Off Load Cleaning Service By SPP HYDROTECH For Condensers And Heat Exchangers

With our off load cleaning service for condensers and heat exchangers tubes, we insert bullet like cleaning bodies with three rows of spring loaded blades into every tube. With a special water gun, at a pressure of 18 bar, those bullets are shoot through the tubes - removing all debris, even hard deposits, from the inner surface of the tubes.

Since the size of the bullets is matching with the inner diameter of the tubes, those bullets can not harm or damage the tube wall.

At the same time as those bullets pass through the tubes, the water pressure is flushing the removed deposits out of the tubes.

For particular difficult deposits, SPP HYDROTECH can evengrid blast condenser tubes from the inside.

With a patendet rotating blast nozzle, SPP HYDROTECHcan blast condenser or heat exchanger tubes of a minimum diameter of 18 mm, and a maximum length of 15 meters.

Preparation of the inner surface of condenser tubes for tube end lining. Tube end lining protects condenser tubes who suffer from erosion corrosion or cracks near the tube sheets.

Special blast gun and rotating nozzle for blasting of the entire inner surface of condenser tubes.

Tube sheets, but also the inner surface of tubes can be coated.

Even heavily corroded tube sheets can be rebuild and repaired with the P2000 series of PLASTOCOR.

SPP HYDROTECH provides the complete service :

•Removal of old corrosion protection, such as rubber lining or epoxy coating.

•Grid blasting of water boxes or tube sheets.

•Application of PLASTOCOR.

With our special, state of the art equipment, and the tube lining coating system P 400 TL or P 400 Novolac of PLASTOCOR, extreme costly re-tubing of condensers or heat exchangers is not necessary.

With the computerized coating system, we can totally evenly coat by corrosion damaged or worn out tubes with a minimum diameter of 17 mm, and a maximum length of 15 meters.

Tube lining by PLASTOCOR means :

• Very short downtime of the condenser / heat exchanger

• Considerably lower investment in comparison to re-tubing

• A reliable, long lasting solution

After coating of the inner tube surface, the inner tube surface is smoother than the original tube surface, resulting in an reduced pressure lost of the condenser / heat exchanger – which consequently increases the efficiency.

With the P 400 K or P 400 Ceramic coating system, blades of cooling tower fans can be effectively protected against scaling or other forms of contamination.

Other parts, such as the gearbox housing, motor housing or the holding structure can efficiently and long lasting protected against corrosion.

Cooling water intake systems, such as traveling band screens or drum screens can be perfectly protected against corrosion, while the concrete structure of cooling water intake buildings or channels can be long lasting protected against erosion and “concrete cancer”.

Despite a perfect corrosion / erosion protection, PLASTOCOR P 400 K or P 400 Ceramic, adds additional strength to the weaken structures.

HYDROFLOR – The perfect coatingsystem by PLASTOCOR for concretestructures, like floring and cooling towers. While pressing water from neither side can penetrate the coating system, vapor can escape freely. This prevents the coating system from being lifted up.

Rehabilitation of heavily corroded cooling water pipes can performed with a special derivate of P 2000. With this derivate, SPP HYDROTECH can rehabilitate complete underground pipelines without repair welding.

With this method, SPP HYDROTECH sprays practically a pipe in pipe – or a tank in a tank - with sophisticated plural spraying equipment. The sprayed-in pipe is physically able to sustain the full operating pressure of the damaged steel pipe or tank. Depending on the pressure, the total thickness of the pipe in pipe coating can vary between 10 mm, and up to 200 mm.

With EEU CAULCK of PLASTOCOR, SPP HYDROTECH can rebuild seats of butterfly valves individually, as well as seal flanges.

In case of vacuum problems due to air leaks into the shell side of the condenser, SPP HYDROTECH can seal the area as a permanent solution from the outside, without any shut down.

Cooling water leaks can be either sealed from the inside, which requires a short shut down, or from the outside.

As a temporary solution, broken expansion joints might be sealed as well.

EEU CAULCK is a perma elastic sealing seal system with a hardness of 80 Shore A, which is approximately the hardness of an expansion joint.

EEU CAULCK is lasting solution for leaking problems at condensers, heat exchangers and similar equipment.

Special Cleaning Service By SPP HYDROTECH For Turbine Blades

As it is common for already many years in Europe, SPP HYDROTECH cleans turbine blades with the dry ice blasting method.

With the dry ice blasting method, dry ice pellets of the size of a rice corn are shot with a pressure of 3 bar to 16 bar on the blade surface.

Since the dry ice maintains a temperature of -78 degree C, the contamination experience a sudden temperature shock, resulting in reduced volume, and consequently in loosing its adhesion to the turbine blade surface.

The air pressure itself blasts the contamination off the turbine blades surface.

The turbine blades itself a virtually not touched by the temperature change.

The dry ice blasting method is totally dust free, and can be applied in any sensitive environment.

The blast away contamination can than be easily removed by an industrial vacuum cleaner.

Dry ice blasting has several advantages :

• It is not necessary to dismantle the turbine blades, and consequently any risk involved into dismantling and re-assembling is eliminated.

• Dry ice contains no water.

• Dry ice evaporates straight into Co2.

• Dry ice is non flammable

• The gas is inert and has no chemical reaction with the environment.

• There is no liquid phase in the process.

Dry ice blasting is an environmental friendly method, it is fast, safe and reliable.

Bernoulli Self Cleaning Debris Filter

The Bernoulli Filter is a fully automatic operating self cleaning debris filter. The Filter is available from an cooling water inlet size of DN 65 (21/2 “), up to DN 600 (24 “). The degree of filtration can be as small as 400 micron.

The Bernoulli Filter can be installed horizontally as well as vertically.

The cleaning sequence of the filter element is initiated by three methods.

• First, the filter can be cleaned (back washed) at any time by the operator by pushing the “back wash” at the control panel.

• Second, fully automatic – initiated by the pressure differential measuring system of the filter. The pressure differential between the raw water side and the clean water side is permanently monitored. After reaching a certain contamination of the filter element, the filter will automatically start its cleaning sequence.

• Third, by time. A timer, located in the control cubicle, can be set in a way, that the filter starts its cleaning sequence fully automatically at that pre-set time.

The cleaning procedure itself based on the Bernoulli effect.
