

Headquarter, National Air Defense Command Headquarter and other Air

Force Function Facilities Center.

The logistic and transportation unit that headquartered in Halim

Perdanakusuma Air Force Base :

a. Squadron 2, equipped with CN235-100M/220M and F27-400M b. Squadron 17 “Kereta Kencana / Golden Chariots” (VIP/VVIP

squadron), equipped with Boeing 737-4U3, Boeing 737-2Q8, F27-

400M, F28 Mk, L100-30, C-130H-30, NAS332L.

c. Squadron 31, equipped with L100-30 and C-130H-30

Engineering Squaron 021 also headquartered in this Air Force Base.

Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base also serve commercial flight which

operated by national airlines and be the only airport which the only one

exit and entry point for official guest of Government of Indonesia.

1. About Adi Sumarmo Air Force Base

Adi Sumarmo Air Force Base has a major task in conducting air force

education, air operation and the development of the aerospace.

Adi Sumarmo Air Force Base supervises 5 education squadron : squadron

education 401, squadron education 402, squadron education 403,

squadron education 404 and squadron education 405.

Adi Sumarmo Airport also serve domestic and international commercial

flight also as Hajj flight debarkation and embarkation airport.

Hasanuddin Air Force Base

1. About Hasanuddin Air Force Base

Hasanuddin Airport used for TNI-AU (Indonesian Air Force) which houses

Skadron Udara 11 (Air Squadron 11). Since operational commercial flight

moved to new terminal, this squadron used the old terminal. The

Squadron is equipped with Su-27SK, Su-30MK/Su-30MK2, A-4E/A-4H,

TA-4H/TA-4J. Except for the TA-4J/T-4H all Skyhawks are retired and are

currently being replaced with new Su-27SKMs & Su-30MK2s Flankers.

Later it will become house of F16 aircraft.

Hasanuddin Airport also serve domestic and international commercial

flight also as Hajj flight debarkation and embarkation airport.

Sultan Syarif Qasim II Air Force Base

1. About Sultan Syarif Qasim II Air Force Base

Sultan Syarif Qasim II International Airport is an international airport

that serves the city of Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. The airport is often

referred as to SSQ II, SSQ or Sultan Syarif Kasim II International Airport

(SSK II), and formerly known as Simpang Tiga Airport. The name of the

airport is obtained from Sultan Syarif Qasim II which is a pre-

independence historical figure from Riau.

The airport also a Type B airbase of the TNI-AU (Indonesian Air Force),

homebase of the 12th Squadron, a shelter to some Hawk Mk.109s and

Mk.209s.
