32nd Sunday Ordinary Time ~ Wisdom, as defined by multiple sources, suggests an accumulation of
knowledge, experience, and a developing of the ability to make right judgements. Wisdom is an
interior thing. It is not ordinary knowledge but knowledge formed by experience and usually struggle
and suffering – the result is a knowledge that is often profound and affects the way we see things and
do things. Biblically speaking, wisdom is equated with God. Wisdom is also something that must be sought out and
hungered for because it doesn’t just happen; it happens because one becomes very open to it and longs for it to be
realized in their life. Listen to the Gospel today. Listen to the words and look at the actions of the ‘wise virgins’. Life
doesn’t just happen to them; life involves and demands from them a response and decisions. Wisdom is a promised
gift of the Holy Spirit. All who have received the gift in Confirmation must never presume it – but rather, engage it.
Every day one ought to ask of the Holy Spirit for another inpouring and outpouring of that gift of Wisdom so that with
it and through it, right decisions can be made that result in peace and confidence that God is right there, dwelling

Having completed the 3rd collection, it is worth pausing to look at the totals for the $10, $20, $50 combined amounts. Beginning with the
first deposit July 5th and concluding with the last deposit as of October 30th we have a combined total of $9,251. In that amount are deposits of several persons who chose to give the entire $180 – most of those in the 1st collection. Our last “I Love St. Bernie” collection will be the $100 amount. It will be moved from early December 10th to December 31st. Next year the collections will be spread throughout the entire year as opposed to six months. Thank you to all who participated in boosting our General Funds through this special collection. Thank you even more for living the spirit of “I Love St. Bernie” and caring deeply about the lasting
CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Next weekend, we will take up the Annual Collection for
the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. CCHD
was founded in 1970 by the U.S. Bishops, as their
domestic anti-poverty program. They realized that outreach
through established charitable services was not creating
the changes people needed in order to get themselves out
of poverty. With this goal in mind, the bishops worked to
address the underlying policies and systems that
perpetuate poverty, as a complement to direct service.

"Amo a San Bernie"
Habiendo completado la tercera colecta, vale la
pena detenernos para ver los totales de los
montos combinados de $10, $20 y $50.
Comenzando con el primer depósito del 5 de julio, y
concluyendo con el último depósito, 30 de Octubre,
tenemos un total combinado de $9,251. Esa cantidad
incluye depósitos de varias personas que optaron por dar
los $180 completos. La mayoría de ellos están incluídos en
la primera colecta. Nuestra última colecta "I Love St.
Bernie" será de $100. Esta será movida del 10 de
Diciembre, al 31 de Diciembre. El próximo año, las colectas
se distribuirán durante todo el año en lugar de un periodo
de seis meses. Gracias a todos los que participaron

PROYECTO “ANGEL TREE”
Este proyecto a nivel nacional conecta a los
padres que estan en prisión con sus niños
durante la temporada de Navidad. El fin de
semana del 18 y 19 de Noviembre, se
colocará una mesa afuera de la Iglesia para
empezar este proyecto. Usted podrá recoger una etiqueta
para comprar un regalo para uno de estos niños. De igual
manera se necesitarán voluntarios para envolverlos y
entregarlos. Favor de llamar a la oficina de la Iglesia para
ponerlos en contacto con Mary Trujillo.
CAMPAÑA CATÓLICA PARA EL DESARROLLO HUMANO
La próxima semana se llevará a cabo la Colecta para la Campaña
Católica para el Desarollo Humano (CCHD por sus siglas en Inglés).
CCHD fue fundada en 1970 por los Obispos de Estados Unidos como
su programa nacional antipobreza. Se percataron que llegar a la
comunidad a través de los servicios caritativos establecidos no estaba
produciendo los cambios que las personas necesitaban para salir de la
pobreza. Con ese objetivo en mente, y como un complemento al
servicio directo, los obispos trabajaron para hacerle frente a los
sistemas y a las políticas subyacentes que perpetúan la pobreza. Les
pedimos su generosidad para esta noble causa el próximo domingo.
