How do students hear about U-Turn?
They receive an EPF email, text or RamWeb alert and are specifically invited to U-Turn and can schedule an appointment

Case Studies
• Please break into a pairs and discuss your case study
• Consider the following questions:1. What questions would you need to ask the student to better
understand their situation?2. How might you use positive messaging in this situation?3. What academic coaching skills would help you with this
student?4. How might you help the student develop goals or an action
plan?
2) Head to Ballroom & log in to a laptop (eID)– https://secure.casa.colostate.edu/applications/uturn
3) Enter your table number and select the white box to indicate you’re ready to meet with a student.
5) Select the student name from the list, select your name from the drop-down menu, then select the “Assign” button.
10) Add steps for the student to meet their goals.• Include a deadline, details for the step, and contact
information if available/applicable.• Remember, SMART goals!
13) Select resources• Search for resources
• Resources in blue have representatives at U-Turn
• Select “Save Resource List and Send Email” button to send an email to the student with information about their Action Plan Goals and selected resources.
14) Accompany student to a resource table OR to the check-out station.
• Handoff to one of the resource tables OR check-out table.
• If meeting with a resource table, let student know they must check out on computer before leaving U-Turn.
• Say goodbye!• Student volunteers will assist the students to the
check-out computers and exit.
15) Select the white box next to your table number to show you’re ready to meet with another student.
• This step is very important! If you don’t select this box, your name will not appear on the list to be paired with another student.
16) Repeat until your shift is complete!
• When your shift is complete, check out with the desk staff at the computers by the lobby.– Return lanyard
• You’re done—thank you!
• Wear a green CSU polo or other CSU shirt
• Wear your nametags
• Please arrive for your shift on time
