I have used ECCO shoes for daily casual wear and have always found them comfortable especially since I suffer from back pain problems. It came as a surprise when Christina from King Shoe Shop asked me to try out the BIOM EVO trainer for my running as I had not heard about them previously.

These pleasant looking light weight trainers have a snug fit and my foot felt secure and cushioned in them. As they are made of Yak leather they are extremely soft and give a feeling of barefoot running but with the added cushioning needed for our hard tarmacked roads and concrete pavements. They also left my feet dry even when running in the rain. I used the BIOM EVO both for my long distance running and also for 10k races, and have found them to be of a perfect balance. The stability and support provided by the shoes for my neutral running was excellent and they needed no breaking in. I would recommend BIOM EVO for neutral runners anytime.

I am a great fan of the standard Ecco shoes as I have always found them very comfortable for daily use. Nonetheless, I must admit I was initially a bit sceptical to go for the Ecco Biom Evo racer shoe. One has to keep in mind that my previous running shoes have always been Asics, apart from the occasional Nike. My Ecco Biom version has the Yak uppers which tend to bond to your foot and make it feel as though you are putting a glove on your foot. I really enjoyed the level of security I received when I wore the racers; it feels like an extension of your foot. With this extension came more confidence in each of my strides and ultimately a better overall run. The Yak uppers also provide an added advantage in that you don’t have to worry about running through mud or dirt as the shoe is easy to wipe down and nothing really stains the shoe. I mainly use the racers for speed training; be it on the road or on track, though I have also used the shoes for a number of races. As a conclusion, I have no hesitation to recommend the Ecco Biom to other runners as overall; it is one hell of a good investment and a shoe which your feet truly deserve.
