Our ProcessRising Star is the ISBE approved District/School
Improvement plan for the State of IllinoisWe assessed 51 indicators to determine where we
are in the following categories: Vision and DirectionSchool Improvement ProcessesAllocation of Resources for School ImprovementSupport for School Improvement and Student
Achievement Teacher and Leader Effectiveness and Supports
The District Plan After assessing the indicators, Teaching and Learning supported the “Framework for Achieving Outstanding Results” by selecting 4 objectives in instruction to include in the plan.
D9 The district curriculum will encompass a set of knowledge, skills and behaviors of appropriate content and rigor to prepare students for both college and careers.
D11 The district will ensure the delivery of the curriculum is differentiated to meet the needs of all learners.
IA13 The district will work with the school to provide early and intensive intervention for students not making progress.
IA14 The district will recruit, train, support, and place personnel to competently address the problems of schools in need of improvement.
Rising Star School Improvement Plans
Schools have gone through the same process as the district. Additionally we have fulfilled the peer review requirement.
