The Leslie County Lady Eagles Basketball team and coaching staff will be work-ing in conjunction with The Leslie County Shrine Club to benefit Shriners Hospi-tals. Shriners Hospitals for Children is a health care system of 22 hospitals dedi-cated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, in-novative research, and outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals. Children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay. The first benefit for this great organization will be collecting pop top tabs off alu-minum cans. After collecting these pop top tabs, we can forward these to The Leslie County Shrine Club and money will be given directly to Shriners Hospitals. If each teacher and office staff would collect from both students and from your own personal use, members of the Lady Eagle Basketball team will be around to collect those. We will have our first collection day on October 15th and collect every 2 weeks until the end of the school year after that point. Please keep them in your room/office until someone comes around to pick those up. I believe a lot of families in our area have benefited from Shriners Hospital, in-cluding my own. Please help The Lady Eagles Basketball Team in assisting The Leslie County Shrine Club for this great cause.
