FOUNDED IN AUGUST 2007, FISKER AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCED ONE OF THE WORLD’S FIRST LUXURY PLUG IN HYBRIDS, THE KARMA. ONE BILLION DOLLARS LATER, ALONG WITH DAMAGING REVIEWS, RECALLS, LAYOFFS AND LAWSUITS, FISKER AUTOMOTIVE DECLARED BANKRUPTCY IN NOVEMBER 2013.

THIS PROJECT IS ONE COMPONENT IN A LARGER INITIATIVE TO REINVIGORATE THE BRAND.

THE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES) IS ONE OF THE LARGEST PRIVATE ELECTRONIC AND TECHNOLOGY TRADE SHOWS RUNNING. IT WAS CHOSEN FOR DUE TO ITS LOCATION (LAS VEGAS, NV), HIGH ATTENDANCE, POPULARITY, AND HISTORY AS A STAGE TO DEBUT INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS.

LETS BE CLEAR, THE FISKERS ON DISPLAY HERE HAVE BEEN RETOOLED AND BUILT TO A NEW STANDARD AND ARE FINALLY READY TO BE SEEN.

ANOTHER REASON WHY CES WAS CHOSEN FOR THIS EXHIBIT IS BECAUSE IT OCCURS IN JANUARY. AS ONE THE FIRST MAJOR TRADE SHOWS OF THE YEAR TO HAPPEN, DEBUTING HERE GIVES THE BRAND TIME TO BUILD EXCITEMENT FOR SUCCEEDING EVENTS. ALSO, IT CAN BE USED TO GAGE USER REACTION ALLOWING FOR CHANGES TO BE MADE TO THE EXHIBIT BEFORE IT IS SHOWN AGAIN.

The entire exhibit is not to be any larger than the given 50’ x 80’ footprint. This includes any overhead lighting. It is for this reason that the physical exhibit is 46’ x 78’.

MATERIAL EXPLANATION

Studio BioFoam is a closed cell foam that can be painted and finished using all commonly used techniques. It is a zero emission material free of certain chemicals commonly found in other rigid foams. It generates no harmful air emissions during fabrication or use and can be easily recycled.

ECO by Cosentino is manufactured using 75% recycled materials including mirror, glass, porcelain, earthenware and vitrified ash. This product is responsibly manufactured and highly resistant to impact, chemical products and scratches

Vinyl composition tile is a highly durable floor covering made of PVC, limestone and other materials. It contains both pre and post consumer recycled content and can be recycled at the end of its use.

It is important that this Fisker Automotive exhibit employ the use of responsibly sourced and eco friendly materials. As company that wants to accelerate to the change to a brighter future, they must demonstrate this desire in all circumstances to convey the quality of their company.

THIS SURFACE PROVIDES INFORMATION ON THE FISKER KARMA AND IS LINKED TO THE COMPONENT WALL. SELECT A COMPONENT ON THE SURFACE AND SEE IT HIGHLIGHTED ON THE WALL. IN ADDITION TO THAT USES HAVE ACCESS TO ALL INFORMATION FEATURES IN THE RIBBON PLUS MORE.

THESE CONTROLS ARE COVERED IN KARMA INTERIOR FINISHES RESULTING A WARMER TACTILE EXPERIENCE WHEN USING THE SMART SURFACE.

Exhibit booth construction shall meet the requirements of 2003 NFPA 101, 13.7.4.3.4.

After hours fire watch must be provided for covered areas exceeding 300 square feet. The booth fire watch musthave the capability to contact in-house Security Dispatch by radio or other acceptable audible means.

The travel distance within the exhibit booth or exhibit enclosure to an exit access aisle shall not exceed 50 feet.

Vehicles on display (per 2003 NFPA 101, 13.7.4.4)

Fuel tank openings shall be locked or sealed in an approved manner to prevent escape of vapors; fuel tanks shall not contain in excess of one-quarter their capacity or contain in

excess of 19L (five gal.) of fuel, whichever is less. (NFPA 101, 13.7.4.4.1)

At least one battery cable shall be removed from the batteries used to start the vehicle engine, and the disconnected battery cable shall then be taped. (NFPA 101, 13.7.4.4.2) Batteries used to power auxiliary equipment shall be permitted to be kept in service.

Batteries must be disconnected. Auxiliary batteries not connected to engine starting system may be left connected.

External chargers or batteries are recommended for demonstration purposes.

No battery charging is permitted inside the building.

Combustible/flammable materials must not be stored beneath display vehicles.

Fueling or de-fueling of vehicles is prohibited (NFPA 101, 13.7.4.4.4)

Vehicles shall not be moved during exhibit hours.

36” of clear access or aisles must be maintained around the vehicle

Vehicles must be a minimum of 20 feet from exit of door or esit pathway.

No Leaks underneath vehicles.

Multi-level or covered areas are required to be limited to dimensions, which do not exceed 1,000 square feet in contiguous area

Exhibits with multi-levels, covered or roofed areas exceeding 300 square feet in size will require the installation of battery-operated smoke detectors. Any covered area that is also enclosed will require the installation of battery-operated smoke detectors regardless of the size of the area. All smoke detectors will emit an audible alarm that can be heard outside of the area and must be installed in accordance with NFPA 72

No storage of any kind is allowed behind booths or near electrical service. A one-day supply of product is permitted within but cannot be stored behind the booth.
