Nautical Facilities Mataró Port

In recent years, Mataró Port, with its sporting and fi shing facilities, has become a major benchmark on the Catalan coast, thanks to its outstanding location and top-class facilities.

This spacious marina is easy to get around and has room for 1,080 craft with a draught of between 5 m and 9 m and a length of between 7 m and 30 m. It also houses a wide range of nautical services and business. In addition, it boasts a wide range of restaurants and bars offering typical Mediterranean food, and plenty of tempting nighttime attractions.

Mataró Port is fi rmly committed to environmental protection: it holds EMAS certifi cation and ISO 14001 certifi cation in environmental qua-lity and has a Blue Flag.

The Port’s location makes it easy to enjoy the town’s tourist attrac-tions: accommodation, restaurants, shops, guided tours and walks, concerts and much more.

Port users can make use of nautical centre, waiting wharf, petrol, diesel, water, gel, laundry, launch ramp, ATMs, crane, gantry, main-tenance, repairs, nautical equipment, security service, fi re-fi ghting service, daily weather forecast and radio communication.

Municipal Nautical Centre

The Municipal Nautical Centre is a 177-m2, two-story building.

It includes men’s and women’s changing rooms, services, manage-ment and customer-service offi ce, multiuse room (for courses, con-ferences, competition control) and a facilities and equipment room.

The centre is designed to support the activities of the nautical clubs based in Mataró Port; as well as providing information and enabling for other activities related to the seafront and the sea and promoting the town.

The fl at Maresme seabed, with its long rows of perforated rocks, will surprise you with its wide variety of fl ora and fauna. Come and discover the rich world of one of the major and most characteristic natural seabed resources: the alguer in Mataró.

Underwater experience: with all the necessary material and ac-companied by a diving instructor to discover all the sensations of being at one with the sea.

Diving in the underwater meadow of fl owering sea grasses: diving trips to depths of 15-25 m to experience the underwater meadows of fl owering sea grasses.

Coral diving trips: diving trips to depths of 15-30 m to explore ancient fossilised underwater beaches.

Diving courses: Mataró is the ideal place to take diving courses, from Open Water to Dive Master.

Specialist diving courses: accompanied by professionals, you’ll learn about deep diving, night diving, orientation, research and re-covery, nitrox, sunken ships, etc.

Learn to sail along the Maresme coast and enjoy the gentle breeze and warm, sunny climate all year round.

Sailing experience: an initiation to the sea and sailing, with theore-tical and practical components. Aimed at people with no experience but who are keen to try out sailing.

Chartering sailing boats: a new initiative whereby you can hire top-class regatta boats with or without a skipper. You can hire the whole boat or places. 3-hour sailing sessions. Made-to-measure program-mes for incentive activities and Match Race for companies.

Mini-cruises: to discover the Maresme coast.
