Thinking about Church past, present and future?

Plenary Council 2020 The Catholic Bishops of Australia have asked us to respond to three questions about the future of the church. 1. What do you think god is asking of us in Australia at this time? 2. What questions do you have about the future of the church for the plenary council to

consider in 2020? 3. Do you have a story of your experience of faith, or the church you would like to share? You are invited to: • Join a small group discussion; • Provide written feedback; or • Make a submission on line. The local animator/s for this parish are: Sandra Ryan, Don Turvey & Paul Wyatt

ST VINCENT DE PAUL CONFERENCE:

Dear Parishioners as from this weekend, 24-25

November the Jessy Tree will once again be in the

foyer. We hope you can help us like you have be-

fore in helping the less fortunate families in our

area. This year we have had a very generous do-

nation of gifts for the young so we are asking your

help for children age 12-16 years and adults.

Please take a tag from the tree, you can also do-

nate money towards a hamper, limit of $50 or

some non-perishable food items which can go in

the hamper. Many thanks and God Bless.

PARISHIONERS AND FRIENDS SOCIAL LUNCH:

Dear Parishioners, there will be a social lunch on

7th December, in the Shack at 12 noon.

You are invited to come along, and please feel

free to bring a friend or neighbour with you. The

aim is to bring together people who would like

some company, interaction and good old fash-

ioned conversation, there ware no minutes, agen-

da or fees, we just ask that you bring a plate of

food to share, and enjoy each others company.

If you require transport, please ring Ray,

46843345, and we will do our best to accommo-

date you.

CALLIGRAPHIST REQUIRED— if you are able to as-

sist in the updating the Book of Perpetual Re-

membrance, a few times a year, please contact

PARISH FETE – WOW DIDN’T WE DO WELL!!

Still not quite final figures but we made about $20,000 – a really big help towards buying blinds, chairs and other furnishings for our New Parish Building. But not only that but we, a medium sized par-ish and school managed to create a sparkling day full of fun, entertainment, exciting things to do, good things to eat, bargains to buy, competitions to win, and time to sit and enjoy it all and talk with new and old friends. So a big thankyou to St Anthony and the Holy Spirit, plus all our other sponsors big and small. All the parishioners who patiently lis-tened to requests for different donations and gave most generously, all the School families who also donated in so many ways. And eve-ryone who gave their time in preparation, set-up on Saturday and on the day and the clear-up afterwards, including, of course, Kerry and her team. But most of all, everyone who came along on the day with smiles and some money. Between us we pulled off the event to be at on Sunday 11th November
