Wisconsin state law requires that the trustee be
elected by the members of the parish. The term of
office is two years. The amended and restated
Diocese of Green Bay by-laws limit trustees to three
successive terms with the possibility of re-election,
following one year of absence from this office.
A parish secretary-trustee is an active, responsible
parish member who is called to serve the parish as
advisor, overseer, and counselor. The secretary-
trustee holds an important role in the parish
community as a member of the parish council and
also has check-signing responsibilities. In the civil
corporate entity of the parish, a trustee is a
member of the corporate board and serves as a
trustworthy advisor to the pastor/administrator/
pastoral leader, who is also concerned for the well-
being and on-going development of a vibrant faith
community. Trustees must be informed, involved
and concerned about the parish and its members.
An effective trustee brings trust, harmony, wisdom
and counsel to the various aspects of parish life.
Nominations will begin May 9& 10th. Forms will be
emailed and/or mailed.

Nominees will also be considered for openings in
both the Parish Council and Finance Council. If you
are interested in serving your parish or you know a
parishioner(s) who you feel would be a good
candidates please list the name(s) on the
nomination form.

PARISH NEWS CONTINUED
Payroll Protection Loan
The Federal Government provided funding to assist
some businesses and non-profits to stay in
business. Under direction of Fr.Joe, assisted by the
Diocese and in support of the Finance Council and
Trustees , St. Bernadette applied for a loan and
received the monies on April 15th. Providing
certain guidelines, these monies will be used
primarily for payroll and payroll related expenses
which will then become a grant.
We continue to do all we can to be good stewards
of the funds provided by you, our parishioners.
We thank you for your continued prayers and
support of the Parish.
God Bless!
