Opportunity for Innovation
• Site presents opportunity for an innovative approach to a public facility– Commuter parking garage
– Bus transit
– Commuter carpool (slug) lanes
– Community event areas
• Project concept developed collaboratively through a multi-departmental team, and with community input
• Incorporates desirable public amenity spaces into otherwise utilitarian place (standard parking garage or park-and-ride area)
• Unique design and blending of complementary uses (short-term parking and car pool area used as community event space on weekends)
• Flexible design could accommodate future small office space
