ABOUT ASME
For more than 100 years, ASME has
successfully enhanced performance
and safety for the energy and piping
industries worldwide through its
renowned codes and standards,
conformity-assessment programs,
training courses, journals, and
conferences – including the Offshore
Technology Conference (OTC), the
International Conference on Ocean,
Offshore and Arctic Engineering
(OMAE), Turbine Technical Conference
and Exposition (TURBOEXPO), and the
International Pipeline Conference (IPC).
ASME’s 2015 Hydraulic Fracturing Conference draws long-sought focus to the central role of mechanical engineering in shale-development and hydraulic fracturing. This three-day conference will deliver cutting-edge solutions for op-erations; specifically, the construction, delivery and production of unconventional wells, associated infrastructure and applied solutions. It will feature wellbore and surface equipment, including pumps, transmissions and power – a critical focus, as these areas account for nearly 80% of equipment costs.
This dynamic event will bring together industry leaders to discuss highlights, trends, and new technologies and solutions related to ‘above-ground’ stimula-tion equipment and the inherent mechanical engineering involved. The result will be a high-level, three-day conference program that highlights critical chal-lenges and opportunities associated with hydraulic fracturing.
