Teen CONNECT is the collaboration of Confirmation
Formation and St.A.T. Youth Ministry. It is an opportunity
for teens to connect, not only with one another, but with the
Church, members of the Parish family, and the local
community, through the demonstration of our Catholic
practices, communal worship, respect for human dignity, and
service outreach. It promises to be a fun and Spirit-filled day.

TEEN CONNECT
Vigésimo Octavo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario 13 de octubre de 2019 Al verlos, Jesús les dijo: "Vayan a presentarse a los sacerdotes". Mientras iban de camino, quedaron limpios de la lepra. — Lucas 17:13
Queridos hermanos y hermanas,
Un leproso extranjero es sanado y en acción de gracias
regresa para ofrecer honor a Dios. Escuchamos esta misma
historia tanto en la Primera Lectura como en el Evangelio de
hoy. Hubo muchos leprosos en Israel en la época de Eliseo,
pero solo Naamán el sirio confió en la palabra de Dios y fue
sanado. El Evangelio de hoy también implica que la
mayoría de los diez leprosos sanados por Jesús eran
israelitas, pero solo un extranjero, el samaritano, regresó.
Hoy se nos muestra cómo la fe se ha hecho camino a la
salvación, el camino por el cual todas las naciones se unirán
al Señor. El Salmo también espera el día en que todos los
pueblos vean lo que Naamán ve: que no hay Dios en toda la
tierra, excepto el Dios de Israel.
Vemos que este día llega al Evangelio de hoy. El
leproso samaritano es la única persona en el Nuevo
Testamento que personalmente agradece a Jesús. La
palabra griega usada para describir su "dar gracias" es la
palabra que traducimos como "Eucaristía".
Nosotros también hemos sido sanados por nuestra fe
en Jesús. A medida que la carne de Naamán se vuelve a
hacer como la de un niño pequeño, nuestras almas han sido
purificadas del pecado en las aguas del bautismo.
Experimentamos esta limpieza una y otra vez en el
Sacramento de la Penitencia, al arrepentirnos de nuestros
pecados y recibir misericordia de Jesús. Regresamos para
glorificar a Dios en cada Misa, para ofrecernos en sacrificio,
arrodillándonos ante nuestro Señor, dando gracias por
nuestra salvación. Consulte el inserto adjunto con un
mensaje de acción de gracias por un kermésse exitoso. Que
tengan una semana bendecida.

Informe de la Campaña ENCIENDE en San Alberto
Hemos recibido $275,650 en promesas de 75 familias. GRACIAS!
Incrementar el numero de familias que hacen una promesa pronto, es la fórmula del éxito en esta campaña histórica. Animamos a todos que aprendan más sobre este esfuerzo en nuestra parroquia y tomar una decisión para apoyarlo. No todos podemos hacer el mismo donativo, pero todos podemos hacer un verdadero sacrificio. El fin de semana del 20 de octubre celebraremos el Fin de Semana de Compromiso en todas las misas, animamos a todas las familias que devuelvan el sobre de compromiso para ayudarnos a lograr nuestra meta.
Con los fondos de la campaña ENCIENDE planeamos:
Reemplazar y modernizar el sistema audiovisual en el
santuario

2019 St. Albert of Trapani Annual Bazaar
Our Lord God has once again blessed our annual Bazaar with good weather. It will be a few weeks before we
have the result of the Bazaar, but I can say that we all had a good time this weekend.
This could not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of several groups and individuals.
Special mention to the Bazaar Committee (in no particular order): Will Hanson, Jude Opara and subcommittee
crews on Layout and Parking; Jeannette Calhoun and her Raffle ticket members; Frances Stovall and her T-shirt
sellers (and last minute Desserts booth leader and her crew); Gloria Allen and the money counters and ticket
sellers; Loreta Merino for soliciting sponsors and leading the Hot dog and Hamburger stand with her crew; Will
and Jo Rountree for the Plant Booth; Julio Lagunes and the soccer teams; Rachel Orda and the StAT Youth
Ministry; Willie Raymundo, Enrico Descotido, and the Filipino Ministry; Petronilla Okeke, Patrick Nwachukwu,

My special thanks to Gloria and Laura in the Parish office for helping with a lot of stuff for the Bazaar. Also,
thank you to Ikemefule Ekwueme for designing our Bazaar T-shirt this year.
We thank DJ CaИdyMan (Rosauro & Gregoria Valtierra, 832-774-1704) once again for providing us with good
music. The Missouri City Pops Community Band as well as the Hacendados de China, Nuevo Leon Band gave us
good entertainment. The Danza Aquetzalli dancers never fail to amaze us with their talents.
We thank with all our hearts our many sponsors and donors who have time and again given generously to help
with the cost of the Bazaar.
